Had my 2013, petrol 180 coupe for 3 years now. Hasn't missed a beat. Highly recommend it. Engine is fantastic, pulls like anything. Interior is really luxurious and quiet. Gear box is the best I've ever driven. :)
Hi all, I have a c220 Amg 2 door, Same mobile as Jj. I severed every 40 thousand miles, 2012 currently running well at 244560 miles. Happy days, great car

So I own a 2014 c250 coupe petrol. It’s only done 43,000. My husband bought it for me 8 months ago has the amg styling. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT 🥰 .. Owned GLA45 and a CLA45. This is such a breath of fresh air. So relaxing to drive. So smooth .. and no distraction of wanting to thrash it 😁😁😁. Great video ✌️✌️

I still prefer watching videos about old-gen veichles which is much more affordable for majority of the people than the new ones. But still nice to see u growing as a reviewer.And getting hands on beautiful cars. Would be nice to see Celica or 06-07 wrx sti.
Thank you. Believe it or not, I prefer doing the older more affordable cars, but it's often difficult to get hold of them! I rely on the generosity of various people in order to test them and newer cars are often easier to get hold of. But rest assured there will be plenty of older, 2000's generation cars to come! I think that final generation of Celica is possibly my most requested car, so fingers crossed I can get a drive in one 😁 I had a '02 'bugeye' WRX a few years back - great car.
I've had a c250 like this for a year now but if I were in the market for one and saw this video, I'd definitely be convinced. Great review!

How's the reliability?
The OM651 2.1 CDi has issues with chain rattle and weak waterpumps. Anything well maintained will last a long time. Don't forget this 2.1 is a "taxi" engine.

Front centre speaker grill under the windshield rattles a lot, other than that I love it. Shopping bags hooks in a massive boot are so nice, little details like that....
Enjoyed your review, there were other 4 cylinder petrol engines available to the c204 coupe not just the c180, there was the c200 and c250 both were 1.8l turbo units making 184bhp and 204bhp respectively although I don't think the 200 was ever marketed in the UK.
Mine is a 2014 c250 with 46000km from new. A colleague of mine had a clk 200 kompressor which he put 400000km on before the ecu packed in, he replaced it with a c204 coupe c220cdi from 2011 and has 200000km on it now.

I think it's all down to personal preference - they are both good cars. Both capable mile munchers, good looking, and handle reasonably well. The Audi is a little lighter and therefore feels a bit more 'sporty'. The Merc is high on the luxury look and feel level, though both are built to a similar high standard.
Personally, I'd have the C-Class, I like how Mercedes style both the interior and exterior of cars, and their general focus on luxury rather than sportiness.

Great review, after watching both this review and the e class review I love both of them and can't decide what one I prefer aha what do you prefer from driving both mate?
Personally I'd have the E-Class just simply because it's bigger, has the pillarless and frameless windows. The C-Class is a lovely car but for me not quite as special. But it's all a matter of personal taste I think as they both drive nicely

Wow amazing review. Being an 18 year old, i just sold my 2013 b class AMG line in feb 2022 and now looking to get one of these as i thought it’d suit my age a bit more, so great timing on the vid 😂. Petrol ones are so rare right now which is annoying living in the ulez zone. I’ve got a few questions which may seem pointless but have been bugging me and can’t seem to find the answers, would be great if u could. Do the front seats electrically move forward when you fold them to get in the back. Do the seatbelts come forward when you sit in the car so it’s easier to grab them. And lastly does the car have parktronic self parking? Cheers
Nice one, cheers! Yeah, they were made during the time of mega diesel popularity haha, so petrol ones are not so common. Which is a shame now that diesel is the devil again.
The seats move forward but not electronically, they just slide forward. Probably better than electronically as it's faster.
The seatbelts don't come forward - there's no 'butler'. But, you don't really need it as the seatbelt is mounted in a good place. Whereas because the E-Class is pillarless (as is my CLK) you need the butler to pass it as they have to mount the belt further back.
You might be able to spec it with self parking, but this model didn't have it. It did have 'parktronic' parking sensors front and rear.
@@JJonCars ohhh i see, yeah i thought it came standard on cars with the parking sensors speccd. They seem to have shot up in price in the last year as you used to be able to get them for around £7k now they’re around 12k! Mad how much it’s changed in just 12 months.

@@JJonCars hi what would you say as a reasonable price for 2015 1.6 c180 auto (premium plus ) spec with 38k on the clock. Found one on the market but don't want to pay anything silly and end up loosing a lot when the prices start to go south.

I want to purchase this car and I’m in not a big rush atm. Based on this video and how you have come across it. I am no expertise with the Benz. This will be my next car… c250 and amg a must… any input tips. Would be most welcome.
Just make sure you find one that's been looked after and they are pretty well built reliable cars. What car do you have now or before this?
My best car was the CLK Im thinking about either this or a TT because always fanced a mk2 TT, had a c-class w204 and that was a lovely car to drive but didnt like the gearbox as much as you said here.
Well, the CLK is a fabulous car of course :) TT will be sportier, probably more fun, but less of a mile munching grand tourer.

Yesterday bought 2011 c180 with 78k on meter so far loving it but as i do long drive my back started to have pain idk if the seats are designed that way or it's jus me
Does it have any adjustability, like lumbar support or anything?

What do you press to het the headlamps like you did at the start? I just got a c220 and i dont get how

@@silverlake973 ah yes okay, well if I remember rightly (and I might be mixing it up with another car) if you use the windscreen washers a few times, the headlight washers will activate every few goes :) on my older CLK there is a separate button but I think they tied them in with the windscreen washers on your car

Oil changes are a must otherwise the 2.1 begins to sound agricultural. Gearbox is lazy them paddles are pointless it changes gear when it wants. With the age of them now the chains are starting to rattle on cold start. Otherwise they are super cars for the money now, i have a c250 coup, bought cheap with 150k on to do motorway miles.
Im thinking to upgrade is there a big difference between this and the CLC if you know something tell me guys
This is a more modern car, more luxurious. I'd say it's an upgrade over the CLC, not that the CLC is a bad car :)

They turned off the Internet a few years ago even if you connect a phone. As someone else has said the gearbox is trash.
Gearbox seemed smooth to me - is it unreliable or something?
@@JJonCars they have a terrible reputation. Luck of the draw if you get a good one. Just look on merc forum, full of people sayijg how bad the gearboxes are. They even tried fixing it with an update to try and stop the "kick in the back" at low speed.
They are still brilliant cars, I still have mine. Just spoiled a bit with a poor gearbox.
Also annoying about the Internet, not that anyone would use it but they turned off all the apps except weather. 😂
@@DreamTripper Ah right, I see. I'll stick with the CLK then :) I wouldn't be using the internet on that little screen nowadays, not with a smartphone in my pocket. I don't think I've have even used it in 2014 when the car was new, lol

I honestly think that the successor of the CLK is the E coupe because of the pilarless design. This car in general (especially the interior) seems like a big downgrade in terms of luxury. Just look at that squary dashboard with those plastic buttons lol... How did you feel it in comparison to the CLK ?
You know, you are right. The E coupe is the official successor the the CLK, it's what Merc replaced the CLK with. And it has the pillarless design, seatbelt butler etc :)
Honestly, I very much like my CLK, but I did feel that the interior of the C class felt at least as high quality, if not slightly better. I don't think it is a downgrade, though I do know what you mean about the look of the buttons and dashboard - but when you get inside the car it feels a lot nicer/more luxurious than it looks from pictures or video. So it is a nice car, but it doesn't feel as 'special' as the CLK. I'd like to try an E Coupe.

The E Coupé ist actually based on the C Class Body
USD75K for the 1.6l W204 variant in Singapore, and only allowed to use for another 10 yrs only.. hahaha

I would disagree with the gear change on the automatic I owned a c220 Amg and the gear changes is crap

官能性なんてない。リニアに加速する。必要だからパワーがあるわけで楽しむためじゃない。
寝っ転がったいかにもクーペといったドライニング姿勢なのに見切れるし車両感覚が異常につかみ易い。ラク
冷静に淡々と走るのがこの車にはあってると思う。
