The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Peabody's Improbable History, and, Dudley Do Right of the Mounties is my favorite segments of Rocky and his friends
When new episodes of "Peabody's Improbable History" appeared on "THE BULLWINKLE SHOW" in 1961, there were new cues and themes for each individual segment (and a new main theme), composed by Fred Steiner. Frank Comstock published his own themes and cues for the two seasons of music he wrote for "ROCKY AND HIS FRIENDS". That's why Steiner's music is used on the home video editions, and some new syndicated versions of the show.
If you look at the boxes of Cap'n Crunch cereals the characters on the boxes remind me of the same way the characters are drawn on Rocky and Bullwinkle and Peabody and Sherman
I remember a few other Peabody shorts on the syndicated Bullwinkle Show reruns using the 1961 intro theme instead of the 1959 version used on other episodes. I also usually prefer the 1959 theme, particularly when used with that "parade" intro. (In many cases they'd use the 1959 themes, except for that closing Bullwinkle bumper with the thunderstorm and flowers, which uses the 1961 music.)
One of my favorite Peabody and Sherman episodes, and here are my favorite quotes: -"Now hear this, you guys! We ravage Mongolia until there's nothing left to ravage. Now, we gonna extend same courtesy to China!" -"Now do you believe it, Mr. Louie?" "That's the 10:15 for Moscow. It's running late as usual." -"You better take it on lam, buster! We coming through here everyday! Adios!" -"Stand back! Louie gonna vamoose!" -"I want 1200 million of pieces of rocks." "Uh, you want that to go?" "No, I gonna eat it here, smarty!" -"Give me 44 million bag of cement." "Uh, you want that, uh, gift-flapped?"
I loved this series and I still love this series. Thank you for this particular upload - considering all things complete. No need to shape the corners to fit; they have already, exactly, been pre-cut. Wall? China? Hmm, who would have thought? Crazy combination! It will never happen!! (Welcome to 2020)
"I want twelve hundred million pieces of rocks." "You want that to go?" "No I'm gonna eat it here, smarty." Ok, uncomfortable stereotypes and bad accents not withstanding, gotta admit that bit made me laugh out loud. xD
PEABODYS IMPROBABLE HISTORY WALL OF CHINA 🇨🇳 WAS AWESOME 👏 MR PEABODY AND SHERMAN EPISODE. WAS AWESOME 😎 LIKE THIS SHOW MR PEABODY AND SHERMAN WAS AWESOME WALL OF CHINA 🇨🇳 EPISODE IS. AWESOME 😎 WAS AWESOME 👏
Never had a dog as a kid, so it is quite amusing that this dog's name is "Pea-body." That's all my dog does when we go out for our walks - pea, everywhere. lol The jokes you didn't get when you were a child.
I believe it was from Blueluigi's fanboys. After I made my rant video on him, some of his fanboys attacked my channel and disliked a handful of my videos.
That was fun ! I enjoyed the little pop-ups , they were not over bearing , [ we must be used to them :) ] and stuck to the idea that , it's a cartoon . Laugh . It's the way to true Love . I am still chuckling at what sounds to me like the character name is being pronounced "Fungus Khan " . Don't tell me if I am wrong . ;)
Anyone else notice that fortune cookies are really American and weren’t actually created until the 20th Century even though they are like 4 centuries back in time prior to that. XD
America needs these cartoons back on television Saturday mornings very badly , college kids could learn about the world from these shows , conjunction junction too lol , great stuff but the politically correctness crowd will lose their minds over chop suey Louie .
sadly an episode like this could never be made today because it wouldn't be politically correct as china has banned time travel... for those who laughed at this stupid joke go to Google and prepare for the biggest double take of your life... followed by a jaw drop
Holy crap guys, he ain't kidding. Those crazy bastards ACTUALLY banned time travel. www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/04/13/chinese-government-bans_n_848769.html
'Improbable' that this cartoon could be made today...more's the pity. The Chinese women would be welcoming the Mongolians in as refugees instead and saying how much they love them.
Re. the comment appended to the cartoon about references to Mongolians being taboo in kid's cartoons today: there is no such prohibition. Mongolia still exists today as a country and its indigenous inhabitants are still properly referred to as Mongols or Mongolians. What is frowned upon today is lumping all East Asian peoples into a broad racial category called Mongolian. It would be like calling all Europeans Scandinavians which, as we know, not all Europeans and their descendants are.
This piece of video is a bit anachronistic. First, during Qin Dynasty it was Hun, not Mongolians, who invaded China and inspired the emperor to Build the Great Wall. Second, the Great Wall could not stop the advancement of nomadic tribes throughout history, from Huns to Mongols and Manchus, making the wall a bit impractical beside its majestic scale. Lastly, what the characters said isn't congruent to what ancient Chinese said albeit it is hilarious or ludicrous.

LOL! These jokes!! TV is not what it used to be. These days, there are very few shows that reach this level of quality, if any.
None do.
TV isn't what it used to be, because people aren't what they used to be..
Bunch of sensitive soy boys
Should try watching other shows lol. But the movie and the new show is just as great as the old show.
Thank you for posting video in the original format.
I love Peabody's Improbable History in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends since I was 9 years old
"Vamoose", and "adios" were Chinese slang. I wish I could meet the writers of this stuff.
You'd need to hold a seance'. Jay Ward died in 1989
@@ernesthill4017 Wouldn't we love to be in on that one! Great comment.

PEABODYS impRObable HISTORY WALL of China 🇨🇳 like this show
This was originally created by Ted Key, the "Hazel" comic strip guy. For those who needed to know.
It's one of my favorite stegments of Rocky and Bullwinkle

"I want 12 million pieces of rock."
"You want it to go?"
"No, I'm going to eat it here, smarty."
I saw this, back in S3, ep28. We got the whole season 3 back in Mountain Dale.

I saw the Peabody and Sherman trailer---made me want to build my own WABAC,
and retrieve the one minute and two seconds watching it...'nuff said.
Im watching this as a child right NOW!
Same
I came here... after seing the Season 1 Finale or the MR. PEABODY and SHERMAN show.
A cautionary tale for 2018.
It only took Mr. Peabody five hours to build the Great Wall of China.
More like 5 minutes, because that’s how long these episodes are.
I appreciate your sharing this which leads me to add "I agree with your comments!"
I wish I grew up watching this instead of the movie.
"I want twelve hundred million pieces of rocks."
"You want that to go?"
"No I'm gonna eat it here, smarty."
Ok, uncomfortable stereotypes and bad accents not withstanding, gotta admit that bit made me laugh out loud. xD
Goddamn Mongorians keep breaking down my shitty warr!

I saw the year 0 in their intro. I wonder if they ever attempted it. I'd like to see them try. heh heh

+Kitten of The Darkness hence Improbable

Come on everyone knows talking dogs orchestrated the flow of history along with Forrest Gump
I saw the movie didn't know they had a cartoon
Fungus Khan was the great-uncle of Ghengis Khan. Or perhaps the Not-So-Great uncle....
Better than today's cartoons.
Anyone else think that caveman hitching a ride on the brontosaurus looked like Doodles Weaver?
Me: but 'Aso' is Japanese
Mr Peabody: quiet you!

Peabody:well he wants to plant wall-nuts

Walnuts is the pun for this episode. It's all about when the great wall of China was first being built. 🇨🇳
There is a mistake in this cartoon. The wall was built because of Huns (Turks), not Mongols.
Wall crash. Loved it
