Dr. Gabor Maté is a renowned physician, author, and speaker who has extensively researched the connection between stress and chronic illnesses. In his work, he argues that unresolved emotional stress and trauma can have a profound impact on our physical health, leading to the development of chronic diseases such as autoimmune disorders, cancer, and mental health conditions.
According to Dr. Maté, stress and trauma can create a state of chronic inflammation in the body, which can weaken the immune system and make us more vulnerable to illness. This can be especially true for individuals who have experienced early childhood trauma or ongoing stressors such as poverty, discrimination, or violence.
To address these issues, Dr. Maté emphasizes the importance of addressing the underlying emotional and psychological factors that contribute to chronic illness. This may involve working with a therapist, practicing mindfulness and self-care, and making lifestyle changes that support overall health and well-being.
In summary, Dr. Gabor Maté's work highlights the complex relationship between stress, trauma, and chronic illness, and emphasizes the need for a holistic approach to health that takes into account both the physical and emotional aspects of our well-being.
Why ‘inside serene’? The idea of ‘inside’ is to navigate and dig deeper into what can human change to accumulate serendipity of thoughts that will help us mentally sync to a healthier, better and more in control of our thoughts.
Being mentally fit means having the skills to handle stress, think clearly and make good decisions, communicate effectively, and regulate one's emotions in appropriate ways.
Let us join together on how to become responsible and highly engaged in building a community of good people. There are many ways to improve and maintain mental fitness, such as getting regular exercise, practising mindfulness, and seeking support from others. Inside Serene's goal is to build a community of mental support regardless of your colour or religion. We are ONE!
Practising self-care and self-love enables us to give back and love others. I need your support to clean our social environment of toxic people and become a more responsible content creator.
    The power of words to control our emotions can be therapeutic to our mental health;
    ✅ “I'm here for you.”
    ✅ “You are not alone.”
✅ “You are worthy and deserving.”
✅ “You don't have to apologize.”
✅ “There is treatment available to you…”
    ✅ “You are strong!.”
" We must be willing to encounter darkness and despair when they come up and face them, over and over again if need be, without running away or numbing ourselves in the thousands of ways we conjure up to avoid the unavoidable". - By Jon Kabat-Zinn

This resonates with me a lot! Regards, from a 45 year old lady that has been diagnosed with MS and burn out one year ago. This happens when you had a traumatic and chaotic childhood. When you’re living a life of not being authentic, totally ignoring your needs and prioritize everyone else. Not having the ability to enjoy life but just struggling through it like a living dead. Sooner or later your body will let you pay for it.

i know what you mean. I have gotten many insights since I was diagnosed and I realised that it’s crucial that we change our attitude towards our selves. We have been programmed as children, and we learned to behave in a certain way as a coping mechanism to survive as children. This doesn’t serve us anymore. We must dig back our real, true selves from the mud that has been covering us. We must value and care for ourselves. We too deserve to be happy and have balance in our life. We too deserve a life that doesn’t feel like torture. We can only be ourselves. What we want and need matters. We matter.
At least I understand this intellectually but the hard thing is to rewire your brain. Not easy, but we must remember that it takes time and to never give up.

I don't recommend this video, the interpretation of Dr Mate stories are misleading and in some cases totally off point. I recommend listening directly to Dr Mate without the interpretation.

You’ve explained me, my mind and body. I’m in recovery 35 years, have had bad chronic pain after accidents, emotional upheaval, have had ace’s growing up, trauma in my adult life, constant stresses over the years. Now, I have Sjögren’s, thyroid, Fibromyalgia, horrible spine pain, anxiety, depression . Nothing I have tried over the years has helped any of my suffering. It’s amazing that I’m still here in this life. It’s like I can’t do a damn thing about what all has happened and the ramifications of my childhood, adult life and accidents. It’s a shame really that the only answer is to make pain my friend. Back to therapy again.
Thanks Dr Gabor..really enjoy your talks!

Thank you so much for loading up this material. Personally it helps a lot on my healing journey. May those in their way to personal healing get peace and positive vibes of this video in despite of the triggers that may arise.
Everybody wants change, but nobody wants to change... Is perhaps through changing that we flow with life, that us we all know at this point, nothing remains the same, life is constant change, an in order to survive and live healthy, respectfully and civilized way, we must adapt, observe and try to understand life's changes. Time is what we lack. Even though, we must not stop going forward. It doesn't matter how slow you go, the thing is to keep moving.
May the world slowly awakes into the new way of living that is coming, awakes peacefully and be part of a big family, only thing, we must learn to observe and control calmly out own animality.
Thanks again!! Wish you all a great week!!

Mind change method has helped me know how to transform my traumas and struggles and not live in a state of stress. You can connect to them from the UK or anywhere- they do zoom sessions and they are just as effective as in-person (I've done both). After exploring so many different types of therapy and practices, I find it to be most complete with no need to become dependent on therapy or medication or a specific thing. It is one way to true empowerment and self- healing. I've also gained a lot from somatic therapy.

@@AileenFranyo yes, thank you, Aileen, this I am doing (Louise Hey method). This helps for one moment, - healing is different, they always describe the reasons, but not what to do for healing. Being with the feeling and then left alone with this - re- traumatised me quite often.

Gabor is brilliant The voice over is NOT!
In attempt to offer more conventionally accepted scientific views it repetitively highlights stock phrases to contradict his conclusions or undermine them Poor effort! Low strategy Dishonourable cowardly statements, intentionally over authoritarian and suspiciously simplistic and limited like a show and tell infomercial for 10 year olds Tut tut !!

Is this like stolen valor? You aren't Gabor Mate. If you have something to offer then offer it but regurgitating other people's good work making out like you are colleagues when you are just riding on his back is weak. Try being great yourself you sound educated this sounds like university paper coat tail riding.
