Aerondight From the Witcher 3 is a great weapon locked behind a DLC (Blood and wine). Here's the swords perk discription: Each blow generates charges which increase sword damage by 10%. Charges are lost over time or when receiving damage. A fully-charged sword always deals critical hit damage. Killing a foe with a fully loaded sword will expend its charge to permanently increase the weapon's damage. Damage is increased by: 0 (to a maximum of 10 - increasing along with your character level).
I had to complete the Master sword trial twice in Breath of the wild, because I didn't save after I completed it, I assumed the game would auto-save like it usually does. I was devastated when I realized that i had to go through the challenge again.
There is noway I'm not going to use a overpowered weapon because it will feel like I'm cheating, it's given to you for a reason and I will happily use it
I was deeply worried you were not gonna include the Saw from Bloodborne, the best weapon I have ever got in a DLC. Once again you did not disappoint my friend!
Pretty much all of Borderlands 3's DLCs introduced at least 1 overpowered weapon to collect. The Light Show, Flipper and Plasma Coil just to name a few. Not to mention the title update that added overpowered weapons to certain base-game bosses' loot pools like the Sand Hawk or Monarch.
I would’ve included Aerondight from The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine DLC and the Bloodskaal Blade from Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC. Aeorondight’s a sword that can upgrade itself, and once you get enough hits at an enemy (without being hit) every sword strike you deal is a critical hit. The Bloodskaal Blade is a massive red blade that looks awesome and whenever you’d do a heavy attack a red slash of energy would come out of the blade which made it stronger for close combat and hitting things from a distance without needing to use a bow like setting off explosive lantern traps in ancient ruins. Both of these swords will always be in my inventory every playthrough of these two games
I was thinking about Avo’s tear from Fable’s DLC, but it’s just as powerful as the sword of Aeons and just a means you don’t have to choose the bad ending.
I'm so behind on that game I jumped in last night cause it's been a month since I played & I made it to the priestess who turns into some mummy like giant cat/rat? I forget but damn my heavy blade just wasn't enough 😂😅
It's a little bit before "DLC" was really a thing but I remember Doom 3 didn't initially have a double-barreled shotgun until the Resurrection of Evil expansion... but that thing was worth waiting for. Once the pack was installed I think you could get it in the base game using cheats, and I remember a lot of custom levels using it as well.
The M-12 Locust _does_ have two weak-points; its ammo reserve. It doesn't have as large a reserve as other SMGs, and it subsequently runs through its reserve ammo surprisingly quickly for its slow fire-rate, which can leave you with it running low/empty at inopportune times, especially if it's serving as your primary weapon. It also feels like the ammo pickup efficiency is low when I'm using it, but that might just be me.
I agree with you still prefer heavy pistol for ammo to damage efficiency. Nothing like a 2 tap to the head or the classic ME1 rifle in ME3 just shoot and vent.
My first Fallout 4 playthrough was melee and yes the super sledge was my favorite and i even had a legendary variant however i was so strong i got bored before the dlc came out ironically. I wanted to come back to play but just couldnt.
Dlc guns that "break" games are the best. I love when I can basically start a far cry game with a sniper rifle instead of having to slog through the opening until the game decides to unlock sniper rifles...
@@PersonageEnigmatic The Lancer was also pretty good too, add the heat sinks to improve ammo consumption, reduce recoil and use Armor piercing ammo and that thing can shred enemies
Those were nerfed to oblivion, though. So much so that they actually buffed it back to a reasonable level. However, It no longer has the perfect lock-on tracking that it used to have.
3:26 The Obsidian Greatsword is not an OP wepon by any means , its a good wepon early game since it has very low requirements to use so almost every character at the start of the game can use it to make a low level invasion build and be a god , but passing mid game that wepon will drop damage like there's no tomorrow , it sux late game because it has no scalling like all other dragon wepons and at max +5 it has a pettyfull damage of 480 , you wont go far with that. The true best wepons of the Artorias of the abyss DLC are the Stone Great Axe for strength builds, and the Dark Silver Tracer as is the best dagger for backstabs, and the Gold Tracer is an amazing curved sword for dex users.
Trueflame from _The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind's Tribunal_ expansion. It's a one-handed longsword that does more damage than most two-handed longswords in the base game. In addition, he has a powerful fire damage enchantment AND it has the unique effect to act as a torch that never goes out.
No love for Far Cry 5's assortment of lazers from the Mars DLC? Come on, for about 15 bucks, you instantly gain access to a bunch of weapons that swath a path through planes, helicopters, cult members, bosses, and basically anything else.
I'm surprised I didn't see the Grog Nozzle from Borderlands 2's Dragon Keep expansion, or even any weapon with the chaos damage enchantment from Skyrim's Dragonborn expansion.
I would have included The Sanctum Crossbow from Dark Souls 2. It fires a homing dark proximity bolt that was nearly impossible to roll dodge. It made pvp very easy for those who used it.
I don’t play online and only play the base games. There are times that I like to play the base games with DLC’s and be overpowered and just lay waste and be the dominant force in a play through
The Eden Spark was so much fun I will say it's not nearly as op as it sounds though as unsurprisingly it doesn't work in caves, indoors or with any environmental structures blocking it's path so yeah that's a thing
The Locusts is ok in MF2, but the Tempest is the only gun with which I have been able to bring down a Harvester in MF3. Give it the right upgrade parts and it'll destroy anything.
I played the mp for 2000+ hrs and I can sure tell you those dlc guns broke the whole mode. Just the tac shotgun alone was broken being able to down the enemy team with 4 bullets. Hopefully they don’t add stuff like that in the new fractions game they are making
I actually love the tactical weapons bundle idea from a player and business perspective. It’s easy math for the business. ‘We sold 20 million copies of the game, 25% of the people will buy it, that’s an extra 15M in sales relatively effortlessly.’ It’s not a loot box.
I don't want a jumpstart to make a game easier at the start. Why... The struggle is half the fun. If you want to pay to cheapen a game good you. RE TLOU

that weapon turned me into a blender
If they do make Witcher 3, I hope they make weapons upgradable. I hated finding new quests, completing them, and the weapon is 20 levels too low.
I had to complete the Master sword trial twice in Breath of the wild, because I didn't save after I completed it, I assumed the game would auto-save like it usually does. I was devastated when I realized that i had to go through the challenge again.
Aerondight in Witcher 3 deserves a mention as well. Pretty much the go-to sword for everyone who's playing the DLCs
There is noway I'm not going to use a overpowered weapon because it will feel like I'm cheating, it's given to you for a reason and I will happily use it

The Rakuyo was worth going down the well for.
Its probably my favorite weapon but I normally just get one from the challice dungeons

Whirligig was nice and all, but the basic Ludwig's Holy Blade was the one who carried me till the end (first playthrough).

Yup, same on my first playthrough... Only to find out after that the holy blade's nickname is the noob-stick for exactly that reason 🤣

As somebody who just started Mass effect 3 , I hope the Particle beam gun is in this list
its in the main game, Citadel DLC gives you a really strong Assault Rifle and Pistol.
@@derrinerrow4369 No it's not, it's in the From Ashes DLC, and sure, that was a day one DLC, but it's a DLC nonetheless.
Eh, tbh the particle beam isnt that good outside of multiplayer. Now the pistol you get in the Citadel DLC, the M7 Suppressor, is amazing.

My personal favorite melee weapon in the Far Harbor dlc was the Harvester. I've never been a big fan of sledge weapons personally
M-12 Locust from Mass Effect 2 over the M-11 suppressor from Mass Effect 3? No way! 😂
Everyone knows Andromeda is the best anyway ..... 😜
Mattock is also DLC weapon and it's much more powerful than Locust
Eden spark was the best thing abt jc3 it was sooo fun

My god this was a good in the morning video ❤️
If we can include powers as a weapon, Mass Effect 3 has Flare. If you go full powers you basically turn into a human rocket launcher.
Can't imagine how you chose the whirligig saw over rakuyo fron the same dlc.
What about Aerondight from thr witcher 3? Locked in blood and wine but upgrades when used. Makes new game plus way easier.
What about the Unkempt Harold from Borderlands 3?
It was in the Bounty of Blood DLC.

do monster hunter collaboration quests count as dlc?

No mention of Raygun MKII from BO2?
Me: “so it’s a combo of 2 dlcs, big kid and laser detonator in fnv, combine em and you get a super fast nuke firing weapon”
The Aerondight sword in Witcher 3 DLC is overpowered AF. Shame is not on this list
Looking at Eden spark my first thought is oh it's the hammer of dawn from gears of war
None of the Borderlands series? I'm very upset Clap Trap's glitch weapons were never mentioned.
