Make sure that sd card is high endurance (Samsung or SanDisk). I buy it from Amazon, seller and shipper - Amazon. These cards are ok with constant rerecording, regular will not live long. Dash camera should use supercapacitors, not lithium battery, this way it will be able to withstand high heat. Mine is powered with a hardwire, I can have parking mode, and you can get front and back covered, some have front, cabin and rear covered. Look for reputable brand.
Nice set up, I don't have a car or license but I use my Gopro 7 as a body cam or on a tripod.
