    I bought a 383 stroker for a 94 Chevy 1500 in 2015. I haven’t had any problems with it, and it’s still running strong today.

    Installed a 383 stroker long block in my c10. It said it was 430hp but they lied... it made 442hp!! It’s a very strong engine. Would highly recommend this engine.

    Ordered a engine Jan 5th, was told 8-12 weeks. Just learned yesterday they discontinued the series of engine ordered. After months of research on builders to power my lifelong dream car I picked BP. Tons of positives reviews for outstanding customer service and communication. Well i was wrong, everytime I have talked to someone they have been extremely rude and condescending. Waited 15 weeks on a promised 12 week build only to learn they discontinued it. So now I have to find another builder and wait, missing most of this much needed cruise season. Beyond livid! So I will climb every mountain I can and scream buyer beware!

      Update- BP responded to my comment, thank you. I called Kelli and left message on Tuesday the 27th as of the 30th no response. On the 29th early AM left message with Steph as of today no response. I did order the engine through a distributor and they said they can not get an answer either. All i want to know if the engine is being built if not i need to find another builder. Cannot for the life of me see why this is so difficult. Please help!

    • @leemiller7263
      @leemiller7263 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Update #2-BP reached out to me and explained the situation. Its a core shortage problem which i understand completely. The distributor should have reached out to me long ago to avoid this mess. BP said engine will ship in three weeks.
      Thank you.

    • @leemiller7263
      @leemiller7263 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Update #3
      Was told engine will ship in three weeks on April 30th. Today is 4 weeks since. They moved the delivery date to June 16th. This is getting ridiculous, as a mfgr it would seem there would be some sort of responsibility to the end user for their product. I dont not think i am being unreasonable. Am i going wait another two weeks to be told another delay? 12 week build has turned into 22 weeks....maybe. Very disappointed with this company. What say you Blueprint?

      Update 4
      Received motor yesterday, very impressed with crating and information pack that came with it. Plus Dyno sheet states 409hp on advertised 375hp and 420tq on an advertised 390tq, beyond stoked. It's been a long road but thank you BP!

    Hello. I am in the process of buying a 383 long block with the serpentine set up, including AC compressor. My 67 Camaro does not have any AC components and parts set up yet. My question is. Can I still run the engine with the bracketed compressor or does it have to come off and bypassed some how.

    Question- I see that Blueprint makes their own blocks which is great. But the dipstick is on the passenger side. Is there a provision in 2023 for the buyer to swap that to the driver's side? I have a '66 Corvette with a 350 in it, who knows where the original engine went. But with my surge tank and aftermarket a/c on the passenger side, not to mention the battery, it's a very busy spot under the hood. It would be nice if I could swap the dipstick to the driver's side. I like building my own engine and that was part of my plan but the cost of the Blueprint offering is such that it makes sense to consider the crate engine instead, or maybe a long block.

    • @BluePrint_Engines

      All of our 350's are passenger side dipsticks. Sorry!

    Spark plug change from Champion to NKG. Why the change?

    • @Bikedueder
      @Bikedueder 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know it has been a year, but a year ago I couldn't find a single Champion dealer unless you bought one of those bulk packages on ebay. With as many counterfeit products as are on the market these days, I was nervous about buying them that way. NGK's are very good quality. I have them in all three of my vehicles ranging from 1970 to 1998.

    I would purchase a BP engine for my 1972 Chevelle but even though I’m an A.S.E. Master certified automotive technician of 30 years the warranty won’t cover the purchase if I install the engine myself.

    • @BluePrint_Engines
      @BluePrint_Engines  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kelly! Our warranty actually does cover self installs. For more info, check out our warranty policy here: blueprintengines.com/pages/warranty

    • @kellywilliams5086
      @kellywilliams5086 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BluePrint_Engines Let me rephrase that. It’s a very limited warranty vs paying someone to install the unit. My time is no less valuable than someone who gets paid to install it. If there’s a manufacturer defect that’s covered under warranty and it’s determined by BP ,I’m donating my time for someone else’s mistake. Other reputable crate engine manufacturers have no problem covering the labor ( reasonable of course) in the event an issue arises that’s covered under warranty. I’ve installed around 8 BP engines for other people and haven’t seen a problem out of a single one. That’s why I looked to you guys first. Doesn’t mean there never will be. You build/ manufacture enough of anything there will be a defect at some point, it’s just going to happen. Expecting me to cover the labor for something that’s a product of manufacture defect is the same thing as me expecting blueprint to cover the cost of something that’s the product of my own doing. It’s no different.

    • @BluePrint_Engines
      @BluePrint_Engines  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kellywilliams5086 Hi Kelly, our warranty does cover self-installed product. However, in the event of an issue, if you incur additional labor costs from elsewhere, those would not be reimbursed. BluePrint would supply replacement parts at no cost to you. In the event of catastrophic failure, we will assume the freight expense to return the product to us, do a full inspection, recondition the product, dyno test it for quality purposes, and return it to you at no additional cost. With that said, we work with each Customer individually and often go above and beyond the limited warranty, to ensure Customer satisfaction. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our Customer Support team at 308.236.1050. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
