Ben cracking his head open at Big Idea and then producing the Sancho definitely brings to mind Doc Brown splitting his wig on a toilet then dreaming up the Flux Capacitor. The Sancho is a totally fitting name buuuut man the KNAFS Flux would have been rad!

I am so pumped about the Banter 2. As a lefty I’ve stopped buying any right handed locking knives. The crossbar lock AND the lefty clip (cross bar blades with no lefty clip option are so offensive) makes this a very lefty friendly knife. Thank you Ben 🙌🏼

Hey Ben! I also use my knafs ruler all the time! It sits on my desk always in reach. At blade show West when you were launching the Lander 1 (after the Kickstarter) you sold me your ruler out of your pocket because you had ran out of them! Thanks for doing that! That ruler has now helped design a couple pocket knives of my own. Eventually I'll get one into production!
I had asked about jimping/gimping for the lander 3 during the Kickstarter campaign but the answer wasnt as detailed. Too thin by the thumb stud is explanation enough for me. Thanks.

I will stick to my Big I dual side click with a parker style refill. Specifically a uniball Jetstream refill. I wanted an ink that would write smoothly like a pilot G-2 but would dry faster and not be as smeary. The issue I've always had with Bic pens is that the ink gets kinda gummy in my experience. But I understand wanting something very specific that you found works best for you.

Just got my Lander 3 all blacked out.... I love this knife. It is replacing my Benchmade Bugout mini and I am super happy about it! Next on my list is the Lander 4 when it drops in January ( I missed the Kickstarter). I will for sure be exploring options to pocket carry the Lander 4, but very excited for that one! Just wanna say it, where is the reverse tanto love, or even the regular tanto love these days?

(Washer guy) Jimping... I've got the tools to do it! I've also sat here pondering the idea as I too have a soft spot for jimping. Drawback - I don't have a second Lander in case things go south (always that chance with machining). I love mine too much to risk it not being in the pocket. I love the baby Bantar. Wish the fixed blade version was identical in size. Also, do you have more info on the Zippo? Never seen one with a button to keep the flame lit.
Big idea design pens are so awesome. I love mine. I was a refill buying fool after getting mine. You should making a folding lander 2 with a sheep foot blade!
I already have 3 Tactile Turn pens and 1 We Knife pen, so I have no need for another EDC pen but I ordered 2 Sancho pens because they just look so awesome ! And I cannot order the Banter 2 yet but ohhhhhh it looks so great !!
I believe I’m in paralysis by analysis with all these options Banter, Baby, Big, 2. Then there is Lander, 2, 3, 4… and all with multiple options in scales, do I buy or print my own, not to mention the blade/finish options. THE CHOICES!!!

Don't own the banter yet, but love my big banter and baby banter both in green micarta. Had to pre-order the blue aluminum banter because it spoke to me.( when I typed in the word green the spell check automatically pulled up the word micarta, that's how you know your a knife guy).😅
The only Banter I haven’t owned is the Big version…which is odd because I’m a fairly large man at 6’7” 280lbs. I’m ttuly hoping for a “Goldilocks Banter”…. The just right edc size of 7.25 OAL, linerlock without a finger choil. I always keep my fingers crossed! Anyways, keep up the great work!!
Man if you make it with a 40 thou tension bar and deep hook in 301 HY (maybe collab with covert instruments) instead it would be killer in the lock pick/edc community!
leather sheaths definitely add some bulk. even pretty slim slipjoint sheaths (leather with a pocket clip) feel a lot bulkier to carry than usual modern folding knives.
I like your designs, but for the forward choil. I have big hands/fat fingers. The forward choils on Spyderco knives work for me because they have a nubbin of separation separating your finger from the edge of the blade. Any blade without that is of issue for me. Is that nubbin of separation something that cannot be duplicated for legal reasons, or is it just a design not thought about?

The edc community lost the plot years ago when we got into frivolous materials(looking at you ultem) you aren't the only one who thinks that price is steep and if im brutally honest overpriced and once again proving big idea designs is just taking their customers for a ride and really only there for the people who want glorified pocket jewelry. Imo theres something wrong with charging 110$ for a made in china pen....

Banter 2 looks more convex in the handle scales too, like the wharcliffe ones. I'm more excited about this than I was the Big Banter.

The more I see the Sancho pen the more I "get it" it's pretty neat
