Thank you for this. Someone gave me this tool recently, and I was having difficulty figuring out how to deploy its features. One thing is clear - I'm going to have to stop biting off my fingernails because this device is useless without them. You almost have to carry around a small screwdriver just to open the tool's extensions. Also, no matter how I tried, I was unable to deploy the little hidden lanyard loop. Just as well, I guess, because I would never use it anyhow. Thanks again! Very good video!
I just wish the scissors were outside accessible.

As far as the eyeglass screw driver, i dont use it often but im sure as heck glad its on there when i need it. Usually for electronics with tiny screws
Skeletool in my pocket every day with the multi bit and the glass breaker bit. Wave and bit kit are in my Harley and another Wave+ and double bit kit in my truck console. Squirt PS4 on every keychain. I've given up carrying Spydercos and Benchmades... nothing wrong with them, I've got a lot of each... but honestly, utility trumps all and a Leatherman will always do what I need without worry. I started with a PSTii many years ago...mine is a 1997 model, still would do all I need today if it was called upon.
Also I've used the warranty. Squirt PS4 got sent back for something I expected them to fix...they sent me back a new one.

Just got my wave plus yesterday and i can say i really like it. Believe it or not the eyeglass screwdriver was one of the first tools i used to fix a coworkers glasses. The knife cuts well and im hoping it serves me well for any other jobs it can do on the future.

Great review! I have just recently purchased the Wave Plus. I own a few of the 8o's Leatherman versions and had a Surge. I like the Wave very much!! It does what I need including the small screwdriver for my glasses and camera equipment. Now with my Wave Plus in hand, I am evermore impressed that Jordan on season 7 of Alone dressed a moose with it!
I got the S30 version with G10 scales ( REI special) and I literally pocket carried it for 3 years straight.
I bought this for 3 reasons, eyeglass screwdriver, replaceable wire cutters, easy access knife. I went leatherman for usa made but the wave plus specifically for those reasons.
I’ve owned several waves and never knew about the slide out lanyard eyelet. That’s too cool! Thnx!

I've had my Wave for around 3 years. I also have a Surge, but that's only because I accidentally won an eBay auction. The Wave is simply the best multitool I have that's not a Victorinox. The only tool I'm not crazy about is the bit exchanger. Not that it isn't a great idea; it's that the Leatherman bits are too soft for any serious use. The scissors aren't as good as those from Victorinox, but neither are anybody else's.
Lost my last Wave while diving to fix something at work (two hours with a metal detector wand and couldn’t find it) and now just lost a Bond while working across a hundred acres of fields. Really hope the feel of the oxide isn’t as slick when your hands are wet, but otherwise I had one of these handy for over six years. The only difference from my old one seems to be the oxide and the replaceable plier jaw.

I bought a wave a months ago necausecibput my victorinox down when I use it and can't find it for a while so I wanted a back up. The both have useful feature that the other doesn't have.

The Leatherman Rebar is better than the Wave+. The Rebar is cheaper, lighter, and more robust. The scissors on the Wave+ are basically useless for anything but for thread snipping. Moreover, having to buy and carry bits for the Wave+ only adds to the cost and to the weight. The Wave+ and bit kit costs the same as two Rebars! I'd rather have two Rebars than one Wave+.
I own a rebar because it has the literal perfect assortment of tools in it. Only jealous of the 1 handed blade from the wave but yeah I sort of agree
Is it just mine or does anybody else have the pronlem that when pushing the knife in to its place it gets stuck??
