@@zikashitv7825in Rise they used the Leviathan skeleton for Ludroth and Almudron, and even though Almudrob is a similar size to Lagi, he wasn't in Rise, meaning they don't necessarily bring back every monster with that frame. Yeah, they seemed way too calm alongside the natives of the forests (reminded me of the Boaboa and Gajalakas cousins), that would be a massive new venue to traverse the maps. The maps must be massive if Capcom introduced this concept.
The Kut-Ku flock being un huntable is my preference. It gives me a Jurrasic Park vibes where we just observe their day/ecology. It would also show that not every monster SHOULD be hunted, showing the balance the guild is protecting
I think they very cheekily also revealed Yian Garuga is back as well. If you pause at about 2:58 (in the trailer video), and look at the top centre of the vid, you can just about see something with greenish wings flying in the sky (you do have to zoom in to see it better). It's not a Kut-ku but it looks similar, I'm convinced it's Yian Garuga. It also has Garuga's wing design too, you can see it at 5:59 of this video that there's a creature in the sky and the end part of the wing (I don't know the term for it) is longer than Kut-Ku's. Which matches Yian Garuga.
I think we’ll have a quest line where we befriend the Kut Ku with the Wudwuds but they’ll also still be huntable in other quests. MHW’s Witcher quest had us aid a Pukei and it even fought alongside us, but Pukei was still huntable in there too. I think Wilds will just explore other ways we can interact with monsters other than hunting them too.
At 8:45 and earlier in the video as well at the top middle of the screen you can see something that looks like a yian kut ku, but it is not red and orange bu rather some dark shade between purple and black, yian garuga confirmed?
I have never seen so many people so excited to see the crazy chicken as I did this morning... Myself included. I think the safest bet for rare endemic life is that they will only appear during certain weather conditions. Like, the one in the plains durining the plenty, the one in the forest maybe during the downpour and so on.
14:22 I think that rather than having one village like most games we might have multiple like generations, and each village acts as the base camp for its respective area. It was a big thing that they thought the forbidden lands was uninhabited, but we are learning that is far from the case with not one but two societies so far. I think the Wudwud hideout might be the village for the crimson forest, and as we go on to the other area we might find a few more tribes. There will probably be one comprised of wyverians whose long lives and history keeping will allow them to have the answers to our questions about the forbidden lands and Arkveld.
@@mrstoutmire they are just from the same family of insectivore/small game creatures. And no, Yian Garuga is not a "crossbreed" between Kut Ku and Rathian. @@UmbraVolpes imo the talisman grind in rise wasn't nearly as brutal because it didn't feel as integral to build making compared to decorations. In world if you didn't have certain decorations you just might not even be able to play certain weapons, straight up. At least in rise you can make even a mediocre talisman work if you know how to build it right
Dont forget in sunbreak you could pretty much get the exact charm you needed. Also charms made much less of the overall build of your hunter. Decos grind felt worse than warframe grind personally (mostly due to trading) @Tech_D3mon
@Tech_D3mon homie, i need your dealers name. A rise talisman was the difference of a build being barely passable to being fully operational. But sure the rng on 1-3 skill points is more build breaking than rng of 2 full skills and 3 deco slots.
It's a interesting food for thought to have something like irl "protected species" but for monsters. Granted I think you can make argument that it happen in older games in which you revisit the same locale in a different game but the monster that was in that locale is no longer huntable.
Pukie-Pukie are known to be brood parasites (Think Nest Imposters) and I have a suspicion we might see one parasitize the Amstrygian nests as it would make a lot of sense.
Yay! Kut Ku in gen 6! Garuga was in iceborne, but no Kut Ku sadly, he was one of my first large monsters way back in 04. I cant wait to fight him in a more worlds like style
i could imagine the kut-ku nest might be like a sacred site of the wood wood tribe. on the other hand the activity here might grant us kut-ku mats but without having to hunt them.
I’ve got bad news.. I’ve just found out that my laptop will not be able to run MHWilds……. The will to move on is slowly vanishing, my heart is turning cold, the sense that makes me aware that time is passing is fading and.. and.. idk anymore
I think, there will be a rogue ones for the Yian Kut-Ku, probably Blue Yian Kut-Ku, a sub-species that the tribe can't even tamed it at all. I mean, hoping for the best here, cause Yian Kut-Ku were used to be my punching bag for testing the weapons damage 😂 Although, as for Yian Garuga, I highly believed that they will make a return too, cause Yian Kut-Ku is pretty much close-relatives to Yian Garuga. So, the possibilities is very high. And hopefully, we will get Deadeye Yian Garuga at that too haha 😅 But now I'm curious, will we get a Frontier-like monsters now? If so, that would be an epic journey in Monster Hunter Wilds!
If RNG Talismans are returning, I hope they aren't tied to a melder. Rise/Sunbreak was absolutely AWFUL when it came to this mechanic. Please just give me back RNG Decorations instead if that's the case.

I feel like the first kutku interaction would be fighting with the clan. Like we as hunter entering their territory in the woodlands an as they don’t know you they will fight you WITH the woodwoods
“Let’s get down to business…” To defeat, the YIANNN!!! That’s what I heard in my head when you said and it felt like a missed opportunity. That’s all I’m saying haha
I can't help but think that this mountainous ruined city area is the start to the 3rd zone. cause that really doesn't scream scarlet forest with that much going on.
Im betting the main camps will be like towns in diablo, where you'll run into other online hunters on the same server then once you leave the camp only your hunting party of 4 ( maybe more)would be able to see you, so i think up to 16 could potentially be in the same camp.
These look like alot of smaller kut ku with a larger one on the cliff. I'm thinking it's a kut ku nursery. This is my theory like in world (assuming this is also new world) we didn't get to use mantles early on. My guess is the wud wud not only give you a new palico gadget but also the ghillie mantle which allows you to sneak past the kut ku nursery deeper into the forest to fight uth dunna. Either that or into another more ruiny map as we can see in the distance.
Well to me, it’s looks like a yian kut ku nesting ground; and considering how birds get very protective of their nests, fighting a flock of these things is gonna be a pain in the ass.
I’m actually brimming with joy too see YIAN KUT KU return he’s actually the first monster I’ve ever hunted over a thousand of back in MHFU 😂 I just had so much fun testing my weapons on him lol 😅
Well i think that the Kut ku place is just cinematic place stuff or perhaps like a camp like place who have some Aptonoth around and that i assume Kut ku will be still wandering around line any monster but like Tobi will be a chill monster not attacking on sight

Rise’s preorder gave you a free talisman too, even though the talismans were back to RNG in that game. So I’m hoping this doesn’t mean they’re backtracking again.
Kut-Ku could be treated how 4U treated Plesioth. Instead of fighting it we can obtain its parts with the Palico fishing mini game. We could play some type of mini game with all of them playing whack a Konchu so they curl up for us so, we can shoot Konchu towards their mouths to feed the Kut-Ku. Despite its model and animations are in the game so it’s, weird why we can’t fight him lol Or it’s going to happen how you described it
If we don’t get to fight yian kut ku, i hope we can hunt a variant/subspecies, giving a reason to have the normal kut ku be docile verses the variant/subspecies
I always wonder what a game would be like if it's all new, even within the game? Like all the monsters are ??? Until after you fight them and the guild names them after you finish the hunt. Truly encapsulating the "discovery" aspect of this game series

I think the Wudwud hideout might be the village for the crimson forest, and as we go on to the other area we might find a few more tribes. There will probably be one comprised of wyverians whose long lives and history keeping will allow them to have the answers to our questions about the forbidden lands and Arkveld.
10:26 "Whack on our guilly"
"Back with a vengeance"
Did that line not mean anything
If there's a pack logic going on with the kut kus then maybe garuga could be the alpha?
Maybe?
Please?
Iirc Garuga preys on these guus. And they are a different species to boot.
@@NovaGirl8
Just thought it'd be cool since they're a cross breed from them
Doesn't make sense
@@mrstoutmire they are just from the same family of insectivore/small game creatures.
And no, Yian Garuga is not a "crossbreed" between Kut Ku and Rathian. Even if this was possible from genetics standpoint, you can't get the whole species out of single mutant.
This story is even more grotesque brainrot of the community, born from random commenter, than Deviljo, The Self Tail Eater.
@@mrstoutmire This is a largely baseless fan theory and not canon, it doesn't make sense logically or genetically, there is no canon evidence to support that they are the same general species and yian garuga are also incredibly agressive to kut ku.
While we are Avis unit in single player, I imagine in multiplayer we get to name our own units; the different units also thematically explains multiplayer as a whole, either calling in the existing NPC units or other friendly units available.
Saw someone talking about the circles in the logo are for each location and the apex monster. The two dragons in the middle are the flagship and final monster.
This seems VERY Reminiscent of the Stories Spin-offs... perhaps the tribe that once live there was a Rider Village
We’re getting all of these monsters before the game comes out. So just imagine how many more monsters they didn’t show yet
I'd love it if we could fight a Yian Kut Ku variants and regular Yian Kut Ku's but we're not allowed to kill & carve them - we instead HAVE to capture them for our lil buddies and they give us what would be the regular carving rewards.
17:33 please no, rng decorations were a terrible experience
I feel that but compared to the rng talisman grind on Rise...RNG Deco's i'm almost happy to deal with
@@UmbraVolpes imo the talisman grind in rise wasn't nearly as brutal because it didn't feel as integral to build making compared to decorations.
Decos grind felt worse than warframe grind personally (mostly due to trading)
@Tech_D3mon
@@UmbraVolpesagreed. I’d rather hunt monsters and get the RNG rewards at the end of the quest rather than constantly feeding a jar with monster parts
@Tech_D3mon homie, i need your dealers name. A rise talisman was the difference of a build being barely passable to being fully operational.
But sure the rng on 1-3 skill points is more build breaking than rng of 2 full skills and 3 deco slots.
Taking picture quest like what we had in previous MH games, where you get rewards for endemic life, pictures, in their natural habitat.
I think this situation is similar to the HUGE flock of Legiana in the Hoarfrost Reach, i.e. there are hundreds of monsters, but we only fight 1 or 2
Never fought Qurupeco as I joined MH between iceborne and rise, would love to see a monster with such a unique mechanic return!
The will to move on is slowly vanishing, my heart is turning cold, the sense that makes me aware that time is passing is fading and.. and.. idk anymore
Jeah no ideq the worle grapics were enough in my opinion
A friend posted an image of the kut ku and my first question was if their favorite snack and our bane of balled terror.
Is there another trailer today at Tokyo game show
I think, there will be a rogue ones for the Yian Kut-Ku, probably Blue Yian Kut-Ku, a sub-species that the tribe can't even tamed it at all. I mean, hoping for the best here, cause Yian Kut-Ku were used to be my punching bag for testing the weapons damage 😂
Although, as for Yian Garuga, I highly believed that they will make a return too, cause Yian Kut-Ku is pretty much close-relatives to Yian Garuga. So, the possibilities is very high. And hopefully, we will get Deadeye Yian Garuga at that too haha 😅
But now I'm curious, will we get a Frontier-like monsters now? If so, that would be an epic journey in Monster Hunter Wilds!
Yian garuga is actually a hybrid between Yian Kit Ku and a Rathian!
If RNG Talismans are returning, I hope they aren't tied to a melder. Rise/Sunbreak was absolutely AWFUL when it came to this mechanic. Please just give me back RNG Decorations instead if that's the case.
konchu basketball minigame to kutkus mouths here we come ! i can't believe i did not think about this being a non-hunt but just a cut scene thing, interested to see what they do ! great to see yian kutku regardless but i love the old kutu armor
I feel like the first kutku interaction would be fighting with the clan. Like we as hunter entering their territory in the woodlands an as they don’t know you they will fight you WITH the woodwoods
Man, I've missed Kut-Ku. Can't wait to square off the crazy chicken again.
As I started in MHW, the only experience I have with Yian Kut Ku is in MHS2, so I'm super excited to see it in 4kHD
“Let’s get down to business…”
To defeat, the YIANNN!!!
That’s what I heard in my head when you said and it felt like a missed opportunity. That’s all I’m saying haha
I can't help but think that this mountainous ruined city area is the start to the 3rd zone. cause that really doesn't scream scarlet forest with that much going on.
With all the different locales we've had throughout the series, i would love to see some sort of official Monster Hunter universe world map. 🌎
Im betting the main camps will be like towns in diablo, where you'll run into other online hunters on the same server then once you leave the camp only your hunting party of 4 ( maybe more)would be able to see you, so i think up to 16 could potentially be in the same camp.
Could imagine there being a few Yian Kut-ku that doesn't live among the Woodlands critters.
13:58- Ceratinoth has the C pronounced as a K. Like keratin.
Well to me, it’s looks like a yian kut ku nesting ground; and considering how birds get very protective of their nests, fighting a flock of these things is gonna be a pain in the ass.
the gunlance is quematrice it has the same coloring as the armor and themed after similar to the armors theme
I hope its like Stories, we might get friendly with monster and might even ride them! That would be awesome.
Im staring to tink that that ruined city may had been built in the skeleton of gigant snake-type monsters.
Tailraider Kut Ku, a temporary battle ally like the Kestidon and other small monsters from World would go hard
Reminds me of the Pukei Pukei that came to aid in the Witcher crossover if you saved it. If we get something like that, then Wilds will only become much more incredible!
@@Fenyxclips would love for something like to happen, favorite crossover quest in World
Maybe Arcveld could have a similar experience against the mysterious final boss of the game
@@diegocantu9853 If Arcveld gets that treatment, that'll be cool to see. Or even Arcveld aiding the final boss but then one of the Apex's coming to aid us in turn!
@@Fenyxclips Maybe it could be Kut Ku, or a new monster. I suppose the twist monster of Primordial Malzeno already happened but a monster and hunter fighting against a two monsters sounds epic
3:00 is that a paolomu flying at the typpiy top of the screen there?
It could be that they've adapted to also have an Alpha in the group and that's the one we can hunt
07:10 for me it had some Avatar: Planet Pandora vibs, when they first got on the flying beasts. Also I fully expect more lore on how a kutku becomes Garuga
We have Lore , it's when I Kut Ku breeds with a Rathian
Rise’s preorder gave you a free talisman too, even though the talismans were back to RNG in that game. So I’m hoping this doesn’t mean they’re backtracking again.
Kut-Ku could be treated how 4U treated Plesioth. Instead of fighting it we can obtain its parts with the Palico fishing mini game. We could play some type of mini game with all of them playing whack a Konchu so they curl up for us so, we can shoot Konchu towards their mouths to feed the Kut-Ku. Despite its model and animations are in the game so it’s, weird why we can’t fight him lol
Or it’s going to happen how you described it
If we don’t get to fight yian kut ku, i hope we can hunt a variant/subspecies, giving a reason to have the normal kut ku be docile verses the variant/subspecies
Yian garuga intro where the forest people scream we see everything ablaze and then garuga with a kut ku in its jaws
I hope we get wyverian as a layered armor. getting the sea folk wyverian core i always wanted through the story
Imagine Gemma's face if she ends up seeing this amount of Yian Kut Ku in a single area.
Omfg the Obi Wan sand people line is so perfect here hahaha amazing
I always wonder what a game would be like if it's all new, even within the game? Like all the monsters are ??? Until after you fight them and the guild names them after you finish the hunt. Truly encapsulating the "discovery" aspect of this game series
idk if yall covered this yet but we got a balahara hunting hornin in the trailer vs rei dow
That critter clapped me when i was a baby hunter.😮 those konchu too.
Konchu armor was my favorite pieces. Made you into a tank.
Maybe us killing a yian kut-ku is the cause for the our forest you respect scene
excited for its return‼️
