    Wow! And I’m planning a trip to go to the Renaissance to go to the private beach, but not after this going to check on other hotels. Thank you

    Thanks for including the great tasting tap water - we keep two pitchers of tap always chilling in the fridge. Always think “rookie move” when I see someone loading up at Superfoods or Lings with a case of “spring” water

      Definitely no need to load up on water bottles when the tap water is one of the best in the Caribbean. Also, stop polluting the islands with plastic bottles.

    The water on Arabia is wonderful ... they filter it through pink coral which gives it the fresh taste...

    I knew about the entire list, including the flamingos because I did a lot of research. I'm flying out to Aruba on Saturday, and going to the Renaissance hotel on Monday. You can bet I will voice a concern for the flamingos when I get there.

    Depending on the season you can see the flamingos in the wild too (especially around the Bubali plas)

    • @TheTravelingIslandGirl
      @TheTravelingIslandGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed, they tend to make a stop there every now and then. Just like they do in Curaçao as well.

      I wouldn’t know. Am not an Aruba native. Only a visitor who fell in love with its culture and people

    The natural bridge is incredibly boring. Dowhntown is nice. People are wonderful and there’s no crime

    • @TheTravelingIslandGirl
      @TheTravelingIslandGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The natural bridge and the area it’s in are beautiful but way too touristy for me and yes, there is not much to do there. People are awesome snd I did feel safe everywhere I went.

    Is that even legal about the flamingos isn’t that animal cruelty? That’s horrible

    • @TheTravelingIslandGirl
      @TheTravelingIslandGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know. Isn't is horrible? It is unfortunately not illegal there. In fact another resort was planning to do the same. As long as there are people wanting to take photos for those likes and follows, this barbaric practice will continue.

  • @carryr3116
    @carryr3116 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great info! But, that's horrible about those flamingos. I stayed at that hotel for work and didn't go to that island. Glad I didn't spend the money to support that!

    • @TheTravelingIslandGirl
      @TheTravelingIslandGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carry, I know. It shocked me. Although it shouldn’t. Unfortunately the more demand there is for pictures with the birds (Instagram can sometimes cause more harm than good), the more people and corporations will continue to abuse animals for gain. They might not be in physical pain but this is going against what they were made to do.
