    again, if it's all being divided in the last step, why is everything in parenthesis? very confusing.

      This is pretty late, lol! But basically, you multiply (1.8)^2 and (0.11) first, which should give you 0.3564. So, you're equation now is gonna look like 0.470 = k (0.3564). You divide both sides then by 0.3564. | 0.470/0.3564 = k (0.3564) / 0.3564 (this will cancel out this, just leaving k by itself). You're then left with 0.470/0.3564 = k. Just divide the remainder, which should give you the answer for k.
