Ever have the timing cover break where alternator connects? I have an 02 that just did that while driving 1st lost power steering then battery light came on and then it overheat. Safely got into a parking lot and popped hood and saw the alternator pulled to the left and pulley facing the firewall. With a light then was able to see it broke off not sure if the bolts are snapped as was too dark to tell. Not even sure if this is repairable or not. But it looks like from.what I can see is timing cover broke.
I have a 06 trailblazer without a transmission. So I want to install dual high amp alternators and have them charge 6 batteries in parallel. The goal being I need these batteries to run an EV motor that’s connected to my rear axle. It’s called a series hybrid EV. range extender. Similar to a Fisker. Can this goal be achieved using alternators? Or would I have to use a generator?

Great tutorial. I have a 2004 Grand Caravan which I love. Thank you so much. I like the fact that you seem very relaxed doing the job.
Awesome, thank you, buddy!
