Michael Gross is perhaps my hero for two reasons:
1. He's a train enthusiast
2. He's the one and only Burt Gummer.
The exact same reason I like him. Mainly number 1 since Im a lifelong railfan
No one better playing Burt Gummer. Definitely made the character. Enjoying all 7 movies and the series.
I wish the series didn't flop so there could have been a few more seasons.
@@KevinBenecke IDK why it was canceled. From what I've read, at the time it was SyFy's #1 show and... Maybe top for the week on all channels. I heard it didn't get the views of the show that was previously canceled/ended, Farscape I believe So Syfy canned it. Plus they didn't like the Shriekers Episodes and ran the episodes out of order with Ep 2 being aired as Ep 13 so that probably didn't help

Burt started out as the comic relief and ended up being the face of the franchise.
My family thought they were campy, but Tremors will always be one of my favorite franchises, and Burt was what made it for me.
3 words to describe Burt Gummer: Everyone's favorite uncle.
Personally, Burt was always just my favorite because he was the single most practical protagonist in any horror movie I had ever seen and he STILL managed to have fun while fighting the monsters.
It´s a testament to Mr. Gross acting skills that he bought to life one of most beloved character in cinema history.
Grew up with Tremors. Only recentley discovered 5 and cold day in hell. Not a huge fan of the assblaster redesign, but shreiker island NAILED IT! Thank you for the years of badass, Burt!
When I was a kid, (im 33 now), my brother and I played Tremors instead of hot lava on the floor. xD

I’ve watched tremors since I was a little kid. I remember one movie night we had with the family and we were watching the ring and I got bored and decided to watch tremors up in my room LOL! I’m 25 now and I still call my dad to let him know that there’s a new installment coming out so he can watch it.

11 minutes is not enough time to talk about "Burt Gummer". He has been one of my Heros since i watched the first Tremors movie as a child and i was SO happy he was in all the movies.
Burt was always my dad‘s favorite character. My dad was also a gun enthusiast and actually owned the same exact GMC Jimmy truck Burt did in the first film. He showed me the movies when I was a young kid. Watching them with him were some of my findest memories. My dad passed away last year... and now Burt is gone as well. Gone but never forgotten!

They both are great legends I have grown up watching all the movies when they first hit the theater, and now I have got my son in to watching them with me as well.
Burt has been a childhood hero and inspiration. I will miss seeing new adventures with him.

One of the best “feel good” movies ever.
Conviction, character, commitment - to me those were the three best words describing Burt.
Tremors has held up way better and remained more true to the original than Star Wars, Star Trek and many other franchises.
When I first time watching Tremors when I was child. I love Burt Character. He so cool
And since that I love everything about Firearms . Even though in my country only Military can own guns. For personal owning of Gun. It's so expensive and so hard. Because you need to learn few years. Got the certificate then fullfill few more obligations that must be fulfilled in order to own a firearm

My favorite childhood memory is hunting paper Shriekers in my backyard with my siblings and my Dad. Thanks for a great childhood!!
I loved his gun enthusiasm, it was almost comical, he knew everything about every gun and explosives...and he was also a survivalist.
Back up north on the rez, we always knew this legend as Burt Gummer. We didn't have cable TV where we lived but we did have vhs tapes. Tremors was the movie that everyone always borrowed because everyone loved it.

I remember walking into my living room and Tremors would be on and my mother would be sitting on the couch watching it. So I would sit down and watch it with her. I was 11 years old. I’m 24 now and ever since then, I’ve been a really huge fan
I remember watching these with my grandfather on snow days that I stayed home from school. Now I'm 27 and I'm showing him that they made 3 more movies to the original 4 series. It's something we bond over and after almost losing him twice now it's something I don't take for granted. These movies were my childhood, my friends and I would play in my backyard as if being chased by graboids and use nerf guns to fight. These movies will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Michael Gross for being the best Burt Gummer you could possibly be, I'm sad to see you go but we loved to watch you leave
It was Burt and Heathers basement defense scene that turned me into a Tremors fan. Burt was always my favorite part of Tremors 1 and of course the sequels. He is a superhero.
It was the second movie that tipped it over for me, how he came in clutch and completely overloaded and used EVERY BULLET trying. I loved him in the first film, but it was the second one that he became the reason I loved the series.
Burt is just as iconic now as Michael Keaton from Family Ties was back in the day.

Most funny thing about this character is that I know his doppelganger in rl, he's around 10y younger, same height, same face, same body frame, same moustache, glasses and hat. Moreover he's retired military. It still impress me how they two can be so similar. I absolutely love this series anyway, but this fact makes it even more special and funny to me.
Tremors franchise is one my favorite and Burt was one reason for it.

Just watched Shrieker Island with my daughter the other day. I got all my kids watching them. I was like, it can't be over. He can't be dead. We were even talking about what future movies could be. Really wish there could be one with them being in the deep ocean.

I feel old, I first watched Tremors 1 when I was 2 or 3 years old.
I grew up with these films, my dad and I rented them from blockbuster back in 2007 and watched all of them, they were my childhood
The Tremors franchise will always be a timeless classic. An American saga that beautifully paints a story of survival and courage on the frontier, the fringes of civilization. To me, it's very much like the Old West and the frontier, and even age-old tales of men battling monsters on the high seas. Tremors exists to remind us that there will always be the unknown and that is the true fear, the real threat lurking just below. But, just as man did battle with the unknown of old, so to can we find the courage and resolve to stand up to the challenges. Just as there was danger lurking below the deserts of a remote town in Nevada, so too is there bravery within all of us... just beneath the surface.
There is no tremors without Burt Gummer!!!

Loved this! Great love for a great actor! Grew up with this series of films! Can’t tell you how many times I had to repurchase the first film. I always wore the tape out. Movie comfort food!
Tremors two, Aftershocks was the one that made him shine the most. We watched it almost as much as number one. The others got weird after that.

I was roughly 7 when I watched Tremors 1 & 2 on old faithful; VHS. I regret nothing as its been an integral part of my childhood
My first take on the character was how wonderfully overkill he was and pretty much always has been. That's what I love about the franchise is how self-aware it is; it knows that at its roots its basically a satire of the creature feature.
