This helped me out a lot, thanks! Wish I had watched a little further before jumping the gun, then I'd have noticed oil would also spill out when removing the filter, lol. Made a big mess, but lesson learned for sure. I appreciate your time putting this together!

Great Video!👍 With that oil filter being on side ways, I Jack up the passenger side only with wheel turned outward that panel covering filter I remove it with same panel tool in your video. You have a clean perfect access to it. Plus if you lay cloth or cardboard under filter on frame it catches excess oil and you can spray degreaser to easily wipe clean and drain plug is easier to reach as well. Then you just pop the push pins back in and it's less time, That bottom part of panel in broke because previous owners was pulling back on it to access filter and over time it broke. I'd rather move the panel. It really help keep that area clean.

Awesome Awesome Video! I found it to be very helpful. I'd just like to add, for anybody changing their oil at home.....If you don't have a secondary device, like a thick piece of wood to keep that car from falling down on you....PLEASE USE THE HYDRUALIC JACK AND/OR TAKE OFF A TIRE AND STICK IT UP UNDER YOUR CAR AS WELL!!! I wouldn't trust my life to jack stands only lol

If you do it right you shouldn’t need a oil filter wrench. It should only be hand tight.

Thanks for the video, but once question; did you put on a new oil drain gasket before putting the screw back on?

Should not need that oil filter wrench due to the fact of hand tightening is all you need for oil filter

You will need something to assist in takeing the old one off the vehicle.

Thank you for the good video.
Questions: Is it safe to jack up the car a little to the right of the designed "jack point"? Will it bend the metal frame?
Do you have any videos doing tire rotations? I want to know where are the jack points to safely jack up all four tires.
    Thank you.

Yes it is safe. It is very possible to bend the pinch weld anywhere if you use it to lift. just take your tine

@@toolscarswithkris Some updates of the headlamp settlement from Nissan. I contacted the local dealer, they said they have ordered the parts and let me know once arrived. Hope this might help.

Mine told me I had to come in for a "visual inspection" then when I said okay I'm on the way now they said "oh we are really busy today try again another time...." Lol I don't know if I even really want them to touch my car with that kind of work ethic

@@toolscarswithkris I asked if the parts are in a day ago. Here is the reply:
“Checked in with my parts department just now , the headlight assemblies don't have an ETA attached to the order . I would assume it will still be a while before they arrive. Once in stock I will reach out or if I get another time frame of when they should arrive.”

I talked with a Nissan 24hr support chat person a few weeks back. And they said they were going to go ahead and order the parts and send my information over to the nearest dealer and that they were supposed to contact me to schedule a time to come in for the repair. Then I never heard anything back after that.

Do you have a link for the filter grabber?! Space is a little tight in my 74 Corvette engines bay and I can’t use the usual metal band ones too well.

I got it off a Snap-On truck. I do not know the number.

I had to punch a hole in the filter and spin it with a screw driver last time!
Ohh the mess and irritation, looking forward to not doing it again
