theory:
Benjamin is actually a hallucination from all the trauma
the mother is in eternal sadness because of the abuse to misfortune and her which is why there is a eternal happiness end
the dad is not found because the dad is dead or was doing drunk driving

If starving to death is even on the table, then your country has MASSIVE problems that need to be dealt with.
Take Africa for example. There ARE villages where people are starving, but they only live that way because they’ve had all their other prospects taken away by militant warlords constantly clashing with each other, killing farmers, kidnapping children to force into their armies, etc.
It’s never as simple as just not having food.

Has anyone notice that Morgo looks like "The Beast" from Over the Garden Wall. If anyone has seen that awesome series with Eli Wood as the voice of Wirt. Plus in the end there where Ben using his stick/wand with a crystal at the end against Morgo it had a blue glowing orb just like Whitebeard's sword in One Piece.

I love that the creaters of Fran Bow made this. Also the cat in the beginning of he had green eyes, he would look like Mr Midnight! (Also in some parts of the game, there are some hair things oh and a guy from Fran Bow! He helps her at times ^^)

That would also explain how Misfortune's love for a fox, and how her mom drinks (If she's Fran bow.) That would also explain why Morgo targeted Misfortune! Her mother, had experiences with paranormal events!

@@Nin77731ell everyone in little mistortune wears a mask, it's probs bc they're depressed and trying to hide they're sadness with the "happy" mask (that's what it's called in the game) so if the bus driver isn't wearing it, that means he's not depressed, but seriously, misfortune's country is so depressing.
@@Nin77731 Based on other events that happen in the game, I'm pretty sure it means that the bus driver found his own happiness, because when we collect all the sparkles throughout the journey and at the end of the game when they "travel" back to Misfortune's mother, she takes her mask off, basically symbolizing that she was able to find her eternal hapiness thanks to Misfortune, so I belive that the bus driver not having a mask means that he found happiness in his life maybe because of his job or because of other outside factors in his life
I have a theory(Ik its late)so the grave that Benjamin touched was misfortune’s grave like at the end she found out she died at the good ending.when I saw the house was empty I thought that was bc the creature aka(mister voice) brought her back to the day she passed away and it was either years after and her mother went along with the rest of her life.Benjamin was helping her find her way to where she belongs but the voice was trying to bring her to hell tricking her like it was “enteral happiness” THANK GOODNESS BENJAMIN HELP HER!!!!!
Wow i never thought this way before. Never playing the game though i only watch the gameplay on youtube. So this is what he meant of this eternal happiness it's so damn sad.

I cant grasp the fact that so many people is able to tell a joke or two here or actually I can. I guess most people see this as just a very artistic or weird and profound game but right now this was more than just a game for me, I cant begin to explain now its just... its hard to say, most people wouldnt know, its no easy to tell how I feel now... even if someone mocks me I will say that it really took me to a trip to discover that deep down inside of me there is just a naive little kid who left home looking for a so called "happiness", driven to do things that only toon him far away from home and now he is tired and scared and just wants to go back home and find his mommy there even if he knows she is not there anymore, im sorry... being more logical I would say the way this is made is like some kind of therapy, maybe the people behind this made their homework about how kids see things and by doing so they are able to evoke that perspective
Plus the artistic direction is very well done, I have a like for foxes myself ever since I was young and I know that in some folklore foxes are considered to be kindred spirits and creatures that can connect both the physical world and the spiritual, they are considered as messengers

Theory:when she found out she died from a car I think that was her dad because she said"wheres the car,is daddy out again" but she had an imaginary friend that was a fox named Benjamin and she went crazy over time and had hallucinations and heard a voice only she can hear shes trying to gain back her sanity by getting the voice out of her head so the end of the game is actually her being sane again
Yes, her dad killed her on accident. This journey was forced along by "Mr. Voice" so that he could steal her soul but he failed because Benjamin saved her.
Her mom was the one who drove her dad's car while drunk though.

Which is why the fans of the game still discuss which parent might have accidentally killed her; it's meant to be ambiguous. I feel like this game is teaching people about what they are doing to the world and the part misfortune said "that sign doesn't work" it's actually a bit true.
This game just makes me cry it is so sad and messed up. I also got abused by my parents that's why this game makes me so sad and feel bad for Misfortune. She deserves better and I hope she's in a better place now :) ❤❤

My favorite character besides misfortune, has to be "the narrator" (Morgo). He sounds like a trustworthy person and good, but really, he is very sly and mysterious liar. But there are times where it seems like he actually cares for misfortune and wants to be a good father figure.

I was so excited when itward showed up, I didn't realize this was made by the same people who made fran bow until that happened and I checked. It makes me wonder if Morgo is the demon from Fran bow with a different name/form. They seem to have the same goals, at least.

Here’s something I noticed…
First off, you ever heard of a book genre called “speculative fiction?” Speculative fiction is the type of genre that makes you think (think “1984” - that’s a great example!)
“Little Misfortune” would be considered utopian fiction. The game is very innocent (visually) but the game is actually very dark and more sinister than we realize.
“Among the Sleep” would be an example of dystopian fiction. This is because the darkness is expected and we see it throughout the entire game.
Both games are absolutely amazing and they have great stories!
