Hello, Ms Amber. Thank you for your videos. I am from Peru, and I will be studying in the US. I haven't been in school for many years, so I didn't remember anything about math!!! I took the TSI exam yesterday and got a good score in math thanks to your videos. At college yesterday, I was asked how I had been able to do well in the math exam given the fact that I have no background in math. I mentioned your TH-cam channel, and the college representative wrote it down for future reference. You are an awesome teacher! You have an excellent methology. I cannot think of a better way to teach or learn math. Thank you!!! Congrats for the work you do.
WOW! This just made my heart so happy! I am beyond happy that I've been able to help you! And thank you for mentioning me to the college, what an honor!! WOW Thank you!! & also.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!
@@laylaslearningzone419 Hello! All the help that Ms Amber gives in her videos is what you need to pass the math exam, coupled with the hours you have spent doing the math exercises in her videos. It's true what she says, "The tasks look difficult, but they are not." If I was able to pass the test with Ms Amber's help, you will be able to do it, too. If you need to make drawings during the test in order to understand the questions better, do it! That helped me a lot. ☺
Hi Ms. Amber, Im a graduating senior going to college soon and although I just took AP Calculus this last semester, I still needed a refresher on Algebra so I appreciate the help!! Its very sweet that you encourage your students by telling them they're doing a good job. I didnt know how much I needed to hear that till now. 🥲Thank you!
Hello Ms Amber thank you for question number 14 cause I solved it to get 7. When are you uploading more questions my test is tomorrow. Thank you so much!
@@makeitmakesense1504 thank you for asking I actually postponed it to Monday! I’ll let you know right away on Monday I’m sure I’ll do great from all your videos!!
Thank you so much I have an assessment on Thursday for a placement test and I’m only 12 and I’m trying to take college classes so this is really helpful to me and helped me learn new skills that I’m sure will be very beneficial on my assessment
🥹☺️I’m nearly double your age (23 until the Fall) & trying to remember everything again but I honestly was absent a lot from my health & stress, to it’s been awhile to remember elementary basics (ironically enough I remember elementary vividly & enjoyed its math: I just get discouraged too 🥲 and yet am hoping to work in mathematical business/ accounting ⌨️😂😅). You’ve got this! I started at 17, joined again at 23. Happy to see someone even younger at 12! 🙏🏼☺️
Aw wow! Awesome goals!! You should get in touch with your advisor and let them know your goals! As far as studying, I would take each practice test one by one and make sure you can master each problem.
The TSI is a specific type of Accuplacer (college placement test). If you are taking the TSI test I have a playlist for you to study from! Please let me know! But many of the same skills are covered! :)
I have a question about question 12, the 4th part (D). How can x have multiple values in the same equation? For example if we say x-6 is zero, then x is 6. so then x+6 would be 6+6=12. So 0x12 is still 0. I don't see where x has multiple values. I never took calculus so I don't know what I don't know I guess. Thanks for your help. What does factored mean? I'm going to watch more videos for a while before I take the test.
mam i am 25 and it has been 8 months since i came to usa. On this Thursday i have maths accuplacer test (29th feb). i want to go to college. Though i have set my mind to study certain course what course could you suggest me? please reply as soon as possible. Waiting for the course that you would suggest.......🎉🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations on coming to the US. I hope the journey benefits you and your family. What course are you looking to study? What are you interested in?
As long as I know when we are dealing with exponents and as the base we have a negative number that negative number can be multiplied by the same negative number only when it is inside a parentheses, for example (-6)^2 is the same as -6 x -6 which is 36. But when that negative number is not in a parentheses, even if it is a negative number, it has to be multiply by the positive base of that number for example -6^2 is the same as -6 x 6 which is -36. in short word, we will always be getting a negative answer out of question 14, which makes it impossible to solve. I hope explained it right.

hello, I want to get a 285 on the accuplacer test to waive pre calculus and get into calculus. wWhat would u suggest?

Ms Amber, what if for problem number 12, we came up with answer B via a different method?
Yes! as long as you were able to get the right answer, work how your brain works! That's what you most likely will do on your test!

Thank you for the explanation, for Question 12 Option D, why couldn't we also do (x-6)(x+6)= x^2 -36 where X would eventually be 6.
x could be -6
Great job
Ms Amber did u work question 20.? I can’t find it
Not yet- so sorry!
