    Nice. You finally found a voice - and what an improvement it makes. Narration goes a long way: it explains the whys and wherefore of what you’re doing and it adds the personal touch to communication, like you had us there. You come across quite well, quite personable. Keep up the good work - it adds so much.

      Yeah it seems like they put alot of thought into making some really great improvements and upgrades. I'm pretty excited to try it out but I just picked up a new toy this weekend that's even better than this thing so stay tuned! Appreciated you watching, and congrats again on hitting 20k subs!

    I wouldn't have any trees that size left on my property if I had one of those. That's just to much fun. One thing I found out for the fine grass and lighter junk is to add a very sharp 2nd edge when you know you're going to be cutting it. Just on the tips of the orginal edge so you don't ruin it. With the blade being so thick, it doesn't hurt the life of them much to put a little edge on them at times.

      Thanks Chris! I actually talked to MTL yesterday about that and they did suggest taking one pass on that blade with the grinder to sharpen the edge a little so I think that's what I am going to do.

    Called French drains. That drain into your creek.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A French drain would be nice but the distance to the impound from that water is about 600 feet. At 1/4" per foot of fall (1" every 4 feet) the depth would be too great, we would have to trench like 12 feet into the ground and go through a food plot to do it.

    Nice new head & blades. Works pretty good. I'm curious how it is going to do with the vines & kudzu invasive species. Time will tell.

      No I didn't have the tools to do it, I took it to my mechanic Barry and his guys did it.

    Hey, I see you top the tree and then continued to use the blades to bring it down.. why not top it and then bring the carbides down on it?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I've seen and been told the carbides are mainly for helping to process material once its on the ground. Plus that close to the center there is no centrifugal power, most the power is at the outer edge of the rotation where the blades are so that's your best tool to cut down trees like this.
