I'm not sure quite what I did in a previous life to deserve the cars I've been reviewing recently.........
Here is the C4 Picasso, because naming your ugly car after a genius artist sounds like a great idea. I guess they were trying to say this car is misunderstood during it's life cycle? Maybe I'm just thinking about this too much.
Much like it's closest rival, the vauxhall zafira, it makes a great estate at this size but a substandard mpv. You'll find hundreds of these for sale up and down the country..... there's a good reason for this, they are cheap and anyone who can afford better has already bought something better.
Pros: They are not known for randomly setting themselves on fire, like rival MPVs, good visibility whilst driving, reasonable fuel economy.
Cons: odd switch placement, no luggage space, poor engine performance, uncomfortable seating

Car reviews are clearly not your area of expertise.
It takes practice to get good at anything. I recon I'm getting better every time I make a video. You might disagree......... but I can't keep everyone happy. ;-)

I've had quite a few Citroen cars,C3s,a Xzara Picasso,a C3 Picasso,and two C4 Picasso,the latest a used 2013 Airdream Platinum,a really nice car,with a really smooth drive,with all the extras.
They have all been reliable,roomy,even the early C3s,and they all have had the Egs automotive,with no problems
All thar reviewer did was sneer at his C4 Grand Picasso,which was highly rated on it's release,and went on to win.a "What Car" award.
A more balanced review would have been nice!

Unusual review! The sliding sun visor 'thing' is a useful feature for me as I am so tall it allows me to see the traffic lights changing colour whilst sat waiting for them to change in Spain where I live.
As weird as it seemed, it was quite a handy feature.
The presenter obviously don't like Citroen overall. I think the test is subjective. I have the same model for 2 years but with diesel engine. Sure it's not ferrari, the interior is a bit plastic but the ride is fine, suspension is soft, the car is quiet and very comfortable for long trips with low gas consumption and that i expectet from MPV.

@@j22n3s I don't do any sound measurement in my car, all i can say is for me the car is fine for money.
I had a 1.6 VTR+ (57 plate) one of most reliable cars ive owned, had it for around 8 years & did around 120k miles. As for luggage space with rear seats up, you will find if you compare the Grand Picasso to others makes of same class (7 seater MPV, like the S-Max)) the Picasso had the MOST luggage space of any 7 seater in its class when the rear seats were in use! The gear stick is in a natural position and feels very comfortable, the lights are like in ANY car etc...I think you should retire from reviewing cars as your not the brightest at it ^^
I'm glad you enjoyed your ownership. The Picasso can't hold up against the Sharan, Rodius (Turismo) or the GL (which I own now) in terms of luggage capacity with the seats up. I've got all of them at the house right now if you want exact measurements. I guess the gearstick is a personal preference. The Galaxy, Sharan, Viano all have a more natural position for gearstick as far I'm concerned but you don't have to agree. This is why we have choice. Just because I don't like it, that doesn't mean you can't own one. I'm not stopping you. 120k is not a particularly high mileage either. If that's the best you've got, I'm not impressed.
The Viano and GL Xenons are FAR superior to the headlights on the Picasso of this age despite being for sale during the same time period, if that is what you were referring to. As I mentioned in the video, you get what you pay for. If you didn't, why would people choose to pay more?
maybe you should have put your skills to better use when purchasing a picasso, sounds like they seen you coming a mile off & you bought a picasso that has been hammered & then you label them as "cheap & common as muck" for the record, i know owners who have had sharan's/galaxy etc, which have failed in less than 40k miles, does this mean they are a cheap & common as muck? nope, it simply means, they have been hammered. For the record, i wasn't trying to "impress" you with the mileage of my Picasso, i was pointing out that I've owned it & its done 120k miles with nothing more than the usual ware & tare. I agree, everyone is entitled to there own opinion, so if you post your thoughts of a subject on a media platform (such as youtube!) and people disagree, no point spitting you dummy out! On the flip side, the new Picasso (2014 onwards) is a very poor design compared to the previous, its as if Citroen decided to take a step backwards, interior design is very poor to say the least!
@@tizdaz5698 Well said, I have 14 year old Xsara Picasso with this ancient ( it started life in the Xantia ) engine. It still goes, everything still works. It is pretty weird inside and out and that is Citroen, you either get it or you don't. Beware of flying dummies.
Just what I needed, a sarcastic review of a C4! Pity it's not the 1.6 diesel semi-auto. Looking at an 08 one tomorrow.

How is the car after owning it if you dont mind me asking? I am also considering buying one the space and the economy is pretty good.
@@richardthered it feels bigger that it really is, although it is pretty wide in comparison to say a Zafira that I had before. Economy can be very good even with the 1.8 petrol that I have. Space is excellent, especially as you can adjust the rear/middle seats forward or backward to increase load space or give more legroom for those in the back flip seats.
Hopefully you enjoy your ownership regardless of what I think. We are not all the same and it's good we have customer choice.

Yes. They can suffer from that. The 1.6 HDi is the best engine really. This one has required ALOT of expense to keep on the road.
I don't know why everyone is hating so much. I thought this was hilarious. I enjoy your humour and you covered all the important stuff. Lighten up, people.
I quite like this car. It's different. Rather have his than the boring dreary German MPVs like Opel Zafira and Volkswagen Touran. Though if your buying one avoid the petrol and go for the diesel. The petrol has terrible reliability

I like your particular review. Evrybody expext positive conotation for this and that, however the itself life is mix of grey scale. Not everybody can make hating type review it is just not easy, lets try it....

Finally, someone spent time calling out impractical design. For every great idea Citroen has, there are two bizarre ones….so they end up investing money in the wrong areas instead of e.g. seats, materials, electrics and testing.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. I'm an amateur at this so editing like a boomer on crack is the best I can do for now. I'm sure I'd get better with more practice. Not really had time for that recently.
