To be successful on your skills test you must demonstrate a set of skills, knowledge, and abilities. These 10 tips will give you that abilities, skills and knowledge that you need to know to be successful!
Become familiar with the skills:
1. Hand Hygiene (Hand Washing)
2. Applies One Knee-High Elastic Stocking
3. Assist to Ambulate Using Transfer Belth
4. Assists with Use of BedPan
5. Cleans Upper or Lower Denture
6. Count and Record Radial Pulse: 25:05
7. Counts and Record Respiration: 27:40
8. Donning and Removing PPE (Gown and Glove)
9. Dresses Client with Affected (Weak) Right Arm
10. Feed Client Who Cannot Feed Self
11. Gives Modified Bed Bath (Face, and One Arm, Hand, and Underarm)
12. Measures and Record Blood Pressure
13. Measures and Record Urine Output
14. Measure and Record Weight of Ambulatory Client
15. Performs Modified Passive Range of Motion (PROM) for One Knee and One Ankle
16. Performs Modified Passive Range of Motion (PROM) for One Shoulder

Taking both tests tomorrow! Not so much worried about the written test but I have major test anxiety so I am nervous about the skills test. Nonetheless, I know the Lord will guide me so should not be worried about anything.

Passing the CNA test is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don’t have time for your studies I’d advise you get yourself a help like Mr James

Starting my CNA class on Tuesday! I'm excited and nervous. I'm already a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist, but I am looking forward to having a more well-rounded education. I have the education for them, but no experience so finding a job has been hard. That's not why I want to become a CNA though. I've always wanted to be in healthcare and I have always seen myself in the healthcare industry. I want to give others a better life with a smile on my face. I have already watched a few videos and they have definitely given me more confidence about starting class soon.
I have this test in about ten minutes! Im gonna pass!

@@ceeceepegg9056 I took mine today and passed I failed my skills once waited 30 days rescheduled and studied for a whole week.. STUDY STUDY STUDY keep rewatching those vids! Try not to be nervous and they aren’t doing anything that requires to take mask off

@@ceeceepegg9056 Make sure you wash your hands correct way, Talk to them.. ask them are they ok and comfortable.. Don’t forget to give them call light if you’re test Is coming up don’t stress you got it! Get you something good to eat, drink water, peppermints💪🏾
I take the State Skills Exam Aug. 02, 2022. I live in North Carolina and we only get 30 mins to complete it. Please keep me in prayer cause I really need to pass so I continue on my journey to become a LPN.

@@madishore5194 honestly a lot easier than i expected, my partner for the cna test failed bc she didn’t manage her time correctly and couldn’t finish her skills so just make sure you finish in time and you’ll be ok

I remember when I was a CNA a LVN told me that CNA’s aren’t good enough to be called Nurses.
They are Nursing assistants of course but not nurses
lol that LVN shouldn’t be called a nurse either, that statement showed their biter lack of knowledge
CNA’s technically aren’t “good enough” to be nurses. Good enough being defined as “adequate in the necessary knowledge, skills, and accolades it takes to become a registered nurse”. This doesn’t, however, mean that a CNA doesn’t possess the potential to become a Nurse.
it really should not matter because the main purpose is to take care of patients do your job mind your own and not compare yourself to others
While certified nurse aides/nursing assistants aren’t nurses they do work with them. All in the nursing department. CNAs are the eyes and ears, everyone above us relies on our observations.
