  • hey guys today I had problems with the air vents on this bad boy of a truck. I took me a while just to get it out, but I managed to do it. I hope this video has helped you or anyone else you may know, and don't forget to share the video to anyone in need of this sort of repair

    Thank you Jonny. Searched for a couple hours to understand where each actuator was and what each one did. Your video was the only that explained it and your explained it clearly. Great job.

    Dude! Thanks for the video. I've looked for a couple hours to find out what was going on with my air vents. Some videos kinda hit on it, but you nailed it. Once I watch your video, I was 100% positive that is what it was. You are the man!!

    I was looking for replacing air filters in my F350 and stumbled on this. Good video. Your intent of creating this video was informative, you took the time to explain, and you didn't give us your life story. You earned another subscriber today.

    Excellent video Jonny...I watched several videos on how to do this without removing the dash and yours was the best. Thanks

    Thanks, brother! Watched the vid, bought the part, installed it, and it worked. That part is in the most inconvenient spot in the truck. All those degreed engineers that built that truck and this is the best they can do? Missing some skin on the knuckles, but i can now cool them in the vents! Again, thanks.

    Amazing video, just fixed my buddies 09 f250 at the office. Just prying down the plastic is perfect, works well if you have 2 people and one of them has small hands to put the back bolt in.

    Hi jonny I received your reply thanks
    Question: your telling me that the ac has a lot to do with running the heat when it is cold out

    speaking as an engineer, I would have located the actuators in an accessible place and had them connected via a cable mechanism to the gates.

    I have the same issue with my 2015 Explorer. Everything is digital screen, when I switch to the floor or dash vents nothing comes out however I hear the motor doing the switching sound but still no air flow through the vents. Would mine be in the same location?

    What if the temperature randomly changes on both sides. I will be riding along and the temp will go from 45 to 70 when the ac is on. Over time it will go back to 45 or 50.

    I have a 2004 ford f250 4x4 5.4 my problem is heat is luke warm i replaced actuator passenger side and still have luke warm air . I do not know if there are other actuators or if it has vacum

    • @JonnyBarajas
      @JonnyBarajas  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The A/C system seems to be low on freon, might only need a top off, possibly a flush. If there is a leak this would also cause the system to be luke warm. If you are low on freon, this will affect both cool and hot settings the same.

    Does the 09 Expedition have the same set up? Also, was there any popping noise in the vehicle you were repairing? My actuators for the front and the rear are popping each time the key cycles on.

      I'm not sure, haven't owned one. The popping noise is common. Its happened to my truck, past suvs, and our fiesta.
