I think it's because of GTA online. They scrapped development of GTA5 dlc single player expansions similar to the GTA 4 expansions in favor of doing GTA online stuff. RE2R online didn't do as well so no more support was given, and that's probably why they also are getting rid of online with this newest RDR1 port. And they'll continue to make money hand over fist so why bother changing? Then again I don't play GTA.......I do play Pokemon and Yugioh though.
Doesn't really matter to them. They're making boat loads of money from shark cards. All they have to do is release a game every 15 years that has an online they can monetize microtransactions on and everyone will forgive them, buy it, and the people destroying the gaming industry will keep forking out money for microtransactions.
Can confirm from working at Taco Bell. The false advertisement is real. They use set scoops for everything and often don't look like the pictures. 6 bucks for false advertisement is real messed up. As in crunchwraps being super expensive and often being near empty or lopsided af.
just like any other fast food place. I used to work at dairy queen, in the pics it looks like blizzards are full of topping in every bite, but you only end up getting 4 chunks because you can only use one scoop per topping
Weirdly enough, in Europe Mike's petrol pumping technique would work fine. Here you just drive up, select the specific nozzle you want, then fire away and pay afterwards in the shop.
Ok so I’m not an idiot then. I was so confused when he was making fun of him becuase here in Australia we also fill up our cars first then pay for it at the servo counter.
Companies have always been all about money, the only people with passion are the ones actually developing the games, the ones at the top only care about profit, and that has never changed.
False advertising law needs to be taken more seriously, the companies rarely get repercussions for it: it's usually a warning like" oh don't do that again" when they do it again but in a different way lol
In this case I think it’s the franchise owner not Taco Bell, I’m sure that’s how it will spin. Especially since it’s not all Taco Bell’s that don’t serve up to the advertisement standards. Here in my area of Texas, the items listed (Crunchwrap & Mexican pizza) are loaded as advertised.
It's also because most crimes like that are punished with a fine. In the case of a normal person, a fine in the hundreds of thousands or millions range could, and probably would, bankrupt them, but when it comes to big businesses these fines are just the price of doing business. They're basically just the tax these corporations pay in order to do things that are illegal. The price isn't adjusted to their obscene levels of wealth, and nobody goes to jail, so the bad behavior doesn't get stopped.
I’ve seen other people say what I’m about to say, but I think the main reason these lawsuits are happening is cause how overpriced fast food is now, almost everything is double what it used to be, quality should match price
As someone who works at taco bell it's insane how much they tell us we are over portioning when it's already not enough. Seriously we can get written up or even fired by putting a decent amount of meat on your taco. On top of that the prices keep going up especially at my location which is a franchise and the prices are already expensive here .

Mike Pence is one of those people that nobody on either side of the aisle likes. It's actually impressive how he's managed to alienate everyone of every political persuasion.
To be fair, I can count the number of politicians that anybody actually likes on one hand. It’s not like libs actually like Nancy Pelosi or conservatives actually like Mitch McConnell
It's not hard to see why, really. People on the Left never liked him, because he's a staunch evangelical who would definitely make the US a theocracy if he could. He's hardly unique among right-wing politicians in that regard. And then the Right turned against him because he made their Senpai mad.

As a former gas station employee and someone that has spent hours watching people pump gas, it's more common than you might think to not know anything about pumping gas.
If I would come to the US and there would be stuff to do before I can pump gas, I would also be a little confused at first. In a lot of places, you do exactly what Mike Pence has done. You press trigger on the handle and then fuel comes out. But Pence is american and should definitely know better so yeah, goofy... What does Charlie mean with "you select which gas you want". Don't you already do that by taking the nozzle that is for your fuel? Do fuel types get mixed in the US within the fuel hose? wtf
So true. I work at a car wash and the amount of old ladies that ask us to pump their gas cuz they don’t know how. Like they are physically able cuz they come up to the window to ask. And then the people that get mad because they either aren’t swiping their card right or put the pump in beforehand and come in the store “why aren’t your pumps working!” It does make me feel a little bit better about my intelligence at least
@@Paul-zk2tnits not as hard as you think, a monkey could figure it out. As soon as you pull the pump out, your fuel choices will usually light up which is enough to lyk about choosing one. But we also have the pumps that are sorted out for each fuel type, theyre just not as common
@@Tschacki_QuackiIn the us we have 3 types 87 89 91 or 93 it’s all octane grades. We have 3 to chose from because some cars take different octane grades for the engine, so some may want to get higher which is also expensive 91 or 93. Also if you go lower the cheaper route 87 (tend to be the one everyone uses). Where we also have diesel fueling too which is usually the last one or has a different spot for semi trucks to fill or we have them on the same pump on a different hose. The gas pump one is an amusing look into how it works in the US, woulda been fine in another country as that is how it works. Was interesting learning how US pumps work. It's all self serve here and you don't have to put a card in or select what fuel, US be wild.
In regards to the Taco Bell story, having the item aesthetically look worse but still have the same portions is one thing. But, undercutting portions entirely is another. I think the lawsuit has some grounds here. How many times have we received a basic taco from TB and it have a few crumbles of meat rather than the amount shown in the product images? Way too often
I work at Taco Bell off and on, everything is done by weight, they know exactly how much is supposed to go in a food item. Cheese is not allowed to be more than .25 ounces, same with lettuce. beef must be 1 ounce and no more. During routine quality checks you have to practice for two weeks your portions so that you are not serving too much/too little food. If I remember I’ll get the info for the listed items in the video but a normal soft taco has to weight minimum 1.5 ounces, 1 ounce of beef, .25 lettuce and cheese. The scoops are specifically designed and are color coded based on the weight as well. The purpleish/blue scoop that they all use is an ounce, and also right handed. the beans same deal. For Taco Bell not to supply that info is pretty gay considering it’s a direct part of your entry level job there.
The only time the Crunchwrap has been close to the image advertised was when they had the "Triple Double" Crunchwrap, they FULLY loaded that thing it was great.
As an Australian the whole mike pence thing went straight over my head, i have never seen a pump that requires your card to be inserted and our pumps have 2-4 nozzles to choose from for the different fuels

One thing me and my friends have noticed with Taco Bell, is that even if we get the same order, the amount of fillings are WILDLY inconsistent depending on the day and employee making it. Sometimes we’ll get a burrito that rivals the ones at Chipotle, sometimes it’s barely any bigger than a taquito with the bare minimum of “that’s what you ordered” amount of filling
I've experienced the same thing at Popeye's. Some days it's god-tier chicken, and other days it's like someone dropped it on the floor and stuck it on a warming rack.
The first and last time I ordered McDonald's to my house my drinks spilt over in the delivery bag and left my fries wet, I had no juice or fries and couldn't get a refund
@@Daniel092004 yeah i eat popeyes maybe three times a month and every so often they use chicken strips on their sandwiches instead of the normal chicken and it just tastes weird and ruins my whole day.
I work at McDonald's and yeah it depends on who's making the food. Got some people who are super skilled, some people who are a little new and just learning, and some people who just don't care at all (one coworker I had straight up CHUCKED those sandwiches down at the runners who bag the food and like half of the times the sandwiches would fucking explode on impact and had to be remade. That only happened one day though and since then she's seemed to calm down)
@@Iluvpie6a lot of them have license plate recognition cameras to prevent people from just driving away, and if they do then it’s pretty easy for the cops to track them down
I think the big difference with the food advertisements between taco bell and McDonalds or Wendys is that when you see an Ad for a whopper or a baconator you see a burger with X amount of patties, and toppings, which is usually what you get even if it doesn't look as good. With a crunchwrap you see something that looks burrito level thickness but when you get it, its barely 1 inch thick.
What makes the $50 price tag even worse is that you can buy the game right now for the Xbox for less than that (Digital or physical) and get actually a better gaming experience, as the ports won't even have the multiplayer aspect.
@@maxbracegirdle9990 It's said that Undead Nightmare's bundled in for these ports. But again, even at the jacked-up, non-"sale" prices on the Xbox marketplace, you can get everything for $40 total.
I was super confused 😂 I assumed the game would be like $15-$20 at most, considering it came out more than a decade ago. Never imagined it would be $50. For a port....
I was actually hyped when I heard Red Dead was coming to the Switch. Back in the day I had to play it on my friends XBox when he’d come to spend the night, so I only got about a few hours of gameplay each time. So when I heard that they were charging $50, $20 more than its original price, I was so disappointed.
Nintendo is notorious for porting games onto their systems, so I wouldn't be surprised if the cost to port is absurdly high. Then there's just inflation. Yes. EVERYTHING is too expensive these days. I've long ago given up and accepted it.
in oregon, my whole life we’ve had people pump gas for us in most of the state BUT everyone still knows how to do it, especially because we’re surrounded by states where you pump your own
I live in Oregon now so we don't pump our own gas but I grew up in Texas and that beep also means the handle needs to be flipped up to turn on the pump aswell.
The funny thing about the gas-pump thing is that what he did would actually of been fine in Australia. You just park at the pump that has the fuel you want, fill it up, then go and pay in the store for how much you pumped.
here in canada you can pump your gas before paying, the only thing you do is select reg prem ect. If you want to pay at the pump you put the card in before taking the nozzle because if you take the nozzle right out it'll just assume you're paying inside the store
I am sure the gas pump thing could be explained by it being a recording. Without knowing how many takes they were going to have; they probably didn't want to keep paying for gas until they got it right. Maybe he already filled up his truck from take 1, and though they could get away with pretending for the rest.
Fun fact: In Europe we pump the gas then pay so many wouldn't find that ad to weird. Mostly in the UK and Ireland where most gas stations don't even have the option to choose an octane level
You have to remember that Usa is a fail country and a dumpster fire. With that in mind, it makes sense why they do what they do Why don’t they have universal healthcare? Why do kids get blasted just sitting in class? Why do most of them have 11 toes? Why are they all so fat? It answers all these questions
I worked at a gas station and the most entitled people were those from states that didn't require you to pump your own gas. Though some just refused to pump their gas, some genuinely didn't know how.
I remember when I received my first free shipping sized parcel of cocaine, it was all over for me then - those sharks are in for long journey 🤣 great coverage man enjoyed the video!
The thing about food in advertising is it's often not even edible, as they're often dressed up for photoshoots/commercials. We're talking glue added in to pizza cheese to make it look more melty and whatnot. An instructor I had back in college with experience in the industry mentioned you'd pretty much not want to eat anything in adverts.
I worked at KFC a couple years right outta high school. When they make KFC ads they have a special guy come in to cook the chicken for it, just to make it look good. He warned me not to accidentally eat any, cos it ain't cooked properly and it will poison you.
The Taco Bell thing is 100% believable. I ordered a crunch wrap one day because the ad made it look scrumptious, got it, and it looked like someone sat on it.
theres like an entire marketing department behind making food look more plump etc, they use glue, will even cut the burger and turn it to the camera for the commercial. this isnt really new idk theres a disclaimer in ads that it says something like "food will differ from the picture" or something like that.
I've always wondered when Taco Bell would get a false advertisement lawsuit. I thought my local Taco Bell just shorted us everytime until I went to another on the other side of the country. Their crunchwraps were basically all lettuce, wayyyy to much cheese and like a teaspoon of meat.
I got one on Monday and added potatoes because why not. Got it and there were no veggies at all, just meat, potatoes and a bit of the nacho cheese. Safe to say, never going back to that specific bell.
They get away with legal BS and have for a long time. Here is why: They can claim it represents the correct amount of product but that it is just shown at the front where someone viewing it would see it. Because how else if the viewer to know. I know its a weak argument but its worked for decades. The best example is McDonalds and how they always show 3 pickle slices on the picture hanging out the front. When it looks like if that continued around rest of burger it would be loaded with pickles. But everyone know you only get exactly 3 pickle slices every time. No more no less. And they usually stacked on top of eachother in the center where you never see it. So if McDonalds can get away with that since forever than Taco Bell can also shove all the meat to the front for the pic and claim its legit.
another thing about taco bell, they took Taco John's (a smaller fast food chain) to court and basically bullied them to surrender their trademark on "Taco Tuesday" when they could've easily just stroke an agreement to use the phrase
Actually when Oregon(one of two states that you couldn't pump your own gas in) said it was no longer mandatory for gas stations to have an attendant, people were losing their minds because they didn't know how to pump their own gas and thought it was too dangerous.
Honestly, I feel like the food industry has gone too far with display photos for food. The food pictured doesn't have to be a 100% identical meal, but when there's zero chance your meal is gonna look like the photo, that's false advertising.
I had to pause the video to ask this question - you mean you choose which type of fuel you'll have digitally? That's so fascinating (I'm not from the US and stuff). Where I live, you pick which pump number you are, and usually each station has three hoses, and you can use any one of them as long as they're connected to your number of pump. Which makes it so easy to put the wrong fuel - they're color coded so that's good, but I always get that stress spike of "which one is it I want again" OTL
Yes, we often have 2 separate pumps, one for normal fuel and one for diesel, but we have different options of what "grade" of regular fuel we want. Push the button on the machine to select your fuel grade and the pump takes care of the rest.
To clarify with regards to the gas pumping thing; a few states, such as New Jersey, it's illegal to pump your own gas. The stations all have attendants and you are required to let them do so. As someone who lived my whole life in NJ I had no clue how to pump my own gas and actually had to look up how to do it before leaving the state. On top of that, of the two gas stations I've used outside the state one of them required you to pay inside as opposed to at the pump, you still needed to pay first. In regards to him not pumping the gas properly, as others have stated, it was probably a case of they did multiple takes and didn't want to pay for multiple times at the pump especially not knowing exactly how long each take was going to be. In the end he still looks like a total goof though because of it, they could have easily had the station kill the pump for the amount of time he was filming so that it wouldn't sound ridiculous. They also could have recorded the video and then dubbed it over later to cut out some of the wind and car noises as well as the pump's beeping.
Yea? They should hire an editor and go into a voice recording studio for an ad recorded on a phone? Mike pence isnt a film student, hed have to ask people for money so that twitter libs dont make epic owns Glad you noticed charlies reaction was goofy asl tho

I don’t even have a problem w the ad. It would have been weird for him to insert card, and selected fuel type, then started talking. The way he did it in the ad just was easier to understand what he was doing and portrayed him point much more cleanly then if he had gone through the whole process

Yeah it's a bit ridiculous that people are blowing this out of the water, he definitely knows no gas is coming out, he is just doing the actions for the sake of the commercial. I've seen similar scenarios lots of times before. I guess he could've prevented this by just doing a voice over with some upbeat corporate music in the background but it's not that big a deal.
Here in Germany, Mikes gas station session would have worked because at most gas stations you can just start filling up your car and then pay afterwards
Canada too or at least Quebec too, I suppose I can't talk for every province. But I remember that some gas stations tried to implement the American system like 10 years ago but it never caught on and they had to change back the pumps because people would rather just go to another gas station than absolutely have to pay with credit.
Jersey has laws against pumping your own gas. Seeing people come over the bridge to Philly and staring at a pump like it's some advanced chem station is fn golden.
In Australia, most people are super familiar with just rolling up and choosing from the 3 or 4 pumps and slotting that bad boy in the car then paying for it inside, I totally didn't even realize he was doing anything wrong lol
its america 10 years ago everyone was just stealing the gas cuz you could select the "pay inside" option after you already pumped the gas and just not go inside and leave.
I'm glad you explained the petrol pump situation as I'm from the UK and had no idea what he was doing wrong. We don't have many of the pay first then pump pumps if that makes sense, and I stay clear of that voodoo if I come across one which is very rare.
The irony is we still have politicians who also struggle to at petrol stations. Filling up other peoples cars to make it seem like they drove something more common and then not understanding how to use a card reader. Politicians are cringe everywhere, I still remember the embarrassing video of one not knowing how to order food at Greggs.
oh wow, sounds very law abiding there. a huge percent of people in North America would just drive away without paying. in Manitoba at the liquor stores they now trap customers inside double-door check-point rooms so an employee can scan each customer's ID, because of "theft" apparently. it's pretty freaking dystopian. you'd think they could've mimicked the clothing industry and just put a security tag on products. or mimicked our beer stores / cafeterias where you walk in one end, then along a counter where an employee passes you only what you want, and then you pay at the other end before leaving. but no, they took the most dehumanizing design choice possible
@bruce-le-smith don't get me wrong people still drive off without paying now and again but there's loads of security cameras watching you at the petrol stations and even if you do try your luck 9 times out of 10 the police are just around the corner, because before you can start pumping fuel the attendant has to start the pump (this is all done by them seeing you outside and just pressing a button) and they can usually tell who's going to pay and who isn't just by looking at you sometimes. Or better yet if the plate is registered to your address they will just come and knock on your door...or knock it down.
@Elliesaquatics il have to give one a go to get rid of the nerves haha, I've heard the same thing, I wana put a 20 quid in mate not show you my savings acount.
These companies never seem to factor 'goodwill' into their calculations. It’s valuable and important and once you’ve lost it it's very hard to get back.
They don't care. They think they have the drug that everyone is hooked on and can do what they want. With the sport games, they appear to be right. They get worse and worse each year, yet the companies are making more and more money. There are large portions of "gamers" that seem to only play one series of games and will buy every one. CoD, GTA, sport games, etc.
I just found out how US gas pumps work. Where I live in the EU you just grab the nozzle of the gas you want to pump and you start pumping it (the machine detects automatically what nozzle you used). When you're done pumping you go inside the gas station to pay for it (people don't run away without paying because that's only gonna lead to police knocking on their door). Most gas stations don't have a card reader on the pump itself.
the gas pump thing could’ve also been he just didn’t select what type of gas he wanted, i’ve paid at the pump and it beeps waiting for you to make the selection
8:19 was a truly magical moment. Thank you for your words of wisdom, Charlie. This single moment saved my motivation to draw the band members of Tupper ware remix party, and I couldn’t have done it without you.
6:11 to 6:28: In Australia petrol pumps actually work exactly like that (kinda): You rock up, there's 4 different pumps for each type of fuel and you just pick which one you want and start pumping. You don't pay at the pump but at the register inside the station, they have number plate recognition so they can still see if you don't pay
In rural Scotland we pay for petrol at the counter so when I was in the big smoke I spent 5 minutes tryna figure out why the pump wasn't giving me fuel. That's just because it was different to every pump I'd seen before and putting your card in the machine is just not normal at home

I was confused what was wrong with the gas pump at first because in Australia you literally do just grab the nozzle and put it in the car. there's separate nozzles for different types of petrol/diesel and you just grab it, put it in and pull the trigger one thing i only learned recently from a friend working at a servo is that the staff will press a button on their end to allow the fuel to start flowing. afterwards you go into the store part to pay for your fuel and you tell them what number pump you're at some servos have an app you can use to pay so you don't have to walk over after - especially handy if you ride a motorcycle so you dont have to take the helmet off
In Oz you don’t have to swip or pay first for fuel/gas/Petrol. Also we have individual nozzles for the different fuel types. Once you fill your car you go into the store tell them which pump number then pay.
In almost all cases fast food looks nothing like ads. There's literally a profession called "food stylist" the food is typically under cooked and has hidden pins, glue, and other non edible ingredients to make it look better.
I think there are still a multitude of places in the US, especially rurally, that allow the pumping of gas on the honor system of paying after you pump. Gas thieves aren't exactly common in these areas because if they steal, they'll not only be immediately apprehended, but also be cutting themselves off from one of the few gas stations in their locale.
Yeah I was so confused, I'm from the UK and it's unheard of here, you just pump your petrol like normal lol. Really speaks to the state of America if this is necessary
@@Osama-Bon-Jovi-01 how does this speak negatively about america? There are some rural areas with wholesome communities that are able to live by an honor system due to mutual respect and trust, with very little crime and very closeknit families. This is incredibly common with farmers stands in america as well as many asian rural areas like secluded spots in japan. Farmers will leave their produce in a shack with prices or even just a donation box, and people pay by the honor system. Name one thing that's wrong with that, I'm genuinely confused how you concluded it was a bad thing.
@calebtheholyman545 In most European countries, most petrol stations are paid after, so the fact that in America it's only in rural areas says something negative about urban areas.
The pence ad one didn't make sense to me because in Australia that's just how you do it. Roll up to the pump, grab the nozzle you want (because the different kinds of fuel have their own hose which simply makes sense) and then fill. Obviously he wasn't going to actually fill it because he's filming a speech and you don't want to be interrupted by it cutting off at the wrong time
I like the format where you do multiple stories in one video versus one long video per story. Feels like less repeating and more content, and that the video is constantly moving
He would probably end up having to take a different approach to videos then, if he has to make compilations like such. That would lead him to like 3-4 videos a week instead of his constant every day since he’d have to consume multiple different medias/events, and that takes enegy
For the 'gas' part, in Australia you can just roll up to the pump, scoot in sideways, get out, grab the nozzle and put it in. You pay in the servo and then you're on your way.
The mike pence thing is really funny because I've literally done that before. where I live you go up to the pump, select your gas type, pump, then pay. and it never really registered to me that that is not the norm.
I live on a lil island where u roll up to the gas station, put the nozzle in, flip something up, put how ever much gas you want in and then pay at the end by going inside. I just realized we dont select what kind of gas either lol
Also, gas is always like 2 dollars more than the mainland prices. But you don’t use much gas going around a four mile island. Great for low mileage but could also cause your car more issues since we’re always turning and stopping way more than the norm. We need to bring back horse back riding

Why couldn't they release RD2 on the PS5 with 60fps? That's what I really want.
I was gonna mention it when Charlie said it, at least they're not "remastering" it like they did with the GTA trilogy.
Fuck Rockstar and everything they stand for
It’s amazing how long Rockstar has skated despite consistently making some of the most customer-hating business decisions of the last ten years.
To be fair it's all take two, rockstar probably gets next to no say on it
Careful, you might encourage EA and Ubisoft to up their game
I blame all the 13 year old GTA players who just don't know any better

That first part gives me of Blizzcon 2018 vibes, when blizzard announced diablo immortal on mobile, companies these days, all money & no passion.

What is it, a cross-over episode? I love your builds, man.
Executives kill everything.
Never seen false advertising hurt a corporation before. I've seen seen it tear apart small business though.
@@ice_exia9789how much did Taco Bell pay you to say this? I’ve never bought a fast food menu item that actually looked like the advertisement.

At that point you're legitimately better off buying something else where you get your money's worth
As someone who lives in arizona, I have never had the misfortune of eating taco bell. My condolences to anyone who has
I work at Taco Bell off and on, everything is done by weight, they know exactly how much is supposed to go in a food item.

I've experienced the same thing at Popeye's. Some days it's god-tier chicken, and other days it's like someone dropped it on the floor and stuck it on a warming rack.

He warned me not to accidentally eat any, cos it ain't cooked properly and it will poison you.

theres like an entire marketing department behind making food look more plump etc, they use glue, will even cut the burger and turn it to the camera for the commercial. this isnt really new idk theres a disclaimer in ads that it says something like "food will differ from the picture" or something like that.
I was actually thrown off guard when Charlie stopped himself mid speech about cocaine sharks to burp
🤣✋
another thing about taco bell, they took Taco John's (a smaller fast food chain) to court and basically bullied them to surrender their trademark on "Taco Tuesday" when they could've easily just stroke an agreement to use the phrase
Actually when Oregon(one of two states that you couldn't pump your own gas in) said it was no longer mandatory for gas stations to have an attendant, people were losing their minds because they didn't know how to pump their own gas and thought it was too dangerous.
I grew up in New Jersey which is the other state that doesn't allow it.

Mike pence isnt a film student, hed have to ask people for money so that twitter libs dont make epic owns

8:00 I can, unfortunately, verify that is not the case lol. I bumped into someone at a gas station that looked so confused with the gas pump. She was pretty shy in asking how to work it, but she also mentioned she was from Oregon and I had to remember that places exist that you couldn't pump your own gas. Something so obvious to a lot of us was brand new to this person.

Here in Germany, Mikes gas station session would have worked because at most gas stations you can just start filling up your car and then pay afterwards
Same here with Australia
Some parts of the US is the same. I know in New Jersey, they have gas station attendants and all you do is pull up and they fill up for you. Then pay
Was about to say the same thing but UK instead of Germany!
Sweden too
Canada too or at least Quebec too, I suppose I can't talk for every province.
In and out is the only fast food chain to where the food that you get actually looks like the picture. In and out is the best
In Australia, most people are super familiar with just rolling up and choosing from the 3 or 4 pumps and slotting that bad boy in the car then paying for it inside, I totally didn't even realize he was doing anything wrong lol
Same here in Europe, I guess swiping the card beforehand is just an American thing, lol
When i was listening to that part i was like " im pretty sure just in the US in EU everyone just does that, then pays inside."
It can beep on some stations in EU if you need to select method of payment - either go inside and pay or use the payterminal near your station.
its america 10 years ago everyone was just stealing the gas cuz you could select the "pay inside" option after you already pumped the gas and just not go inside and leave.
I have no idea what y'all do but I park at the pump, go inside, pay the cashier, go back to my car, open the fuel door and put the gas in that way.
I'm glad you explained the petrol pump situation as I'm from the UK and had no idea what he was doing wrong. We don't have many of the pay first then pump pumps if that makes sense, and I stay clear of that voodoo if I come across one which is very rare.
yeah in the uk the pay at pumps are so annoying. the asda one i got to sometimes has to verify £100 on your account before you can take any petrol

Cringe
They don't care. They think they have the drug that everyone is hooked on and can do what they want. With the sport games, they appear to be right. They get worse and worse each year, yet the companies are making more and more money.
There are large portions of "gamers" that seem to only play one series of games and will buy every one. CoD, GTA, sport games, etc.
I 100% understand the point you're trying to make. HOWEVER, i do find it funny that "goodwill" is a real financial term that is calculated lollll
This is how it worked in the US until just about everyone installed pumps with card readers. You can still pay inside like the olden days though
@@gnarkilleptic4871 When you pay inside you pay before not after you pump. It won’t let you pump prior to paying.
the gas pump thing could’ve also been he just didn’t select what type of gas he wanted, i’ve paid at the pump and it beeps waiting for you to make the selection

In Europe aswell.

I think the theme in this (apart from the shark story) is how pathetic, out of touch and untrustworthy corporations and politicians are.
I was confused what was wrong with the gas pump at first because in Australia you literally do just grab the nozzle and put it in the car. there's separate nozzles for different types of petrol/diesel and you just grab it, put it in and pull the trigger
one thing i only learned recently from a friend working at a servo is that the staff will press a button on their end to allow the fuel to start flowing. afterwards you go into the store part to pay for your fuel and you tell them what number pump you're at
some servos have an app you can use to pay so you don't have to walk over after - especially handy if you ride a motorcycle so you dont have to take the helmet off
Same in the UK, and in the EU as far as I’ve heard. I didn’t see anything wrong with it until Charlie explained it.
"commercially accurate my left foot" is the best sentence i've ever heard

Mike was going for the small town vibe
@@nealfirstofhisname oh ok, when he said normal i thought he meant pay then pump. My bad, misunderstood
