    one of the best reviews out there. thanks for being so honest - a lot of reviewers for some reason kind of hold back but you did it just right. i was actually leaning towards not getting it but the 2 points you raised about why its good swayed me. thanks!

    Good review and a good review of sentiment. Yes, you will always remember that you had to work to get that watch. It is a future collectors item. Keep all the paperwork and the box in mint condition.

    This is a great review! I feel like the MoonSwatch is best to be kept for display (at home) only 🙃 Keep up the good work!

    Anyone buying this watch is doing so because of being sucked in by the hype rather than true "horological interest". The watch is made with cheap materials and poor quality control. Consider instead a PD 1701 V3 at about 1/3 the price, a nice Seiko movement and good overall form and function.

    The stutter is quite nasty

      Thankfully, I don't use the chronograph feature that much.

    Thx for the review ! The hype of this watch got me into the watch collecting , but I the end I did not deem it worth it . Enjoy yours tho !

    Loved the video! I luckily got one at a swatch store located in a mall. I immediately swapped out my mission to pluto strap for a maroon nato! A blue or white nato might look nice on your mission to uranus

      Agreed, I think nato is the way to go. But I'll likely wait until the stock strap gives out.

    The chrono hands are adjustable. Pull the crown out to setting position (2nd click). Press the top pusher to adjust the large hand. press the bottom pusher to adjust the sub-dials. The procedure is the same for most chronos.

    • @AChannelAboutWatches
      @AChannelAboutWatches  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just tried this; the top pusher changes the minute subdial, while the bottom pusher does nothing.

      @@AChannelAboutWatches Sorry. My mistake. Pull the crown ONE click. (which would have been the date window setting, if it had one). Press the bottom pusher for the big hand. Push the top pusher for the right sub-dial. Pull out to second click (time setting), and push top pusher for left sub-dial. All 3 chrono hands are adjustable. The bottom seconds hand sub-dial is even hackable for exact time setting.

      @@kewrock Pulling the crown to the first position seems to do the trick, but I don't understand the purpose of adjusting the chrono hands. The misalignment of the hands seems to be random. If I start, stop, and then reset the chronograph, the seconds chronograph hand will sometimes align properly, and sometimes it doesn't. And the bottom seconds hand is hackable, yes, but aren't most (if not all) quartz watches hackable?

    • @kewrock
      @kewrock ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AChannelAboutWatches I guess they're adjustable for just this reason. The reset might seem random because you can have two elapsed times running. Stopping the chrono, then restarting it, the large hand will fast forward to the second time. Making it seem like it didn't reset all the way. Without having the watch in front of me, I can't say exactly how it works. There are a few videos explaining how to use it. Or maybe yours is defective. But I doubt it. Yes. come to think of it, all quartz are hackable. Most of my watches are mechanical. So it's a thing to consider.

    • @AChannelAboutWatches
      @AChannelAboutWatches  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kewrock I think there's a bit of miscommunication here. When I'm talking about misalignment of the hands, I'm talking about how the chronograph seconds hand is missing the markers by about 0.1 to 0.5mm. When I reset the chronograph seconds hand to the 12 o'clock position, the chronograph seconds hand will be misaligned by about 0.5mm to the right of the 12 o'clock marker, although sometimes it resets perfectly. This isn't a defect of the watch, it's simply a consequence of cheaper quartz movements.
