@@stevennorthrup5790 How was it a box office failure though? At least according to Wikipedia, its budget was $145 million and it made $275.7 million, which is almost twice its budget. Doesn't it have to earn less than its budget to be a failure? Or is there another unlisted budget (such as for marketing) that would've added up to more than how much money it made?
@@MaxBunny7902 unfortunately, due to other expenses not accounted for in a film’s budget, it most likely didn’t make back twice it’s budget. It’s also more common to expect triple or quadruple the budget in order to be success. Mr. Peabody is sadly considered a failure for Dreamworks.
Videos that get to DVDs can have issues when it comes to music content, as songs are a separate copyright category from that of the film/video production . . . as it boils down to the expense; as many times the music publisher(s) financial demands are too high for the DVD producer to afford. Several noteworthy TV series, with "The Beverly Hillbillies" being one of them, had to use different music for DVD releases than what was originally heard on the TV series.
@@bloqk16thanks for the clarity friend 👍🏾...I think I finally understand why the Rocky Show intro music and series was entirely omitted from the complete DVD series.

This actually sums up differently from the Mr Peabody movie from DreamWorks. I have no idea why it can’t get a sequel.
The film was a box office failure, despite receiving positive reviews and earning $275 million.
Well, we’ll just get into the waybac and back to 2013 so’s to rewrite it and make it a new success.

I am always so happy in this show, and the movie that Sherman found a better home with Mr. Peabody!🐾
A dog wearing glasses earns all kinds of respect. Super Dog.
Underdog 4 the correction
Originally telecast (in black and white) on "ROCKY AND HIS FRIENDS" on November 19, 1959.
As Seen on Popeye, Hercules and Friends
And later appeared on “The Bullwinkle Show” in 1961 and on “Uncle Waldo’s Cartoon Show” with Hoppity Hooper in the mid 1960’s.
And in black and white Peabody's Improbable History!
Originally shown on ABC
Bro is just the description bot
Looks like Peabody's origin has been finally revealed.
Childhood memories.
"Come boy, whistles."😂
"Quiet, you."
I watched many many Peabody cartoons when a boy in the early 60s, but never saw this one!
I had not seen this before great stuff and very clever writing.
In the movie He adopted Sherman as a baby
I watched this as a kid this was the coolist cartoon. Back then we addressed all adults as Mr & Mrs.
Of course Mr. Peabody is a Harvard man....That is I mean dog
this looks more like an '87/'90 restoration than an unrestored print. Then again, an unrestored version of both the intro and the outro are used.
No it's from the 50s
So that's where the sample on Independent Women Part II by Destiny's Child came from
Part of the cartoon line up when I was a child.
Now,THAT’S the original music! NOT that phony junk that’s on DVD!
Who cares

I believe Mr. Peabody also speaks a number of classical (dead) languages
I'm fairly certain that he can also speak canine, and given his intelligence he probably has a good working knowledge of feline as well.
Omg I was today years old when I realized this Destinys Child sampled this for Independent Women part ll
“Doggy want to be Daddy” goes hard
im sad that i was introduced to this dog and boy duo thru the movie and subsequent cartoon
My name is Peabody. I presume you know yours. 😂
I will use that😂
No doubt about it, every dog should have a boy.
I like it
Every dog should have a boy, and it's a shame that they don't.

Book a flight to New York... find out!
Pierre Poilievre reminds me of Mr. Peabody.

Was this made by the same cartoon studio that made The Alvin Show and Rocky and Bullwinkle?
The Alvin Show was another bunch, but yeah on the R&B.
Oh ok
This was made by Jay Ward Animation & Gamma Films, Inc. "Alvin" was animated by Format Films, Inc. founded by two ex-employees of UPA Animation.
Old 1987?
