I will be discussing bags, flashlights, knives, multitools, pen, wallets, key organizers, pry tools, functional clothing, watches, electronics, and much more. Because I also love to modify these items, there will be videos on tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, scissor, wrenches, and power tools.
I try to read every comment so pls feel free to ask any questions below! Thanks for stopping in!

Thanks for sharing Dominic! I'm glad the parts were well received. Someone else mentioned the twist function of the pen driver. Once you line it up and seat it, twist it 90 degrees and it will lock in place. Yours seemed like it was pretty secure, but if it should loosen over time, that twist-lock will prevent it from falling out. Also, I included some scale tools for the Charge in the pack with the thumb studs. -KVP
Now if you could just do an awl for the bit holder. 🙂Loved your accessories.
@donaldstrader7241 post some stuff on your channel. I want to buy some of your baubles.
Any parts for the rebar?
Anybody who starts a scissor mod business for leatherman tools is basically printing money
Just placed an order for the ferro rod & tweezers for my Arc. Ur right, he's def shorting himself on pricing. I used to be a bit of a garage artist myself & I remember starting out, pricing was always hard to get right. When ur small time, it can take time to become confident in ur own product & learn to know ur own worth. He's def making a stellar product & could absolutely a fetch better price for it :)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have a Leatherman Signal, but the Ferris rod and sharpener are pointless for me. Tweezers and extra bit are of far greater use to me. I’m heading to the website right now. Again thank you.
Great video. Thanks for the link. I'm going to start buying from gin s sone.
I've been waiting for that ferro rod to come back in stock. Honestly, the micro bit adapter is genius. How did all of leatherman not come up with that? Got the tweezers too since I might as well while I'm there. Great add-ons, my only thing is I might have to replace my precision screwdriver now, considering I just made it redundant with that bit adapter.
Exactly what I am thinking, but what to put there.
They are back in stock now.
@@kristenvanpatten3854 Ordered earlier. 😁 great stuff you do.
@kristenvanpatten3854 Just received it! Your packaging, presentation, product, price, and quality are amazing. Thanks for the bonus item that begins with a W. That's how you get repeat customers.
Another reminder to check out the PC Poodle Volty Switch. Thanks for the video.
Small world, I just ordered some stuff from this guy a few days ago. And FYI, the website says the tweezers will fit under the saw on the Arc or P4, so you can have the ferro rod under the scissors and the tweezers under the saw. Really clever design.
You will not be disappointed. KVP's mods are fantastic. I've got a bunch and they're exactly what the doctor ordered.
Wow! Didn't know that!
The micro bit driver makes a lot of sense. I feel LM's holder is a waste of space for a limited use item.
I ordered the same scalpel add on…it has been delayed…some issues with the casting process… ordered it on 02-29th…he has kept me informed about this issue…..he is a perfectionist!…
I wish someone would make the bits out of super hardened steel.
After these addons I call my Arc Mercedes Arc 😂 I also installed studs on saw and file 😉
I have that pen set up. With a black leatherman extender, it looks pretty sexy. You can also put the extender into the pen tip for longer reach. I wouldn't use it for any serious rusted screws but honestly I wouldnt be using leatherman bits for that anyway. It is a nice way to use the bit extender if you don't really see yourself carrying it or have a spare around.
Some awesome additions there. Any good options for adding scissors to a skeletool?
I have always been a firm believer in modding tools and other things to fit your own needs, so I am really happy to see others take it seriously. I don't have a Leatherman anymore, I became disenfranchised by their prices and refusal to move away from the proprietary bits. But, seeing stuff like this become more and more prevalent is really good for the community that does still carry and I hope it bleeds into the spaces for the budget tools too. I love my OZT Multiforce, but it still isn't as good as I could be for me. I'd love to ditch the saw and the serrated blade, for instance, because I never use them.
Check out the surge clones, they will blow you away
Im thinking about getting a surge and this video cinches it for me because the one thing I want that the gen 2 surge doesnt have was the micro bit
Yes! He does very nice work! I bought one of his scalpel holders about six months ago for my Leatherman G10 Charge Plus. I swapped out the can opener for the scalpel holder. It works great. It makes my G10 Charge Plus so much more useful! 😎👍🏻
*I use the can opener all the time. It’s a great awl and pry tool.*
Amazing what one guy with a 3d printer and a great mind can come up with... That the big tool companies either can't, or won't do.
I saw tx tool crib talk about the micro driver holder. I think it is a fantastic idea. The "pen" didn't seem terribly useful to me. However having a glass breaker bit that is easily accessible and a micro bit with the adapter is compelling enough for me. Usually i end up using the extension itself (with a bit attached of course) as a screwdriver for things that just need to be snug, the "pen" does make some sense.
I have versions ll and lll of the Signal bit holders; they're the best. And a nice little detail is that you can store/keep the whistle and sharpener in the same case the holders came in(they even come with a blank bit to serve as spacer so that you do not crush the holder when without a real bit)! Love my four sets. I also have the eyeglass bit holders and all pieces are excellent in quality and fit.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have a Leatherman Signal, but the Ferris rod and sharpener are pointless for me. Tweezers are far greater used to me. I’m heading to the website right now. Again thank you.
Great find Dominic I'll definitely be picking up a couple of those attachments that go under the scissors
Love the video, but I don’t know what a ferro blah blah is, a pocket clip you say? How do you install it? Maybe show installed on the tool. Thumbstuds? What’s that?
How does the scribe work? Any good?
Like a scribe, about the same as any
That's a great question I'm curious also
The thumb studs for the Arc are nice to have but you can't use the saw without removing it or else it will get caught.
I've added a mini hammer + full size bit driver to my skeletool and it's genius (I got that one from aliexpress but I've got other add-ons through etsy)
Etsy is a great place for modding Leathermans
Awesome video. Do you by chance know is the scissor ferro rod will work with a surge? Thanks
Yeah, if LM would make these, starting point would be $75
Yea that's a very valid point.
I’m looking to swap the saw for the serrated blade, anyone have any advice?
definitely going to pick up the ferro rod and tweezers for my arc, it looks like the tweezers fit under the saw and file so ill be able to use both.
Can you use the cap of the pen as a mini screwdriver? (If you slide a bit into it)
I'm impressed. Stoked about the little add-ons for my Leatherman Arc coming in the mail! These upgrades will make my multitool excellent! I'll be going back to Kristen Van Patten for more add-ons later and I'll recommend them to others when I have the chance!
I will buy the ferro rod and tweezer for my arc.
Thanks dom!
Where do you buy these?
Glad to see you're enjoying your new found additions, now try adding a laser pointer to you Arc, which can also be a temperature gauge & distance/measurement finder. That would be awesome.! Magnets will be the future in multitools. Cheers.!
Wow! Great idea!
How long did it take to get in mail it’s been over two weeks from vanpatten
I have to admit that pen is very cool. Nicely thought out!
Just checked out his site definitely ordering some accessories for my Leatherman tools 👍🏼
How much did you pay for the ratchet bit?
Will these tools work with the supertool 300m ?
The microbit holder is such a good idea for the surge.
Dominic, when you're using KVP's pen style holder you need to also rotate the driver a 1/4 turn to lock it in place once it's fully seated in the pen.
Oh??? Cool!
Would be interesting to know how good the retention for bits is on the Signal add on.
I have some similar from Shapeways and I already lost a bit.
They are quite secure. For the sharpener replacement, the blade acts as an extra retention mechanism. In order to remove the bit, you first have to open the blade because it blocks the opening. I have never heard of anyone losing a bit with my Signal bit holders.
@@kristenvanpatten3854 Thanks for your reply! Do you ship to Germany?
@@tagwache88 yes I do.
This is wild, I got my Skeletool a year or so ago and I got the hammer attachment and thumbstud attachment before (I forget the guys name, I'm assuming we all got the same stuff from the gentleman in France) he ever offered them as a package, but they've been purchases I'm pretty happy with. The hammer is...well it's there, but in my eyes, looks are all it's for, they do break reeeeeaaaaally easily, (no, I never got to hammer with it), but the thumb stud attachment after being glued in place stayed very nicely and works like a charm. I hope his gear now is a little better quality, but if not, I it's hard to complain for the price. My thumb stud was loose to say the least, but I slid my thumb down the blade trying to open it without the stud so I didn't mind gluing it to keep it there and keep my thumb from looking like a buttcrack. Stay up bro, you make A+ content, love it love it love it!!!!
Really ingenious to find that space inder the tools to slot in some other small tools. Really clever!
I think HVAC Budget has talked some mods from this guy as well. Will definitely check it out!
Thanks for the video. I just got the mini driver bit for my Surge, & the tweezer, pen & pin setup for my Arc from KVP. Am impressed with his 3D capabilities.
I have the micro bit drive in my surge.
Hey Dom, do you think those scalpel holders would fin in a rebar? My blade grounded some hidden wires and is all kinds of useless now
100% yes
@@maxlvledc SWEET! THANKS 👍🙏🙌
Well done and very helpful. I’ve already got Kristen’s Skeletool hammer parts and thumb studs (and whistle)
I have on f the ferro and and just ordered two more. The tweezers are a good idea too. I just tried it a week ago and it works well. Since I carry Uncle Bill’s Sliver Grippers on my keychain I won’t need that but still cool. Speaking of tweezers, there are a couple of German makers who make laser engraved inch and millimeter tweezers for SAKs. Those should fit the Arc too.
There’s a new white LED version of the Arc Flashlight Backpack by PC Poodle as well. Waiting on it to ship.
Only if that ratcheting bit extender was for sale anywhere. And I'm not talking about site selling it for $200
I think people would be better off just buying something standalone to complement their multitool instead of this stuff. All these parts would cost a lot more, be more fiddly to use, easier to lose / mislay, take longer to set up and simply not be as good as a standalone tool.
I'm definitely getting the micro driver. It's always pissed me off that leatherman has always just taken that off the table with the surge. I've often wanted to figure out a way to modify one of the large alen bits to hold ot but lacked motivation. I'm happy to reward this genius for his problem solving skills. The extender pen is also pretty cool in that it adds a little more functionality to the extender for not much added real estate. In fact, it might make it easier to secure the extender in cases that dont secure it so well.
too bad the eyeglass bit holder isn't metal, i really need one for my Surge. But I want a metal one, like the the one that came with the Charge XTi.
Whats the name of the pen? Or company making? Or where I can purchase one? Please and thank you
What/how you get that finish on your Leatherman?
It's a sticker
Genius! Looks great my friend!
Always appreciate learning something new and interesting from Maxlvedc 👍
you should've hyped this video up a bit more, a clickbaiting thumbnail and some caps in the title would've helped, it deserves more views.
Funny enough, I'm glad I didn't. I think the maker is already overwhelmed with orders lol
aw bro i was so hoping that carbide scribe??? was a pen...
Could be!
@@maxlvledcwait what
I have a listing for a pen option in my shop.
Any suggestion to add a tweezer to Wingman?
Just received the ferro rod and some tweezers. 10/10!
Kristen makes a perrrfect mods for my wave plus
good vid, I like that hammer stump for the skeleton tool
Did he just say "grippy"??
You guys mind if I set up my Nero chair here? 😂
900th like!
Damn, and just like that I think my Victorinox Manager can retire lol I just needed a way to carry tweezers, any chance since I know you own one yourself, would the tweezer holder for the arc's scissors also work on the garage 005? I own both so might end up just ordering two.
100%
Great video! Do you know of any pocket clips that are more sturdy for the Charge TTI? The stock TTI pocket clip is terrible.
Not that I know of
Would be nice to see them on the tool.
All the little tools shown are all good gadgets for leatherman fans. However, I am always wonder why no one build a small screwdriver head (the female side) that can fit the bit extender to become a regular screwdriver and even fits the leatherman's bit to become a small screwdriver.
I think zap wizard did btw
That pen is very cool!
That was some awesome kit, thanks!!!
1 person waiting
Super cool
Can you do a video on add ons for the Leatherman Super tool 300 please
I was going to do a master list one that includes a LOT of addons.
Where did you get the camo handles?
In my arc video I linked them
Which direction does the line form?
Lols!!
Ferro rods are on back order now.
they are back in stock as of a couple days ago.
Where did you find the Wiha double ended bits?
Amazon
Honestly after buying and wearing the weatherman on my side for the last 3 months in only a stock configuration…. It is a joke.
It’s like wearing an anchor on your side.
I get it, you are getting paid to shill this crap.
But it’s not a feasible option for the everyday guy as a EDC.
I do??? I mean I get advertising money..but in this case I received no cut
@@maxlvledcfor what it’s worth, I watched the entire video and not once did I think this was a sponsored video. If it’s not genuine enthusiasm I’m seeing (and I’m quite sure it is) then you may have a bright future as an actor.
