@16:48 Of the three coin cards, with a total value of four, Dave uses two of the cards, with a combined worth of three coins, to buy a card worth four coins, and then decides to keep the third card with a value of one - that he should have used to buy the aformentioned card costing four coins - for use in the next round.
at 6:59, I think dave is incorrect (at least according to latest rules pdf) "The Travel Log lets you draw 2 cards and then remove up to 2 cards in your hand from the game. " Rules say remove up to 2 cards, so I assume you can decide between removing 0, 1, or 2 cards.
I was about to comment about that after watching this video. Dave is definitely incorrect. The English rules as you stated above imply that the removing (from the game, not just discarding) of "up to 2 cards" implies that you "may" discard 1 or 2 cards (or 0 cards for that matter). This is NOT mandatory as Dave stated. All the cards that mandate removing a card from the game show that crossed-out card icon below the colored section (pink/purple in this case). The icons in the colored section are all optional.
I love the GameNight! crew and the format of the show, but it drives me nuts that the guys are always trying to play Nikki's turns for her. She's a big girl, let her play her own turns.
Trevor Gillingham She is often also interrupted during the discussion. Although in this instance it was Mark that couldn't get a sentence out without people talking over him.
Eminent Domain is also a deck builder where you keep some cards for the next turn and draw up to your hand limit. It's a cool mechanic. This looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait for the North American version to come out.
18:06 "Well, I'll ask him, but I don't think he'll be very keen. Uhh, he's already got one, you see?" [Monty Python is always fun to reference during gaming sessions.]
Came here to get a head's up on how to play, as I bought this game on "last day of Toys R Us" for my son's birthday this month. 13:35 Dave, with the Banana Splits reference made me laugh. Oldtimers, unite!
I'm so excited, love this _'wedloff nch elldoradoh'_ . my lovely cup of tea is ready, perfect. looking forward to see who's going to win this game of _'wedloff nch elldorado'_ !
I could not find in the rulebook if you are allowed to look back in your discard pile which cards you have already played and which not. I don't know what is better or more fair.
I thought this was a remake of the early 1990 game El Dorado. The map is way different that's definitely not South Africa and there's no revolver card. That was such a good game.
@33:30,. Pretty sure Lincoln cheated. Played a card to draw two cards. Draws last card then shuffles discard pile. As camera cuts back to him you see him draw two cards from new shuffled discard pile making g it 3 cards. Put an * next to that W maybe 😉
Cheated sounds like a very strong word to use. I don't think Lincoln or Dave would purposely try to take advantage. They do a good job playing a game for our entertainment and clarifying rules that people may have from just reading a rulebook. Just like any of us when we are first playing new games, mistakes are meant to happen. At the end of the day, the purpose was accomplished and the video turned out fun.
When it came to going through the deck and reshuffling your own discard pile reminded me of Abandon all Artichokes. 😀
Poor Mark, the other guys ain't letting him talk too much.

Wow, I need to get this game!

Trevor Gillingham And yet, here you are in the comments, doing the same thing you accuse her fellow players of doing.
Trevor Gillingham ... so true. It's been a repetitive issue for quite some time now.
Trevor Gillingham a
Trevor Gillingham Yeah.... one guy is the boss ... he like to be dominant??
Late to the game but I got this for Christmas, had our firs game last night and it was super fun!

At about 33:00, play the multi-move to go to water, then a machete to go to the next green. Puts you one closer.
Looks like Lincoln is also guilty of spending two single coin cards to move on to a double coin space at 24:43
Nikki is the only one who didn't do that.
Nikki P: "Just... go cut some trees". 😂😂😂

@21:56, Dave mistakenly puts the 4 gold card back in his discard pile, when it should be trashed after use.
@22:40 Dave remembers to remove the 4 gold “Treasure chest” card from his discard pile and out of the game. :)
Great vid !!!

21:13 Seem russ spend two gold cards (value 1) to move to a value 2 space. This isent allowed right?
Yep
Question: the scientist let you draw 1 card and toss 1. My doubts is, Do i have to toss a card or I can decide if I want to?

Good play through and enjoyable as usual but poor Mark did get spoken over quite a few times in the final thoughts section …
OMG Lincoln's shirt
Is there a reason y'all didn't play with the mountain tiles on the board? Thought that was a fun element to the game to help give a boost or two..
Enjoyed watching this, I think you should play again with a different layout, I think this is one I might like to have in my collection.

What sleeves are you using please?
At 21.21 is Mark allogeen to add up his gold to go to a 2-gold-place?
*allogeen=allowed (dumb Dutch autocorrect) 😋

Guess you didn't see the winki face?
sorry, my bad. I typed through my phone and missed the icon! my apologies!!
Quest For Camelot (1998) + The Road To El Dorado (2000) = The Quest For El Dorado
1990 El Dorado bord game by Arasai is where it all started. Looking for that game brought me here lol
Another game I will probably end up buying because of your video. My wife says, "Stop!! Stop now!"
People I'd love to game with.
20:42 da dump 😂
Missed opportunity when Nickie said the joke was corny.
Isn't this almost the same game as that Salmon Run one you guys did? :)
you shouldn't laugh, Dave...you are doing pretty well pronouncing the title! :-)
Awesome!
We need more jokes from Dave!
O😊😊
