hi! it's been one year since i posted this video, and i wanted to really dive into the details beyond just the classes i took - talking about the grades i got, the feelings i felt, etc. etc. if you'd like to check it out, linked here: th-cam.com/video/RAUbvVZrV5Q/w-d-xo.html
Great video. I needed something like this for political science lol hopefully I find something 🤞 the fact you graduated in 3 and a half years is super impressive :)
Love how down to earth/real your videos are! Just wondering, would you say its possible to get into project management without a technical background (cs, data analytics, etc). Currently studying finance and accounting and I'm interested in product management as a potential for the future!
thank you for the helpful video! You said that you waited to take certain courses so that you could take it with the professors you wanted. I was wondering if itd be possible for you to recommend a few!
ty this video is so helpful! I had a few questions - did you take more courses than the ones you mentioned in this video, or is 1-3 courses per semester a typical amount? also, is there a difference in going down the research in cs route in l&s vs eecs? and, I heard that there is a 30% passing rate in the intro classes that require a minimum 3.3 gpa in order to declare a cs major. is that true, and what is your experience with how people do in them?
I did take more courses! Here's the follow up video with my full schedule th-cam.com/video/TXMZbEvVp6Q/w-d-xo.html I'll have to pull a friend in to answer the research question as I'm not familiar with that route. As for the passing rate for intro CS classes, I'd be pretty surprised if only 30% passed...I tried looking for more info on this but couldn't find any. Unfortunately my sample size for passing rate is just my group of friends, all who passed. The intro courses are tough, but I feel like if you put in the work and seek out help if you need it, you'll be just fine.
Hey evelyn! Loved your video and it has genuinely been so helpful... i had a question though, is physics or any science(chem or bio) required to do cs? As i have maths and IT right now, im so confused please help me out
Cal grad here! (20 years ago lol) Can you talk about the process how you declared the CS major? Im aware of the 3.3 you need in CS 61A/61B/70 but is meeting just the 3.3 enough to get in? Or are you in competition with other students applying where you realistically need to get 3.5+ GPA? Also whats the path of people that dont get into CS major? Do they go into Data Science? (seems newer and less comp). Thanks in advance!
Awesome, go bears! You actually only need that 3.3 in those three classes to be admitted to the major. As long as you meet that requirement, you're in the major I believe. eecs.berkeley.edu/resources/undergrads/cs/degree-reqs-lowerdiv For people who aren't able to meet that requirement, I would say I've mainly see people go into Cognitive Science or Data Science since a lot of the prerequisites overlap!
Hmm..it's honestly been a while since I took those classes. I remember it being pretty simple to sign up for though. Try reaching out to your advisor, they should be able to help!
Hey Evelyn are you still going to make that video about double majoring? I was thinking about doing a double on computer science and physics but not sure if that would take longer or financially worth it.
Hi. I loved your vlog a lot. You need to put out more vids. The scene at 1:12 is my fav. You should most definitely collaborate with the hilarious TH-camrs Bad Friends. Their pranks are like Vitaly mixed with a blend of Faze Clan. They're a hilarious team of friends in SoCal. You should check their TH-cam out and give the crew a subscribe! 👉 #BadFriendBaddies

Amazing video, thanks so much! will likely double major in business and cs at berkeley too after watching this!
Hi Evelyn,
The key question is: how to know who are the "good energy teachers" in order to make the classes more interesting....
Great video. I needed something like this for political science lol hopefully I find something 🤞 the fact you graduated in 3 and a half years is super impressive :)
Hi Evelyn! I am a freshman at berkeley and your vid is one of the most helpful vids I have watched on youtube! :)))
Awesome video, keep up the great work!!! :)

What kinds of outside activities did you do to get into UC?
How to get internship
Your the best thanks for the help
This video is great for cs majors at UCB. Is that hard to get A from CS70??? 😮
Hi Evelyn,
Did you have to know about Linux and shell programming in any of the CS courses or just knowing MS Windows was enough?
I mostly used MacOS and occasionally Linux, our school never used Windows.
Hi, how did you start college classes in the summer after highschool? I tried to take summer classes but calcentral doesn't allow me to
Hmm..it's honestly been a while since I took those classes. I remember it being pretty simple to sign up for though. Try reaching out to your advisor, they should be able to help!

Yes! It'll be out in the next couple weeks, a bit behind in posting since life's been a bit crazy.
Hey thank you for your videos. Can you make a video on how you got a co-op or internship? ......if you did do one. Thank you
Yes, thanks for the video idea!
Good!!! It’s helpful
