Hey folks! Funny that this is an audio video but I was having audio issues... you may notice some popping throughout the screen-recorded section. I unfortunately wasn't able to figure out what was causing it and am still looking for a solution for other videos that use screen recording through OBS. If you have any suggestions please let me know! Just wanted to make it clear that it isn't any of the mics, it is probably just a me problem 😂
@@bakihandemiryol2541 oh interesting! I think it has something to do with sample rate/bit rate/frame rate maybe? Only happens when I bring it into Final Cut Pro though so not sure xD
I just spent 3 hours changing my mic settings and placement and now thanks to you my audio quality is bringing tears to my eyes!!! This was so helpful ❤️
Im a musician so i have some experience in mixing: if you add the compressor after the eq its going to compress the frequencys that you just cut out too. I recomend EQing the sound again after the compressor. But great video!
I really appreciate you for actually explaining what each filter does in a way someone with zero sound experience (like me) would understand. I have seen a lot of videos trying and failing to accomplish what you did in this one, thank you!! You deserve way more subs Kyashi!!
This works! I'm in a bit of a noisy environment. Played around with the plugins mentioned in the video, and managed to fix the peaking, warm and crisped it up a bit, and added a noise suppression filter to combat ambient noise and keyboard strokes. Very helpful. Thank you so much!
Am slowly getting into streaming video games and OBS etc. have been quite overwhelming. Thank you for helping me with the next step in journey. Your vibe and clarity are very welcome. Well done!!!

Great content! Keep up the hard work! I made a comment on a short you made about the sm7b and how natural you sound, your voice sounds better than anyone ive ever heard on youtube on the sm7b. thats your mic lol
0:20 That's not the Shure SM58 (from 1966), that's the Shure Beta 58A (from 1996, so 30 years later). It's a completely different microphone with a neodymium magnet, and it costs about twice as much.
any way to do equalization and compression outside of obs and applying it directly to the mic so it becomes an input device with all the tweaks applied to it making it easy to use in for example discord or other programs? I have a nt usb but ordered a siren mini v3 so was curious how to make the v3 sound better.

Thanks to you! I just got that siren too but what kind of arm is that? I also have a blue yeti but it's the old usb. Not usb to usb c. Will that make a difference?
What boom arm do you use for the Siren Mini? I've had the Siren Mini for a while never but never found a boom arm it fitted on. Does the boom arm come with a pop filter as well or no?
You need an adapter for it to fit on most boom arms which is what I've had to use with ever one I've ever had with it! I am currently using the Blue Compass at one desk and an Elgato LP Mic Arm at another, have used cheaper amazon ones too, all need the adapter! I think its 5/8 to 3/8 adapter?
it's only working on stream ? like if i want to setting up the sound voice for discord or teamspeak can i do it on OBS too ? or maybe there is another software to use?
Thank you for this beautiful video, my problem is related to background noise, the microphone is very sensitive, it picks up the slightest sound excessively, and even if the noise suppression filter on the obs works, my breathing sounds are still heard at an ear-hurting level. Do you have any suggestions? for razer seiren mini.
Since the Razer seiren mini is a condenser mic it is going to pick up more detail and more background noise. Breathing is def a hard thing as you're likely breathing right into the mic. I would suggest having it off axis a bit so it's not directly in front of your mouth so it might not pick up as much. another option would be to turn the gain down and talk a bit louder so the breath isnt picked up as much but your voice still is! hopefully that helps
I opted to have the mic off axis enough to reduce the plosives but it definitely could benefit from one! Using a standard pop filter for streaming blocks your face a lot though and I didnt have a windscreen that fit it
So, when I speak normally, and I play it back, it sounds really quiet, but when I speak loudly, it picks up the crackles of my voice and it hits the red threshold frequently. Any tips on fixing this? My windows setting is at 75 btw
No mic will sound similar to these while being that far away. Your closest bet is a long shotgun mic but those can be very expensive. Another option could be to wear a lapel/lavalier mic although the quality isn't as good but sounds like you're going to be struggling with that no matter what.
which mic are you using? sometimes it depends on the direction of the mic but some general tips would be to make sure the mic is close to your mouth so you dont need the gain up as high, make sure the keyboard is on the opposite side of the mic so that where your voice gets picked up isnt picking up the keyboard as much, and lastly would be to use a noise gate but you need to make sure the settings are set right!
