Inspired by Paul Davids ? Great video and good tips. I am indeed bored at the moment by my playing. Bought a new guitar today, I will try alternative tunings 👍
Do you think it will be suitable for one finger playing? Unfortunately, I miss some fingers, so I usually tune to Open G or Drop D, because of easy way to jump all over the fretboard and to play power chords.
Hey man! I think for one finger, Open G is much better. Although you can fret chords with one finger in this tuning, you only get Minor9 chords out of it - which is not the best. Open G has a lot more possibilities. Keep playing!

This is exactly my sound and how I want to sound. No other youtuber sounds likes this
Joey.
I’m liking your channel and lessons more by the day. Freaking awesome 😎
These sort of coop alternate tunings make for some wild ideas.

What did you get?
Albatross by Big Wreck is a great example of open B. A beautiful song.
It's gonna be a while until i finish your video. Listening to The Intersphere. Awesome referral :)
Hey Joey, you've made me a way better player! Thanks so much!!!
I love to hear that. Thank you!
Bm9 = B (down p4) B (up M2) D F# (down m2) C# (up M2) C# (down m3)
I treat this video like I treat music, I keep repeating it
that heavy riff at the opening was insane man !
you would like every 2005-2015 post-hardcore band like Thrice.
Interessant Joey. Ich experementiere grad mit der open G Stones Stimmung für heavy Rock rum. Probiere deine auch mal
Sweet!
I hear some Alter Bridge/Tremonti influencers here :) absolute stunning

@joeyjooones Thanks. Yeah, it might be even more limiting because for most time, I play on 3 and 4-stringers of my own making.
Who is the maker of that guitar?
Looks like a Nik Huber guitar
It's limited like I can play anything in B Standard
Why can't you? Are you incapable of basic chord construction theory application?
What string gauge do you use for this tuning please?
Normal 10-46. let it flop a little :)
Ok. Thank you
Wow .... Why the haters in the comments? That's completely unnecessary.
I was doing this 20 years ago. At a certain point you need to just buy a 7 string.lol
I own 2 7-strings, and I call bullshit.
Seems to me that either Brandon Boyd or Mike Patton could sing over this melody
no one uses... looks over at Devin Townsends most TH-cam popular song, kingdom...
One example doesn't disprove the statement. 😂😂
@@SamBrockmann Okay. So... One equals zero.

@@Flanelman1, whatever helps you cope, buddy.
meh...
I wonder how many videos he's going to post about the exact same thing
What are you talking about? This is my first video about this tuning.
@@joeyjooones🤣🤦♂️ People love to hate. It’s so weird
I wonder why you're so dumb. 😂😂
@joeyjooones what is this guitar?! ;) i mean both of them
Nik Huber
