Towing and Recovery - Rare 1940's Sedan

- We're going on an expedition to recover a rare 1940's exotic car. Daring for its time and nearly forgotten, this sedan is worth the rescue. Join us as we embark on a journey to catch this rare find and take it home. We even encountered a last-minute ice storm. More importantly, we'll show you everything that we loaded on the trailer and in the bed of the pickup, so that we could trailer our shark home. We captured a lot of details that show what's necessary to secure just about any load onto a trailer.
Be sure to count the kitty cameos in this video. It's okay to count the same one twice; that counts as an appearance. It can get a bit challenging as they have a way of scampering across the screen. Additionally tell us the exact year, make and model of the car on our trailer, then write your answers in the comments section. Be sure to answer both correctly. The winner will receive a scale model of a Graham Combination Coupe.

Sharknose Graham, one of my favorite old cars. I'm partial to the '38-'39 models, but it's still extremely cool.
I like the 39s the best since the running boards were deleted. This car has a something very special about it that we will detail in an upcoming video.
Hupmobile was my first thought but Graham is what it is. I love those what they call "Orphan Cars"! I will follow your restoration of this one, count me in!
Thank you for taking closer look and for enjoying the rest of the video. We love Hupps too. I think you'll enjoy reading all of the comments on this video. Here's our second video on this project: Graham Sharknose 2 Door Sedan Investigation - Solving the Mystery of the Car They Say Wasn't Built, th-cam.com/video/TRvMSnL4b5M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zaNJsOlnsM6xLk3W Thanks for watching!
It is a Graham-Paige Model 107 DeLuxe "Sharknose" sedan and you told us it was from 1940! What a beast!
As for the kitties, it was not clear if you wanted to know how many individuals there were or how many appearances they collectively made!
Greetings from the UK!
You're getting warmer (very warm). Each time a kitty enters the screen counts, whether he/she's already appeared. That could be one time, two times, 3 or more for the same kitty. Thanks for tuning in from the UK!
I can say I like some of the simple things about the car. Solid front axle, bumpers and the dual split windows but I can also say that there are things about it that are beyond elegance like the front clip. It’s fancy like an old Rolls Royce. 👍
Totally agree! There could have been much more to it, if Amos Northrop had finished it. Sadly, he passed away before its completion. Thanks for watching1
Hello from NM
Nice find 👌
Hello there! Thank you. This car has special features compared to other Graham Sharks. Please stay tuned for our follow up video on this unique find.
Wow! Very cool, David!
Thank you, Manny. I poured the second half of your molds today. Parts will be sent soon.
Can't wait to see the next video, especially the body tags.
I'm going to say twenty-three (23) kitties.
Thanks! The kitties are fun to count. Thanks for watching, good to see that you enjoyed the video.
Graham Sharknose very art deco styling
We have a four-door sedan painted in Meadowbrook Green. Sometimes it reminds us of Oz. 😊
At least you have the headlight doors. Could you reproduce the lenses with 3d printing?
I would assume that you could. A better way would be to cast a new one in clear plastic. However, I have several on the shelf that are new old stock.
Looks great for a car that wasn’t supposed to exist, wish I could have been along for the road trip.
That would have been a ton of fun! There will be a "next time," I'm sure and it will take some planning. We can always head your direction and pick you up along the way or vice versa. It would definitely make a terrific weekend. It sounds like your memory has served you well. Now, if only you can count the kitty cameos and give an exact year, make and model of the car. Pop some corn, get a tally sheet, sit back, relax and start counting. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
@@CarzPlus I wouldn’t want to take the fun from all the other viewers since I got a sneak peak over the weekend!
@@tspence6671 Aww, shucks!
Probably drives like a truck with that solid front axle. Lol😊 yep I subscribed!👍
Thank you so much for subscribing! Good to hear that you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
From Michael Keller: The Spirit of Motion that “was never built.” But cataloged.
The Combination Coupe “that was never built.” MK
A very logical conclusion, but there are more details in what this rare beauty actually is. I will be doing a follow-up video that will go in depth on this rare car. Stay tuned for a future episode, complete with sources.
Senior 2 door Sedan.
That's part of the story, and there's more. Thanks so much for the comment. We'd like to encourage Julie and your grandson, Oscar, to count all the kitties. Keep in mind that if the same kitty appears twice, that counts as 2 cameos. The darn thing with kitties is that they can look alike.
Graham paige
Yes, the manufacturer Graham-Paige Motors Corporation. In our next video about this car we will add the information about how rare this car is.
2 Door 107 Sedan?
As the saying goes: Getting warmer.
Sharknose Graham Hmmm Straight axle?
Correct on both accounts. However, something else is very special here. Let us know if figure it out. Thanks for watching!
The car is a 2 door. And supercharged.@@CarzPlus
Graham Paige
Yes, it was manufactured by Graham-Paige Motors Corporation. If you can hunt up more details, let us know. Thanks so much for watching.
She’s pretty rough!
Yes, but there is a good reason to save this car. This will be detailed in an upcoming video. The nice thing is that all the fenders and missing skirts are shared with 4 door sedans. They can be switched out. Thanks for watching!
@@CarzPlus your welcome! I have to admit the best part for myself was the fact that it’s a father, son adventure! I lost my dad about 6 years ago to cancer. I miss him so much and think of him everyday!😉
Thank you so much. Your comment is kind and touching.
So glad you were able to rescue this car! My mission at @nmdesertclassics is not to own every car I find, but to connect cars with owners who will give them the respect they deserve after years of being forgotten.
Can’t wait to see your next video to see what it actually is…
Thanks for taking us along,
Daniel Cass
