    I've been following this method for about a month with excellent results so far. Thanks.

    It is perfectly safe for fish and shrimp, the salts you are putting is pretty much like us eating fruit and veg. These salts are what the plants use to grow and thrive.

    they work fantastic, you will find these salts in all the aquarium plant fertilizers. You can get them from the link in the video information if you live in the UK if you are in the US maybe someone can point you in the right direction

    sorry for the late reply, my mix is double the strength so i dont have to make it up so regular. my bottles are indeed only 500ml. The mix i state is the one i find perfect for my tank. There are some other calculators out there if you want to try some others. just search google for EI Calculator

    Hi mate great video - Greetings from Gibraltar. Please excuse my limited knowledge in Chemistry; it was my weakest subject of my Sciences and never my favourite when in school.
    I spend a small fortune on Seachem Plant fertz and very keen to explore this DYI method. If I were to dose with your Macro formula and the Chelated trace, should i also be dosing for Iron and Potassium? Will this cover all the fertz required in a heavily planted tank?
    At the moment i dose Seachem Iron, Potassium and Flourish.
    I also have injected Co2 and contemplating in fitting an automated dosing pump for the ferts to ensure consistency.
    Many Thanks
    Keith

    where can i get those (EI) thing?

  • @marko6394
    @marko6394 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why so much phosphate? That's like 30ppm per week. EI recommends more like 3 to 5 ppm per week. And no potassium sulfate?

    Thanks for the informative video. But can you stop saying 'ehhhh' after every sentence? It detracts a bit from the message... thanks!
