    Behaving like a five-year-old is an excellent description of the computer-built machines. One TH-cam channel that will certainly agree with your comment on returning to equipment from a different era is Andrew Camarata from upstate NY. He refuses to deal with them and goes out of his way to use only the older machines. It is frustrating to deal with any equipment so dependent on computerization. I have had vehicles that behaved like the five-year-olds. Thanks for sharing.

      Yeah Andrew has a great channel. Its fun to watch him fix that stuff up and do projects with it.

    I tell ya, brush hogs are a freakin life saver! Can you imagine doing this by hand or by sickle bar? Love it

    I have a CASE TR270. My problems with the electrical/computer system are different than yours but end up with similar results. Right now the machine is dead and will probably have to be loaded with a winch and transported to a far away Case dealer. Won't be cheap, I'm guessing.
    On a positive note my MTL XCT has been performing well. I think it's better than a dozer for this type of clearing work. The dozer is slow, expensive to operate and makes more of a mess.

      Sorry to hear about your machine, I agree, going in with a dozer or excavator and raking all that out is time consuming, damaging to the ground, and then you have all that disposal. Not efficient at all.

    Have you ever hit a barbed wire fence with your brush mower, what was the damage if yes. Curious how they handle it.

      Luckily no I've never hit one of those. I've hit bricks, concrete, carpet, garbage, tires, stumps.

    Commonly there is a safety interlock associated with that fault, the sensitivity may be too high or a poor connection. Check to see if you have a plug in the cab for a computer hookup. They sell inexpensive devices that read explain the fault.

      It ended up being the door sensor, I readjusted it and it fixed the problem. Thanks!

    Try checking the sensor on the lap bar kinda sounds like it thinks your lifting the lap bar

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought that too but if you trip the lap bar it engages the parking break which shuts down all the hydraulics so I'm not positive that's it. It hasn't become a super serious issue, if it doesn't get too bad I'll probably have the local dealer take a look at it when it goes in for it's next 500 hour service.

      @@idigit4967 o I'm sorry I miss understood in that case if it's just the arms check the door sensor over on the left side of the door as your sitting in the seat it's a magnetic sensor theres a little L bracket bolted to the door make sure it isnt flopping around I had that happen to me on our 329g at work you may have to either readjust it closer to the magnetic sensor or trace your wires back from that sensor might be lose that the only simple fix I can think of cause I know it will let you track around with the door open but it will lock out the hydraulics

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@windzer Yep, that was it! I noticed the door open indicator light flashing briefly and then the hydraulics would lock so figured it had to be the door sensor. I pushed the sensor and the L-bracket closer together and that seems to have done the trick! Thanks!

      I look at track loaders and the options available. I think I prefer a lift door instead of the swing out style. But don't have the seat time to make a decision.

    Think I would have used an excavator with a Fecon mulcher.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would have worked, though I wonder if it would have been slightly slower. Maybe?? The area wasn't too big for that to have worked though
