    The 1911 in my opinion is the finest handgun of our time. Did anyone notice the vintage training films where it appeared they were shooting tracer rounds? plus those soldiers couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn from what I saw.

    Still have my 1979 Star BM 9mm Par. Only regeet is not buying the alloy product - the steel is uncomfortuble heavy but still my baby. Could also never understand why so many pistols looked the same....but when I learned about the 1911 the sun did rise. Remains a beautiful pistol regardsless of todays products.

    John Browning's masterpiece, the 1911 has become an American icon. Like Coke-Cola, muscle cars, and the hamburger. Everyone knows what John Wick can do with a Colt 1911 and 7 rounds of .45 APC.

    Since the Philippine American War officially ended in 1902, I don't see how the 1911 could have played any role in that conflict.
