Right there with ya. Online was always about socialising and fun whereas trophy hunting was always about testing myself and going all zen. I just don’t think those two pursuits meld well at all.

@@richard3921 I’ve wondered the same. I happened to catch an interview when he hit 1000 plats and he stated he plays most the day. He’s a day trader (or similar) and apparently sets it up to run mostly autonomously so he can game. The kicker was the look on his wife’s face taking care of the kids. Hopefully the dude stays involved with them as he does gaming.

I've Platinumed Dark Souls Remastered, DS3, and Bloodborne. Once you get the flow of the games down none of them are too challenging. DS3 is mostly just a grind fest to get every trophy.
same but i have ds 2 too and now i need to buy demon souls and i have all souls maxed out so than i can play sekiro
I have them all as well. It’s not very difficult after the first one.
I have all of them PS4-forward. DSR, DS2, DS3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and DeS Remake.
I plan on doing DS1 and DS2 vanilla for PS3 eventually, but I don’t know if I’ll ever get around to the original Demon’s Souls. It is BY FAR my least favorite souls game, and the PS3 platinum is infinitely more tedious. It took me a year to have the energy to plat the remake (55 hours).
I would say BB and DS1 plats were fun, DS3 was a grind, DS2 was okay, and you basically have the Sekiro platinum if you can beat Demon of Hatred and wanna play a relatively short game more than once.

I still need to get back to DS1 remastered and ds2, but i also plat ds3, BB, Demon Souls, sekiro and about 2 hrs to go for elden ring plat (Yeah, I have been playing this very slow as I somehow dont have the mood to play games sometimes)
My favourite plat so far was God of War (2018). The feeling after getting that trophy is truly something you guys should experience. Currently I'm on my way to platting Darksiders 2.
I have every trophy for every Splinter Cell, Hitman, Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia game that has trophy support. But every Final Fantasy game is really fuckin' impressive!

Hitman is fun. Just takes a long time. But the game has so much replay-ability it’s practically story related

RDR2 was definitely a push for me, but I got the platinum this April!

I’m on the list for all platinums for all souls-borne games including Sekiro. Also have Nioh 1&2. I’m sure lots of others watching here are also part of it. Fun, grindy and sometimes stressful.
Getting 100% on dlc trophies for nioh 2 was the grindiest for me, since you have to play through way of the demon. Didn't do that on Nioh 1, though, just got the platinum and played normally through dlc
Nioh 1 was no doubt the best game I have ever played. Did most bosses no hit challenge as well, been 1k+ hrs on it.
I know this is an old comment but just wanted to say I'm also in this club. The FromSoft games are not particularly difficult to platinum, they're all very doable, some of the trophies are just tedious, with having to complete multiple playthroughs, collect all rings, etc. Lots of pointless farming involved.
Also platted Nioh 1 and Nioh 2. Haven't gotten to Nioh 2 DLC yet though. Only trophy I gave up in Nioh 1 was the very last DLC mission on Way of the Demon where you have to fight the samurai and the huge fox demon. Actually impossible.
I’m so proud of having all but 1 of the trophies in Crypt of the Necrodancer including completing a Coda run (the hardest character in the game). Hopefully soon i’ll get the platinum

I started my Platinum trophy journey 12 years ago with Uncharted 1. I didn't give it much thought but in the last 2 or 3 years, I've made it my goal to get a platinum if I honestly could. I'm 90 deep now (12 this year).

Just unlocked my 55th plat in day of the tentacle never thought I'd play that 2 decades ago with my dad then years later be getting 100% on it

There is a HUGE difference between "Beating" a game, and "Completing" a game. Beating a game simply means you got to the end of the game. Completing a game means completing every single objective on your way to beating a game.

A huge achievement for me : playing Cuphead without cursing or raging against the machine.
Not the most hardest but in January I finally got every achievement in Sunset Overdrive after not playing it for 6+ years, generally a tame game but getting all the multiplayer achievements sucked because no one plays the online. Within two weeks I ended up gathering a group and we smashed those achievements. Probably more proud of the crazy networking I had to do to get this over the actual achievements themselves

Have 32 or so platinums but I firmly believe I peaked with the very first three I have: AC Brotherhood (earning Abstergo Employee of the Month without boost is a tough one), Catherine (freaking Axis Mundi and Rapunzel) and DJ Hero 2 (easily the rarest plat I have, and probably will ever have for a long while)

I put my trophy hunting on hold this year and it feels so good to sit back and enjoy a game without thinking I need the plat, I've only gotten 9 plats since the PS5 came out, I've been rockin out Switch games this year for some reason

I also have all the platinums for every SoulsBorne made by From Soft, as well as the Demon's Souls remake and both Nioh 1 and 2. I don't have them for some other souls like games like Code Vein, The Surge 1, 2 and Lords of the Fallen. I started going for each of those, but they tended to have some extremely tedious mechanics or required more online coop than I was interested in.

I platinumed Sekiro on both PS4 and PC. I've platinumed Bloodborne twice. Also, my platinums are split across Steam & PlayStation consoles. @@DarkCrowI No, I'm not concerned with platinuming every variation of every release on every console, just every individual game release in one form or another. Getting a platinum on Scholar of the First Sin is fine for me to count Dark Souls 2 as done. Getting a platinum on Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition is sufficient. The remastered version is just barely a new coat of paint on it.
I 100%'d oblivion as well as got mile high club on modern warfare. I swore to myself Id never pour my life into getting achievements like that again, it was way too stressful. That being said, mad respect for these individuals. That's dedication!

Easy. Work on all the other trophies first for each game then do the last trophies all in a row
Getting a platinum in either of those is a massive accomplishment:
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (beating every optional boss 3 times, once for each playable character, this one is the only one in this comment that I got, and it felt so satisfying to get)
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (the relic requirement for this is insane)
Devil May Cry 5 (S rank in every mission on every difficulty, that's for major pros only)
Megaman 11 (beat the whole game on Veteran or above in less than 6 hours, not to mention the trophy for DR Light's trial)

@@S1lverArr0w Not as easy as you're saying, given the perfection relic requirement, the ridiculous loading time for each restart, some auto-scroll areas with barely any wiggle room, and that stupid triple spin idea that makes the time trials way more tedious than in other games.
Getting 100 percent is fun (especially with the absurd amount of wumpa fruits that make a game over nearly impossible), but 106 percent is a nightmare.

MGS4 requires a minimum of 8 play through and 1 save file HAS to be 35 hours minimum. It’s pretty nonsense

Me - someone who also has every Soulsborne Platinum trophy - thinks the Twisted Metal (PS3) platinum trophy was the hardest trophy I've ever earned.

Soulsborne trophies were all pretty easy honestly. I'd say ds2 was the hardest with scholar of the first sin putting some rings in the dlc areas. I found Resident evil 1 remastet and Monster Hunter World to be way harder platinum trophies to get. Mhworld sits at 1.2% amount of players earned the platinum, years later, Resident Evil Remaster also at 1.2% of players earned currently, and i got that back in 2017 lol.
As someone with the newest demon's souls platinum on the PS5, I have to say getting the Final Fantasy 14 platinum trophy is the hardest I've ever gotten. Not because it's hard in the traditional sense, but it takes years as that is an MMO, and there is a lot to do. Demon's souls I got that plat on a little over a month of playing as a great sword dragon bone character which isn't too hard.

Keep an eye on Squillakilla Gameranx! He's currently attempting "The Master Run". All 5 Soulsbourne games back to back taking absolutely no damage at all. Not a single reduction of the hp bar. Ds1-3, Demon souls and Bloodbourne.

RDR2 trophies took a lot of time to complete. I did all the single player trophies but gave up on the online trophies because I got bored to death. Most annoying part was hunting a bull moose (4 days irl to find one)

7 DAY SURVIVOR TROPHY is insane. I love the dead rising series, grew up playing them. That trophy is something else.
I still play the games to this day to look for new secrets. I've been a regular on the Dead Rising Sub on Reddit for years. I've 100%ed 1, 2, and Off the Record multiple times. I didn't like Rising 3 or 4. They changed too much. This franchise was a beauty
Hey Falcon, I got all the platinums for Soulsbourne series this year. It took me 3 months, but it’s doable mostly because they are great games. Another one I’m proud of is Devil May Cry 5. This one is it hard to because requires game mastery and also took me 3 months. There are great platinums out there, but I think I’m away below that guy with 1200…

In RDR2 I got 100%, zoologist, and skin deep in like a month. For having a job and demanding hobbies that’s not too bad
I will never forget hunting for the Gran Turismo 5 platinum. The previous GT games were the essence of my childhood, so the added motivation of the platinum trophy made me want to play even more. I was so close, had nearly every gold trophy except for a few of the Red Bull X2010 challenges and maybe a couple of endurance races. But then the YLOD came and it was all gone.
The exotics side mission is the reason why I just can’t 100% red dead redemption 2
It's really not worth it. At a certain point it becomes unpaid work. I don't have time for that. I just wamt to enjoy the story and explore. I still have a life to maintain in the real world lmao.

If you play on ps4 or ps5 watch out for some of the trophies. They are bugged. I had to play the whole game again and 100% the game in one go to get some of the trophies.

The DS2 platinum was one of the harder ones for me. The hardcore playthrough was super stressful.

The Platinum Trophy for Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3 is insanely difficult, like you can't just be a trophy hunter and go for it, you have to be dedicated to the game, it needs like 600+hrs of grinding across A and B Spec, and you need to *Git Gud.* Some things just seem impossible to Gold without a proper wheel, I've only seen a handful of people get the trophy.
To this day, 11 years after game came out, I'm still not done with everything in it.

I have also all the platinums from DS1 to Sekiro and i did it in like a year and played some of them even after the platinum lol. There are actually a lot of posts from people completing the platinum hunt for all the FS games on reddit. And it will continue with eldn ring :)
The Frozen Synapse one was awesome, writing a poem to unlock what is effectively a boss battle with the *creators of the game* is some real life JRPG shit.

Yeah, getting all achievements from soulsborne games isn’t that difficult since there’s only 5 games and getting platinum from one game takes about the same time as any% completion from persona 5. But there’s like a million final fantasies on ps4 and a lot of them ARE LONG.
13 was such a pain in the ass for me to get Platinum. I actually had to play through the game TWICE because SE decided to patch the game at some point, resetting all of my Treasure Hunter trophy progress and I had sold all the stuff I didn’t need on the first playthrough. Needless to say I made sure I HAD ONE OF EVERY WEAPON AND ACCESSORY IN MY INVENTORY AT ALL TIMES!
Seriously I was so pissed I had to play the game over again. Luckily I didn’t have to do the other challenging trophies over again but STILL.
Now they have to do Kingdom Hearts to expand the FF completion
@@TheHarmacist001 Unobtainable is a bit of a strech. The lighntings have an exploit and the chocobo racing is not that hard, there is a bit of RNG, so with a little bit of perseverance, I believe it can be done by anyone.
They can't be compared to the 1000 jump rope of FF9

i like that 50 trophy in 20 hour challenge. i did a similar but way smaller thing a few weeks back, i think i got 5 platinums in one weekend or something. i discoveredlots of small downloadable games for dirt cheap that are pretty clever and fun, some even requiring 100's of hours of playtime. 8-bit armies, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Tiny Metal, Chroma Squad, Rainbow Moon, Spaceland....so many good indies!

don't know if I'll ever get a platinum, frankly. Unless I happen to play a good game where they are super easy. On xbox I can't remember a game I ever 100%'d either. When games start feeling like work I check out.

The only game I've ever gotten every achievement in was sekiro. I just really love the game and was only missing a couple so I went back and finished it
Very nice. That was the hardest From Software game to platinum for me.
I've beat the others, but never platinumed any others. Something just clicked with sekiro I got hooked on it and got really good at it.

I have the platinum trophy for demon's souls, dark souls, dark souls 2 on ps3 and bloodborne, dark souls 3 and sekiro on ps4. After the first playthrough everything becomes easier, it just takes time. Also I got the trophies in offline mode which meant that getting the required items for joining each covenant took up most of my time.
100%ing the entirety of the Master Chief Collection is probably one of if not the hardest challenges to date. Not only do you have to complete all Laso campaigns there are also numerous multiplayer achievements. I do not knownif vidmaster achievements are also in the MCC because I haven't even tried to 100% it.
Hate to detract from the accomplishment but for #4, the reason you've never heard of these games is because they're PSN shovelware that trophy hunters buy for easy 20 minute platinum trophies.
Right! Lol - he doesn’t know about them cuz he probably ignore the $5 or less 20mins to play games. Also - completely not an accomplishment to get that many of that type in 20hrs, I know tons of people who could’ve gotten more of those types of games
300 in a year you’d have to get a trophy every 1.2 days holy it takes me a week of grinding to get a platinum and that’s if I really enjoy the game

So for Number 6, Brian of PS4Trophies (now PS5Trophies), played a lot of what we call in the trophy hunting community, "EZPZ", These are typically games published by Ratalaika Games, a lot of them can be fun in their own right, but the trophy list is designed to get the Platinum in 30 Minutes to an hour...some games even less. For instance I have the Platinum in a game called "Road Bustle" in 2 Minutes 48 Seconds (my fastest Plat that isn't a PS5 auto-pop). These aren't Platinums I'm particularly proud of...I mostly play them out of curiosity and when im the mood to play something, but don't want to play what I'm currently playing....though one thing I won't do is buy 6 stacks of these games just to Plat them 6 times...a lot of the trophy hunters that have 600-1000+ Platinums do this.
Thank you for the shout out. I've loved Dead Rising since it was new. I've since 100%ed the Ps4 version of the game since the making of this video lol. I've also 100%ed DR2 and DR2:Off the Record on multiple platforms. I didn't like the games that came after them.

It’s actually not as difficult as it sounds, it’s just VERY time consuming. You don’t want to attempt on your first trip through because of the somewhat high encounter rate in the Thunder Plains. Once you have access to No Encounter armor (or if you happen to get a NE weapon drop from Geosgaeno), you just find a spot where lightning will strike most frequently and pay close attention to the timing (and count in your head). Input latency will also play a big role as well.
It should take no more than about a half-hour to 45 minutes to get to 200 in one attempt. If you need to take a breather, pause after you dodge a bolt and recollect yourself (get a drink, empty your thoughts, etc.)
There is actually a location where the lighting hits in a specific rythm. And so this is quite easy when you found this rythm.
people have been doing it even from ps2 era, i have a friend who 100% FFX back then when trophies aren't a thing, took him around 120 hours of playtime

I got the Plats for My Name is Mayo and Little Adventure on the Prairie last summer. Changed my life forever.
I got the achievement in gta4 for killing a member of the dev team in multiplayer. Only problem it was on a mates ps3. Gutted.
I like how she went from 13,200 to 132,000,000 gamer score real quick. That’s impressive.
The hardest Platinum I ever got was in Returnal. There's RNG involved so you need a lot of luck and patience

I got my first plat in AC Unity I think, then started a trend of always platinuming AC games, then it grew to trying to get plat on every game I played where plat is fairly reasonable. Now got 8, not bad for only doing it for about a year

I would wager this is one of the hardest platinums that are legit, because of the amount of time it takes to get level 100, and 1 million tetrimino spins is insane, as well as the SS everywhere trophy, which is really what makes it hard.. I'm like 3 SS ranks, 5 levels, and the million spins trophy away from a platinum. The avatars also took hundreds of games on the weekend to achieve. I'm at 85% but really the SS is the only one that is hard, the rest is a grind that is almost finished.
@@clay25420 you sir are a God among men. I consider myself above average at the game, like in the single player I start to lose it around speed 10 and by 13 I'm in full panic mode. It's rough lol. I salute you for pushing through it!
@@frostbite3820 HAHA, oh no... I have 2 SS ranks left by the way and am at level 100 now!! I will have it within the week. I'm like a really good mediocre player, or a really crappy expert, lol.. When I play online, I win the majority of my matches easily, but when I come across someone better, it's not even close and I get smoked. I have a few videos of me playing here on youtube including one against youtuber Wumbotize.. He's really good.
All FF trophies is impressive. I am currently working on all trophies for the Mafia series (DLCs included). I also own every single platinum for all the Yakuza games, even the region locked ones and the spinoffs (15 total).

The hardest game I've completed is Super Meat Boy on the 360, with Split/Second coming way close (the rubberbanding is ATROCIOUS).
When it comes to specialized / self-imposed challenges, I finished Borderlands 2 on the 360 as my 69th game completed; I even unlocked the final achievement at 4:20 AM on a school day!

Platinuming souls games are actually surprisingly easy compared to beating the game. Most of them don't even require you to 100% the game. I platinumed Sekiro and Bloodborne without getting tons of items.

Being an achievement addict, I find myself unwillingly bound to a single console. I'm trying to break away from its curse by getting 2nd job so I can go back to computer gaming. May the gods have mercy on my soul.
It's funny how little the trophy community is compared to the achievement community. These are relatively accomplishable tasks by good achievement hunters

@@marj9902 I don't know for sure but I'd say it's a lot bigger and probably kore hardcore. Mainly becuase it's been going since 2005 as appose to trophies that started in 08/09
FF13 was my first my first FF platinum which I got twice in Eng and JP, but FFX and FF9 were impossible for me and I didn’t bother with buying the online games, so I just have a few FF plats like the 13 series twice with the JP region as well, X-2, XII and XV. I think people who can get all the Kingdom Hearts Plats are amazing.

Same here, also have ps5 demon's souls but I didn't bother with dark souls 1 remaster.
107 plats and counting. My rarest Platinum Trophy is from Wolfenstein 2.
Not really an achievement... but when battlefield 3 was in its prime the DICE developers had a whole event going where you would play with or against them, if you took them out with a melee finisher to steal their dog tags you got a dog tag to show off for taking out a developer. It was super fun AND frustrating at the same time😅
Once I started to get every achievement in DMC1-5, I realized how easy soulsborne achievements were
Dmc 4 bloody palace was certainly the hardest challenge in the achievement list.
I also have plats for all DMC games (apart from that horrible DMC 2 that is) lol and yes the dark souls games are quite easy if you have trained up muscle reflexes from dmc lol
the MW2CR Veteran Campaign achievement is currently pushing me to my limit
