They lied to everyone and treaded me like a prisoner with no communication and contact. Sounds extremely brutal. I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I'd suggest, do have sabr and trust Allah, they'll face the consequences of their actions in this life or the Hereafter. Do focus of having gratitude and tawaqul, that will please Allah. I'm glad you have resilience and faith. allhumdullilah! Allah has said in the Quran, Indeed, [O Muḥammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allāh guides whom He wills Allhumdullilah for the fact that you have been guided to the truth and Allah has also said in the Quran, And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased Have Sabr and In shah Allah all the hardships will make sense and there will be great ease in your life, ameen summa ameen!

Salaam sis! I also switched to vocal only songs for Ramadan and it's true that Quranic recitation sounds so much more incredible now. I don't follow the ruling that music is haram but I think it's worth quitting just to see if you get benefits. Songs are so pretty without music too.
