I agree...a contemptible remark..made by insensitive idiots ...who's real aim is to provoke the response I'm making now...typical journalese trouble making
dont know what you mean by 'horribly' but you may be surprised to learn that anyone in their 60s or 70s today is going to look a lot older than they did 40 years ago.
I personally think that they've aged remarkably well considering most are in their 6 & 7 decade. Just wish Gary and Pat was still with us for a reunion or one off special. Great lads from a great show.😊😊😊
"Aged horribly"?? If they are still alive they’re aged, as we all do. Nothing horrible about that. They look OK to me. I'd love seeing them get together for another series!
At the time i worked in construction as an electrician and i can honestly say that it in my humble opinion the greatest tv series that i have ever experienced the first series in Germany was the best i don't think the others quite quite came up to its mark but they were still very good
Living up in Newcastle this series was massive it’s crazy to think how long ago it is now, we’ve all aged it’s just a fact of life, great cast, great scripts
Brilliant. Real life you could relate to. The characters there lives. As good now as it was 40 years ago. One of the best series this country every made . Outstandingly funny . How things change.
Jimmy Nail my absolute favourite and remained that way for all his other roles he took. Seen him live in concert numerous times and he had a brilliant voice. ❤️❤️
What's mad is Neville played the youngest and in the first episode on the ferry when talking about missing Brenda said of Neville 'well they do at that age' He was older than all of them
I remember,it seemed that everyone was talking about it when it first came out. I was 14 in 1983,and I remember buying an LP with all the music on it from the first series. I wish I had kept it now. I suppose in this digital world now,it could be downloaded if I looked.
It is available on cd.Picked it up in a charity shop. The LP I got from a Virgin Records bargain bin years ago when they were closing down but it was missing the cover unfortunately.Still have it.
Are you an ai robot doing the comentry or real ?. The picture you showed after saying Gary holton died was his dad Ernie, get it right or don't bother doing it
Please bring the greatest tv show back. It finished where the lads were heading back to Germany. Imagine Dennis meeting up with Dagmar and finding out she had his kid Wyman meeting bis half brother or sister...
You missed Bacon Balls Arthur Pringle who ran the pub in the country town where they went for a pint after work. Also Michael Elphick. Ray Winston and many more. British 🇬🇧 comedy the best tv tele. Noubt comes close to beating ours 🇬🇧 😊
The title of this video is really horrible NOT the age of the actors, they have not aged horribly at all, appearances change with age. I would tape them on the old VHS recorder and would enjoy watching them the next day. Auf Weidershen, Pet was a great series and one of my favourite programmes back in the 80s.
Interesting article. Pity about the click bait title 'the actors have aged horribly!!' All those still living have aged well. And what's with the photo of the old man in place of Gary Holton?
Interesting to know what happened to them after the show but I think this content is churned out en masse in Asia. "We regret to inform you that he passed away in 19?? leaving us deeply saddened." I've never heard anyone sound less bothered!
When ever im on a downer i just put these mad bastards on dvd cheers up soon i hear the song starting of the episodes brilliant got 2 mention fools and horses aswell
Leonard Jeffrey Osbourne...Oz was his nickname from the first two letter of his surname Oz(bourne) Brian 'Bomber' Busbridge...trivia fact...aside from Harrison Ford, Pat Roach is the only other actor to feature in all three of the first Indiana Jones films. Different characters but most notably the German mechanic that Jones fights with on the plane on the runway and gets mangled by the propeller in 'Raider of the Lost Ark'.
The first series is, hands down, a classic. The 2nd is a great way to see how the lads got on after Germany. The other efforts, made by the ghastly BBC, turned into a farce that I never watched. Really farcical nonsense..
To say someone has aged horribly is a terrible insult, Shame on you.
Yes, and strangely enough, all those still alive have aged well. Just click bait headline.
I agree...a contemptible remark..made by insensitive idiots ...who's real aim is to provoke the response I'm making now...typical journalese trouble making
Loved these guys great actors 👍🏾
Crazy talk they just look the same
I agree AI BS DOWNVOTE
The narrators voice is doing my head in. Can't watch this any further.
dont know what you mean by 'horribly' but you may be surprised to learn that anyone in their 60s or 70s today is going to look a lot older than they did 40 years ago.
I personally think that they've aged remarkably well considering most are in their 6 & 7 decade. Just wish Gary and Pat was still with us for a reunion or one off special. Great lads from a great show.😊😊😊
Talk English
What an amazing cast. Great writing, great acting, great show.
One of the best programs ever pure gold 😊😊❤
It certainly was the acting was so natural it was exemplary. The cast just worked so well together, it was wonderful absolutely loved it!
It was a classic you may be able to get them on dvd
This, and porridge are my favourite programmes ever.
"Aged horribly"?? If they are still alive they’re aged, as we all do. Nothing horrible about that. They look OK to me. I'd love seeing them get together for another series!
they missed out Allys Girlfriend!!!
I absolutely loved it! Have seen each episode multiple times over the years. Great acting from all of the magnificent 7!
Greatest programme ever made. Absolutely brilliant.
At the time i worked in construction as an electrician and i can honestly say that it in my humble opinion the greatest tv series that i have ever experienced the first series in Germany was the best i don't think the others quite quite came up to its mark but they were still very good
No mention of Michael Elphick who played Magowan in S1 (Died In 2002 at 55). Still one of the best shows EVER
Apparently Jimmy Nail said he was his best friend on set as he was completely the opposite of the character he played.
Gary Holton died at 33yrs old,why show a picture of an old man?
Yeah, wtf was that ?
Yes that threw me a bit that
Is that his brother who runs a business in shrewsbury?
I am wondering the same thing myself
Living up in Newcastle this series was massive it’s crazy to think how long ago it is now, we’ve all aged it’s just a fact of life, great cast, great scripts
Hi from a geordie I agree with you
This show was massive all over the country
Brilliant. Real life you could relate to.
The characters there lives.
As good now as it was 40 years ago.
One of the best series this country every made .
Outstandingly funny .
How things change.
Christopher Fairbanks aged remarkably well. Hes never changed. Even the later series he hadn't aged a day.
Re-watching the whole series. On series two again and loving the re-run.
Bomber is or was my most favourite character in Auf Wiedersehen Pet
Jimmy Nail my absolute favourite and remained that way for all his other roles he took. Seen him live in concert numerous times and he had a brilliant voice. ❤️❤️
Hard to imagine Neville is older than Dennis in real life
Best show ever. I was at school when this was out and remember everyone talking about it.
Brilliant program all the family use to sit around and watch this. We loved it in our house.
That picture of the old man is never Gary Holton! he died aged 33 that man looks a lot older than 33.
As good as television gets
The writing was superb casting brilliant!
Great believable characters, a recipe for what was to become an iconic TV SHOW
Got the whole series on dvd, binge on it every year, cos I'm a fellow geordie
You don't need to be a Geordie to love Auf Wiedersehen canny lad. ;-)
Ye I do, best series been on TV I reckon, the 80s series anyway
How dare you say someone has aged horribly, what an insult, how dare you!!!
It was 41 years ago ( 1983 ) . I think they're doing OK still acting and performing
It will always be a GB classic. The lads were all Brilliant.
except Noel clark who is nothing to do with it . . .
Jimmy Nails Cover Rolls Royce, "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" Classic
Rose Royce lol.
@@jane1975 Yes, Rolls Royce , "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" (1978), What's Wrong With It
@@morriscox6595 Nothing is wrong with the song, but the group was Rose Royce not Rolls Royce which is a British car manufacturer.
@@jane1975 J, ur right, 🤣🤣, Merry Christmas, Hun 🌹
@@morriscox6595 Same to you too.
Im a massive fan of aufviedersehen pet watched it 1983 when a kid on tv and i have the box set
Absolutely brilliant series! Everyone gets old y'know
What's mad is Neville played the youngest and in the first episode on the ferry when talking about missing Brenda said of Neville 'well they do at that age' He was older than all of them
What about Brenda (pet), the only woman who appeared in all 6 series !!!
Dear Brenda.....
what an amazing and funny series this was, brings back alot of happy memories, loved these guys, its one of those series i can watch over and over.
Dont think Gary Holton aged that much . What i do know is he is in a cemetery about 8miles from where i live
Aged horribly
Dude you say that about every past tv series cast !
Start to finish absolutely fantastic! Great cast, pure gold!!
I remember,it seemed that everyone was talking about it when it first came out. I was 14 in 1983,and I remember buying an LP with all the music on it from the first series. I wish I had kept it now. I suppose in this digital world now,it could be downloaded if I looked.
The whole lots out there to download or buy boxed sets
It is available on cd.Picked it up in a charity shop. The LP I got from a Virgin Records bargain bin years ago when they were closing down but it was missing the cover unfortunately.Still have it.
Tim lived 5 mins up the road from me in a northeast village , he lived and died there ❤ wonderful man he was
Gary holton died in series 2 so where did the random picture of a old man come from ?
😡🤬
It's clickbait. Most of these videos that are made are for clickbait, and these people get away with it
What do you expect it was 40 years ago. They are not immortal!
I think you're incredibly rude and disrespectful to say the actors have aged horribly, you should be ashamed of yourself 😡
😂
I loved this programme and these actors❤❤❤❤❤, love your video too ❤❤
Are you an ai robot doing the comentry or real ?. The picture you showed after saying Gary holton died was his dad Ernie, get it right or don't bother doing it
couldent agree more Ray at least get it right with the correct pictures
Absolutely disgusting.
Lol i hope he doesn't do anything stupid after that confidence builder 😜
Factually incorrect and disrespectful. Absolute 💩
loved this show i have the box set
Please bring the greatest tv show back. It finished where the lads were heading back to Germany. Imagine Dennis meeting up with Dagmar and finding out she had his kid Wyman meeting bis half brother or sister...
They shall be ever in our hearts , they will never age😊
Not a movie, a TV series!
OZ WAS MY FAVOURITE
Will be 40 years on the 11th November since the first episode was broadcast. Dearest Brenda...
You missed Bacon Balls Arthur Pringle who ran the pub in the country town where they went for a pint after work. Also Michael Elphick. Ray Winston and many more. British 🇬🇧 comedy the best tv tele. Noubt comes close to beating ours 🇬🇧 😊
Great show
This is a nonsense. You need to get your facts right. Especially in the case of Gary Holton.
Absolute legends
Moxey is a great actor.
1983, some of the actors were in the 2000's version of the show so why put them in this list.
They're all on Daily Motion, for anyone wanting another watch.
Dennis was the old man of the group and Neville was the young lad of the group but in reality Neville is older than Dennis.
Personally think they all look good for their age.
It was class I loved it
Interestin vid narrated by a robot, and a glaring error on Gary Holt .
Sorry ....Holton .
Was massive back in the 80s
It wasn’t a “movie” it was a tv series!!🙄
Leaving us deeply saddened lol
Moxie from this has recently been in EE as Georges dad.
Click bait bollocks, show some respect !
people grow old .
You have zero knowledge on these characters and it shows.
This is bollocks..Bill Nighy and Noel Clarke should be nowhere near this video
There are production issues with this video!
The title is a bit rude. Were you dragged up boy?
Interesting to know what happened to them after the show but I think this content is churned out en masse in Asia.
"We regret to inform you that he passed away in 19?? leaving us deeply saddened."
I've never heard anyone sound less bothered!
Only watched because of oz and Barry class
Got series 1 2 and 3 and dead funny
Ffs! People have changed in the last 40 years!!
How very dare they!! 🤣🤣🤣
That Vicky was gorgeous so I'm glad it's not shown her forty years later.
When ever im on a downer i just put these mad bastards on dvd cheers up soon i hear the song starting of the episodes brilliant got 2 mention fools and horses aswell
Fantastic program🎉🎉🎉🎉!!!!!
Who the hell is that old guy after gary holton because that aint him all in bad taste that 😞
Oh no not another deeply saddened 😢please can someone take those videos of such lies
its a bloody chinese production ...
That was NOT GARY HOLTON!!!!!!!!!! He died young
Sorry Gary Holten passed away because of a drugs overdose.
Leonard Jeffrey Osbourne...Oz was his nickname from the first two letter of his surname Oz(bourne)
Brian 'Bomber' Busbridge...trivia fact...aside from Harrison Ford, Pat Roach is the only other actor to feature in all three of the first Indiana Jones films. Different characters but most notably the German mechanic that Jones fights with on the plane on the runway and gets mangled by the propeller in 'Raider of the Lost Ark'.
Dear Brenda...!
Loving the channel, what is the music accompanying the clip? I want it as my ringtone
Tbf, the nail file has aged well!
I find it difficult to understand when you say the place of birth.
They look well to me apart from the dead ones
Gan on bonny lads!
terrible title for people getting older 😮
This video I so lame with the narrator's robotic voice and calling the Tv Series a Movie!
Refer to it as a movie ? Do your research
😂love all the greybeards’ indignant reactions to the whole ‘aged horribly’ thing. Presumably, they too have aged horribly
😂cant see how the v aged all that much, just matured, if you think they have horribly compere the to the rolling stones
6:45 He looks a bit older than 33 in my opinion.
No mention of micheal sheard then?
graingers not changed that much
What a horrible title, shame on you.
The first series is, hands down, a classic. The 2nd is a great way to see how the lads got on after Germany. The other efforts, made by the ghastly BBC, turned into a farce that I never watched. Really farcical nonsense..
