Im 14 and I say they should air these things and the original Dukes of Hazard and other things the previous generation watched because they beat todays shows
If you see the first episode, Mr. Peabody describes his time machine as an "it should have been" device- in which he and Sherman can directly place themselves in ANY historical situation, in order to keep those events in place...
At 1:50, when Peabody says, "that's an expression that all children in cartoons use", a cel of his mouth is off register, over his muzzle, right as he says "use". Jeepers!
I remember watching this back in grade school when it was on Boomerang. I was pretty surprised when I found out they're making a movie about this segment. :)
LOL@ 2 tickets to Knott's Berry Farm! It wasn't even existance back then....!! Hahahahaha....hell, when I was a kid watching this on the East Coast...I didn't even know what a Knott's Berry Farm was! Thank GOD for inventing the internet....
@VileTheReject It'll more than likely be based off of the first episode (if you want to see it, look for the episode with the thumbnail with a newspaper)
I must say, when the 2014 Mr Peabody talks he sounds nothing like the original Mr Peabody they could have done better finding a comparable voice for sure. That alone kills the movie for me I just cant transform the figure without the voice Sherman is just as off
A little history for all o you mentioning the "swastika" the symbol on the teepee is actually the original symbol from buddhism. The symbol there is the sign for good fortune, luck or well being. Many Nazis were occultists and perverted the symbol so turned it over and rotated it 45 degrees.
"Mr. Peabody, why does Geronimo hate Americans so much?" "Because along with the Mexicans, we invaded his land, displaced his people, and killed his wife. Now that he's signed this treaty, the US will take him into custody, ignore the terms of his surrender, continue to mistreat his people, and basically force him to work as a circus sideshow, even to the point of refusing to return his remains to his home after he dies." "We were kind of shitheads back then, huh, Mr. Peabody?" "Indubitably."
Curtic Carmichael "Telephone poles"? It was clearly stated that they were telegraph poles which have been around long before 1886. But the joking reference to Knott's Berry Farm was more than 50 years off.
An entire movie of bad puns, insultingly inaccurate history, and raping the laws of nature by having a talking, oblivious, nonchalant, possibly gay dog with a retarded human "son" (how does that work?) that doesn't care if he ruins the fabric of space and time and physically injures important people of history and pass it off as humor?? CAN'T WAIT! But seriously though, I think the movie will actually be good.
Im 14 and I say they should air these things and the original Dukes of Hazard and other things the previous generation watched because they beat todays shows
How do you feel you 18 year old about what you said here 4 years ago
This was airing when Cartoon Network was good. Feels good to see it again. :)
I love these old cartoons.
Me, too!
This show was not just for kids!
If you see the first episode, Mr. Peabody describes his time machine as an "it should have been" device- in which he and Sherman can directly place themselves in ANY historical situation, in order to keep those events in place...
THOSE WAS SOME OF THE BEST CARTOONS...
omg I miss this show so much
The puns!!!! So many!!!!!
At 1:50, when Peabody says, "that's an expression that all children in cartoons use", a cel of his mouth is off register, over his muzzle, right as he says "use". Jeepers!
I loved watching this as a kid😃🖒still cool too watch
That's why the title of this series was "Peabody's Improbable History"...there are LOTS of historical incongruities in these stories.
Jay North as Dennis the Menace used to say jeepers. Louis Armstrong sang a song Jeepers Creepers- where'd you get those peepers.
I remember watching this back in grade school when it was on Boomerang. I was pretty surprised when I found out they're making a movie about this segment. :)
I saw the movie today its brill!
very happy to see Mr. Peabody's Improbable History!
"Boy he sure can puff!"
there's a new Mr. Peabody and Sherman show! this time no cartoon looks and vioces
You couldn't say this now a days. Too many Bully babies and PC police... I still love this show.
Yeah....Big Brother _(1984)_ was politically correct.
I watch a channel that shows old cartoons called Boomerang. I sure wish they played this show...
Robbie Bowman Only for old CN shows though.
LOL@ 2 tickets to Knott's Berry Farm! It wasn't even existance back then....!! Hahahahaha....hell, when I was a kid watching this on the East Coast...I didn't even know what a Knott's Berry Farm was! Thank GOD for inventing the internet....
True, when it comes to bad puns, Peabody wins every time.
My favorite re-skin of classic TV is still the Venture Brothers!
Great Show
This is epic and well before my time too.
Very Good !
"...and two tickets to Knott's Berry Farm." I busted up.....
Lol, this is pretty damn funny. My dad told me about this when we saw the trailer.
first time watching mr peabody cause, ya know... i wasn't born when it was around so...
Peabody, here, a subversive delight!
Oh my! Hadn't watched these in years!" lol"
Great video
Two tickets to Knottsberry farm! WOW!
He is making a movie now
The Way Back Machine! What would Mister Peabody do without it?
Without it
The Autobiography of Geronimo is available on TH-cam.
Jeepers.....
lol@the sound of the sunrise.
lol! i love the dog!
Set the wabac in near 1886 to meet geronimo
Fort Heathen Classic
Wigwam manufacturer! Oh hell no!
This is for warrenbernauer: Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...ahhhhhhhh....wahhhhhhhhhhh!
that mr peabody so logical kinda like a socialpath
I didn’t know Geronimo was a person 💀
Textbook Peabody
LOL - Fort Heathen!
Yep! You got it Mr. Wow! That was a symbol of peace, and that's why Adolf Hitler used it! We all saw how wrong that was . . .
Wigwam manufacturer?
It's amazing how much racism was present in old cartoons.
WOW OSEA WOWWWWWWWW
Mr. Peabody is riding on the horse 4:18-4:26
@VileTheReject It'll more than likely be based off of the first episode (if you want to see it, look for the episode with the thumbnail with a newspaper)
This Sherman isn't a thug.
I saw the movie today, the cartoons are far better!
@ProfessorIgor he is wicked condescending but he is awesome.
@TheWowBomb You're right. Many people used the swastika. Just saw a beautiful "storm rug" and it had swastikas all over it.
@TheWowBomb That isn't a swastika, and this cartoon wasn't pre-WW2.
Did he say Injun?!?
He most definitely did
...and the word heathen used in a cartoon about "indians " (Native Americans.)
correct me if i'm wrong did paul frees did the voice of Geronimo?
I must say, when the 2014 Mr Peabody talks he sounds nothing like the original Mr Peabody they could have done better finding a comparable voice for sure.
That alone kills the movie for me I just cant transform the figure without the voice Sherman is just as off
You just know that when the cameras stopped roling, Mr. Peabody b*tch-slapped Sherman around for being so dumb...he he he :)))
Ugh...
*sigh*
Can you believe cartoons actually used to be good at one point? >
They are good cartoons
So.. in 2014 what will the movie look like?
A little history for all o you mentioning the "swastika" the symbol on the teepee is actually the original symbol from buddhism. The symbol there is the sign for good fortune, luck or well being. Many Nazis were occultists and perverted the symbol so turned it over and rotated it 45 degrees.
@MooseMasterTyler yeah because back then a backwards swastika ment a sign of peace.
@twilightmaniac111
GRANDSON of Oak silly!
Peabody doesn't sound to bad in this, but Sherman is, ugh horrible voice wise. Ty Burrell and Max Charles pulled off the voices so much better.
although Mr. Peabody was a condsending little prick, he was loveable just the same.
jajaja he appears on Simpsons :3
haci era antes
Son of oak! lol
I don't even care about alleged 'racism', I just love that the point of this episode is to try and force Geronimo to a reservation.
Quiet you... lol
@fjbutch "Probably?"
I have no idea why Mr. Peabody hung around with that idiot kid. shoulda bin shaggin in the lab.
And we wonder why the generation growing up at this time still has traces of racist thinking...
@ItsDappy Not in the least. It is a cartoon. There was never any intent to discredit dogs. Really.
Doctor Who? ahahah
This came years before Doctor Who...
Yea, i heard about that... :)
wow not gonna go there
bescheuert XD
Quiet you
"Mr. Peabody, why does Geronimo hate Americans so much?"
"Because along with the Mexicans, we invaded his land, displaced his people, and killed his wife. Now that he's signed this treaty, the US will take him into custody, ignore the terms of his surrender, continue to mistreat his people, and basically force him to work as a circus sideshow, even to the point of refusing to return his remains to his home after he dies."
"We were kind of shitheads back then, huh, Mr. Peabody?"
"Indubitably."
You're a douche canoe.
huh... well it's safe to say the movie's gonna be better.
And more politically correct.
KurentEweser God I hope not!
What makes you say that? You don't like this show?
I just have a feeling it's going to be more historically accurate than this. And have telephone poles in the era where they are supposed to be.
Curtic Carmichael "Telephone poles"? It was clearly stated that they were telegraph poles which have been around long before 1886. But the joking reference to Knott's Berry Farm was more than 50 years off.
it's hilarious because of how wrong and racist it is...
Can't wait for the movie!
Look likes Sherman always likes what he does best : ' Horse Playing Around '.
King Lime Pie's ytp brought me here
Every episode a 5 to 8 minute buildup to a really bad pun. But admit it - you can't stop watching them!
Saturday mornings with a big ol' bowl of Cap'n Crunch and Mr. Peabody and Sherman cartoons.
How apropos, for both were produced by Jay Ward.
Nice

Thanks

*Colorado
Just proves how much they lied back then. What a load of shit! Fuck this cartoon!
CAN'T WAIT!
But seriously though, I think the movie will actually be good.
omg that's hysterical, and so unpc.
Mr. Peabody just broke the fourth wall. 1:47
ok that was racciiiisstttttttttt
At 3:26 there is a swastika on the teepee above the pot.
Nothing up my sleve
so goddamn well put
probably smoking pot...
Mr. Peabody rocks!
