    This video was really helpful.
    I tried growing some land plants in this way and they slowly adapted to the moist condition, enough to survive underwater.
    This method also seems to help plants grow faster, especially succulents.
    Thanks for the video :)

    Watching this again since you inspired me a year before. You also helped me realize that taking care of RCS is easy and I now have hundreds of them. I plan to get another variety soon. Also, I finally purchased several aquatic plants a week ago and I planned on producing them. So far they are doing great.

    • @scrogathon
      @scrogathon 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great idea but the co2 in the air is in very high concentration. Unless he never opens the top for the whole month I would think it has an adequate amount. But it probably wouldn't hurt at all to add some co2 to the air. We use on average 30ppm inside the aquarium and the air we breath can have anywhere from 200 to 1000 or more ppm.

    What am I doing wrong? My Marsilea Hirsuta, Bucephalandra Red, and dwarf hairgrass stayed the same size emersed, small. I really wanted those to grow. The buce is a dwarf but it grew a bit when it was underwater. I wish my dwarf hairgrass spreads out but it remains as 3 blades of grass.
    My success is from the hydrocotyle tripartita which has taken over the plastic container. Also from the cuttings of the rotala indica and hygrophila polysperma which took on their terrestrial form but grew compact, though I expected them to.

    This might be a stupid question, but where did you get the plants to begin with? Did you first grow them from seed or take them from your pre-existing tank? Also I’ve heard that when plants are grown out of water it takes them a while to adapt to being underwater. Is there any truth to that? Thanks 😊
