This guy Paul Rodgers is just a rock legend, and do you know what ?. he is still the guy next door, He is so down to earth, and humble in many ways. He is just a great example of someone who has achieved so much, yet he remains the same .God bless you man. and thanks for that great music, and of course that voice !

Paul Rodgers is the ultimate British voice, long may he continue. I saw him with Queen in Dubai - little did he know a lad from Hartlepool was in the crowd.

what a treat listening to this man live. Only a few have the same voice out of studio. He is one of them.

I just listened to a 2011 Paul Rodgers show last night. I had read good things by the person who uploaded the show. I was hoping it would be a great audio, sadly it is not but Paul sings like a demon. Paul doesn't try to hit a lot of the higher notes these days and he goes for the grit instead quite often. All I am saying is that even in his sixties Paul Rodgers is unbelievable vocally. He literally schools all other singers every time he gets on stage. I think the keys to his greatness lies in his passion for the music, his passion for performing live and he loves his own voice as much as we do. That said, Paul isn't going for the grit on this acoustic performance so that much is missed here.
And how about that "Soon I Will Be Gone". Paul says he never played it live before this show. And on that show I was listening to Paul closed the show with "Walk In My Shadow" by FREE. Paul ended the song saying it was the first song he ever wrote.

I always thought Paul Rodgers was a great musician even back in 1968. Love that Tons of Sobs of Free era. I have just found out Andy Fraser passed away this month. What a heart break. I also thought Kosoff was great and was my fav guitarist even to this day.

Fourteen years old, shared bedroom with my brother's records crackling away on the Dansette. I know there is still good music around, but what the hell happened? I think we were fortunate to live through that period. I smile when I see a twelve year old wearing a Led Zeppelin t-shirt today. I discovered then that this man possessed an exceptional voice, I wasn't told that by anyone on x-bleedingfactor, I knew it. There was a Kimbara Strat in the window of U-Name-It on the way to school that I drooled over, I could see myself in Kossoff pose telling the world where to go...I could never afford it of course. At 52, I am now mature enough to tell myself that I was correct back then. This voice is still one of this nations finest exports to the rest of the world, so much so, it should be in receipt of a govenment grant.
