Its better to use the Anti-Spark version of the XT90 connector at the lipo. And please, solder only when both connectors are stick togehter to take away some heat. If not, it can happen that the metal pins come loose in there plastic housing. Use a solder iron about 60W and with a chisel shape soldering tip.
There are plenty of adaptors that convert to original TRX plug that will work in TRX ID (new connector) plugs in the car. The issue is when you have a charger with only TRX ID input. If this is the case I suggest you get a traditional charger that can accept battery balance leads.
