- The Goddess of Seasons has lost her Kore once. Fearing of losing her daughter again, along with her Little Sprout, Demeter makes it clear that anyone who dares to harm her family will be met with eternal Winter.

Zagreus is the little sprout and Mel is a flower, it's beautiful, Demeter is quite a severe goddess in mythology, she rarely shows affection if outside of her realm of bountiful harvests, if not, torwards her daughter.
She’s often portrayed cold which I enjoy, but when she occasionally softens when speaking of Persephone and Zagreus, you can feel some snow melting from that warmth.

True, I think she's more glamorized here. We could surmise her grief was worse in the first game, but I take your point. Prefer Demeter with more wrinkles.
