You got well lucky with the Klaus Schultz records. The thrift shops round my way are just full of James Last, Rick Astley and Now That's What I Call Music compilations. Thinner than a bottle of paint remover!
This is pretty much how I make most of my beats these days. Lay out a few patterns first, then find stuff and make it fit. Keep up the cool experience videos!!
So good, thank you! I don't know about your other subscribers but if I were you I wouldn't worry about the length of the video. I suspect I could watch an hour of you hunting for samples, just sayin'.
Stupid question, but how much does a Vinyl cost? Like, one of those to dig? I found out my father in law got a Vinyl player for Xmas and I'm thinking about using it for sampling
@@mpchead I checked out his works . The flute is amazing ! I couldn’t believe how he incorporated Indian Classical Music Scales( Raga) in them . It was stunning . Needa make some beat . Super fired up
Fire as always, sir. Quick question-- do you have a soundpack via Patreon or Bandcamp for all your most-used drum one-shots? I always love the drums you use in every damn video. Thanks, Marlow!
Hey man, I love the qrates site. I am currently working on my own vinyl releases. I make techno. An I really wanna get as many pieces of promo vinyl out there, I have a E.P coming up and just wanted to know, Did u press at 33 or 45? 12inch? Im going for 1 side 33 with 2 tracks, And one 45. maybe ill do 2x 45 12s. How long did it take to press?
Let’s say you make a dope beat from a prince sample, would you put that beat out there knowing you can’t afford to get that sample cleared? Or should I not be stifling my creativity worrying about that shit
@@mpchead that’s dope man I’m also Portuguese but raised in London, I’m about to start a TH-cam series. Could I dm you a private link on Instagram to get your opinion would really appreciate your critique ?
You know you don’t have to hit a new pad when you chop. You hit the same button and it will chop onto the next pad for you and you can Quantize while you chop👍🏽

Thanks for showing a style of putting drums first as you match the drum pattern to the samples
As a big Zappa fan I’m stoked to see you add a record to your collection. Good video as always man

At around 1:44 you kinda record into the different pads by pressing the pads, How do i do that?
In the sampler you have the option of pads, and even in the Sampled edit you can chop this way.
Let’s say you make a dope beat from a prince sample, would you put that beat out there knowing you can’t afford to get that sample cleared?
Or should I not be stifling my creativity worrying about that shit
