Larian didn't cancel any BG3 dlc. They only confirmed that they were NOT going to create any, despite fan expectations. Baldurs Gate 3 was released as a complete game right from the start. Larian has supported their game with patches, updates and bug fixes. They are a responsible developer. Sven and company just intend to bring their talents to a new challenge and property.
No, they did confirm it was already being worked on, but the devs were frustrated by the limitations of having to build around 5e D&D and then there's the fact that all the WotC staff they worked with were fired... so their hearts weren't in it anymore.
Larian -Makes Baldurs Gate 3 -Makes millions selling Baldurs Gate 3 -Wins mutiple game awards including multiple GOTY awards -refuses to make post game DLC -elaborates why the refuse to make post game DLC -leaves These people came in with the one hit wonder and left a whole legacy! You gotta respect it. 👌🏾
No they are not. DOS3 is not happening. If you know Divinity’s timeline well then you can tell Larian knows better to tie current loose ends than fiddle with the already-a-mess history.
This doesn’t make any sense. Another studio can’t just “pick up”where they left off. Baulders gate was the culmination of 3 games and 20 years of iteration. The competition needs to reverse engineer all of it. Its a big ask
I'll honestly be satisfied, DLC/expansions or no, if Larian release the multi-platform mod support they announced. Would basically make the game immortal.
Wizards of the coast will absolutely ruin bulders gate not only that, but they don’t even care about magic gathering anymore card game anymore game has turned into who’s spends the most on booster packs 😂😅
They might have if WotC didn't fire all the staff that worked with Larian on BG3 and weren't being excessively restrictive about adherence to 5e, especially amidst the changes being made. WotC ruin everything.
You are leaving out that they WERE working on dlc and discussing BG4 and WotC hamstrung the whole thing by firing all the WotC staff who were helping Larian adapt 5e and helping them with lore but still were requiring Larian to adhere to 5e, which was why the devs got burnt out and frustrated. They had new ideas and no cooperation from WotC, when you read between the lines of that interview. Never forget what Hasbro/WotC took from us!!! Don't buy any official merch now that the license is back in H/WotC's hands!!! They don't deserve to be rewarded!
Will never trust Hasbro eiththe property all they will do is harm it and make lazy decisions. They only interesting thing they could do is maybe make BG3 versions of popular Campaign Modules like Curse of Strahd.
They did not. They literally said last week they were canceling DLC plans and we're only getting 1 more update that adds more evil endings. DLC was confirmed in the plan.
@@AnarexicSumoSo, they kinda planned to make a dlc recently and the layoff from Hasbro happened, they immediately said, "naah bro we won't work for unhealthy company", leave and refuse to elaborate. What a chad move 😂
They did planned a DLC and already started work on it, but canceled it because the DnD 5th edition holding them back, along with other reasons *cough*wotc/hasbro*cough*
If Larian did a Cyberpunk styled turn-based RPG with the scope of BG3.......my word.
Star Wars, cowboys, modern age, they could probably do it all
Shadowrun

Didn't finish act 3/upper city, but they made sure to clear out as many exploits as they could 🙄
man, a Baldur-style remake of the first 2 fallout would be extremely interesting
Oh you reading my mind!!!
YOOOOOOO
And now im sad this doesnt exist
U cooked
You read my heart AND Mind!!!!

Hasbro and wizards are the villians of any nerds story. They will ruin this like magic and dnd.
My thoughts exactly.
Baldurs gate is dnd. They're just gonna further ruin it
Giga Chad Larian Studio. One of my Favorite Devs.
Bro bioware dropped the ball last time, give Larian mass effect
Dragonborn gets it
dwarfs the scope? Please don't die the MMO death Larian
Such a giga chad move from Larian to drop an absolute bombshell of a game like BG3 for other studios to panic over and just leave 😂
Give them their standing ovation, and let's see what they can do truly unshackled by budget concerns.
Correction: Larian's next project may actually be Divinity: Original Sin 3 - Vincke neither confirmed nor denied it
😅😂

@@cyber_ortek The CEO of the company literally said they're making it.
@@cyber_ortekwtf lmao? They confirmed themselves that they would make it

They should make vampire the masquerade
True. Even if Paradox has the reputation to make games. But it is mostly a grand strategy game. Also it has been decades since the news.
This is cause they are working on half life 3
😆😂🤣
Wait, there's a Half Life 3?
Lol Half-Life 3 coming out is real as Titanfall 3 coming out.
😂
Critical Role without a doubt, they even said they enjoy Critical Role and if the studio just them do their own thing, with no fees, it'd be great
Spelljammer Setting would be cool, or at least something similar- anything to give me that Treasure Planet feel
Wizards of the coast will absolutely ruin bulders gate not only that, but they don’t even care about magic gathering anymore card game anymore game has turned into who’s spends the most on booster packs 😂😅
Something warhammer
Icewind Dale or neverwinter nights 🥰
I’d like to see them do Baldur’s Gate 4 honestly

Hear me out, Skulduggery Pleasant
40K Please Larian!!
Really should have given us a "going to hell to fix _someone's_ heart" DLC... Bastards.
I've played from the beginning and with all the changes it feels like I've had a lot of DLC since then 😂

Just bring anything you love working on and it will be awesome.
No licence because you deserve the money;)))
Anything from heart.
I’d like to see them do star wars Knights of old republic
Ive still got to get through divinity lol
A solid Steampunk setting 💜
Imagine basically balders gate 3 But spelljammer and more 'regions'.
Time to Hide with a Masquerade!
Let them make a vampire world of darkness game 🎯
Something in Middle Earth please please please
Bioware gonna claimed back at this point lol
Yesss.
Icewind dale
Solar punk! Solar punk! Solar punk!
Dwarf baldurs gate 3?
Cyberpunk Red
Cyberpunk style bg3
Star Wars with bg3 mechanics

Do we need another game based off of cyberpunk red? Cp2077 is already a great game!
Well..... After maaaaaany patches... xD
Its crazy how hasbro is a generic super villian and nobody talks about it
Warhammer time baby!
let larian cook
But why hashbro
Pathfinder
Best part of bg3 was taking off shadowhearts clothes
Kotor with bg3 game engine best game ever made
40k rpg
Cheeky bit of false information from IGN there, there was no DLC to cancel, all they did was re confirm that there won’t be any dlc
"Dwarfs the scale of bg3" Great another game that does not respect my time
Dragon Commander 2 O.O
Divinity 3
They never cancelled the DLC???? They announced from the get go that they would be no DLC, you know google exists IGN

Classic IGN. Larian never even planned DLC. The closest they ever got was not ruling it out.
So no, Larian did not "cancel" any DLC.

Warhammer 40k
Space game to make Starfield cry
Because it was a messy experience
ew cyberpuke
They need to hire better animators. Baldurs gate 3 has that ubisoft facial animation yuck.
