Pau will go down in history as one of the greatest songwriters ever. Just for writing a concept album as a teenager she's already ahead of most. The tone of the guitar solo in Disciple always reminds me of Adam Jones

No doubt. Just a matter of time before the larger world catches on.
Concept albums are usually band-killers, even for seasoned songwriters. The fact that Pau not only pulled it off but totally crushed it only confirms her brilliance and she’s just getting started. I’m a lyrics person and put a lot of emphasis on that in the music I listen to. The Warning is the best out there right now in the rock genre and maybe overall. It’s nice to see others recognize her artistry.
Pau and Dany, but yeah they're both brilliant, and also ale wrote dust to dust almost completely by herself
Paulina at 13 and being the master mind behind the ( queen of the murder scene ) album and writing songs like black holes with brilliant lyrics, music and vocals, im mean come on ! Her drumming skills are unmatched also. I believe It would be a terrifying but beautiful and amazing trip thru her mind and her music just gives us a glimpse of a complex thought process and the true genius that is Paulina.
Their ability to compose masterpieces is reminiscent of a band like Queen. From a light ballad, to a power ballad, to their mega rock songs. They not only have incredible meaning, but they are memorable and catchy stadium anthems.👍❤🤘
You probably already know but Queen is one of their early influences, along with Pink Floyd, AC/DC and Muse.
Facts
The Warning is the greatest band the world doesn’t yet know of. Sure, they’ve got us hardcore TWA members but this amount of talent can’t stay under wraps much longer. When they explode on the world stage they will have paid their dues and perfected their craft and will remain there for a long, long time!
Only reason why i found this band because i google new bands of 2023 and The Warning came up.
The next generation of metal doing us proud.
They do draw in a whole lot of metalheads with their unique and innovative rock music.
As others said, the "extras" are all members of TWA. The production put together by their manager Rudy and a local production company. Top notch, world class.
Paulina is the most in touch song writer, singer,drummer,keyboard player, composer in modern history
Fun fact, the woman the camera focuses on in the last shot is Mona their mom.
This is a Mexican production. That team always showcases each girl.
They sound almost like their album live. I saw them live in Houston last year on May 18th. Disciple live sounds like the album. They are awesome live.

You should see them play this live. Pau gets up onto her drum stool to sing "Swimming with the Fishes til they drown", during the mid stop. Plenty of videos of their shows during 2022, and they are a studio quality live band. 🤩

So true about their songwriting. Interpret the song as you will. They may have written it with a specific idea in mind, but ultimately they give us listeners an escapism to get whatever message from it that we will. David Bendeth, their producer on the album 'ERROR' said in a video with Rick Beato that he "loved working with The Warning because there is no fluff in their lyrics."

I have always thought their vocalizations (the "oh oh oh oh, ohs") in many songs are using their voices a replacement for another instrumentalists. In Disciple, imagine those call outs being played on keyboards by a 4th member. It would totally fit as a keyboard part. I don't know if that was their intent, but I think it helps them sound like much more than just a three-piece group. I can also tell you that these are a great hook in a live setting. Really gets the crowd engaged.

As Paul would say, fun fact. Pau came up with the idea of this song in Toronto Canada, at a grocery store. She followed Dany around grocery store, describing her idea of the song. This song is a duet, Dany is the leader and Pau is the disciple, repeating everything that the leader says. ⚡️🤘🏽🖤

Fun video facts: It was shot in a local museum that used to be a steel plant (or something like that, correct me if I'm wrong). The "army" were all local fans who volunteered. This was shot during the pandemic, so the masks served a dual purpose, both safety and serving the dystopian aesthetic.

The insanely good pounding bass line, Pau’s brilliant rolls and fills, Dani’s energetic guitar screeching, the harmonies, the dynamics. This song is a classic.

They write incredible songs that are so hard driving, yet catchy. Such perfect compositions with infections rhythms and grooves, hooky guitar riffs, insightful lyrics, epic vocals and harmonies, dynamics, pauses and key changes. They will be impossible to be ignored much longer. They are just too good. Future Legends!

Another great reaction Rosalie. You are one of only a few reactors who delve into the lyrics with some depth and you get that DPA write with purpose and message, while leaving room for listeners to take the message that they need from each song. You are also starting to get the point/counter-point approach that they use in their songwriting. It is also not unusual for them to incorporate two distinct perspectives/voices/characters. There is debate/conflict between characters in their songs, this one being an example of that. One side is encouraging us to resist, the other is ordering compliance. There are other great examples of this on their current album, see Error and Evolve to name two.
Keep up the good work and your exploration of The Warning.

Great reaction! These lyrics are so provocative. I felt "the sun is your enemy today" at the beginning was social media manipulating the disciple to keep its bleeding eyes glued to the screen, while "the sun is my enemy today" in the later verse is the disciple, unwittingly but fully convinced. Paraphrasing Pau, social media creates communities of like thinkers who come to feel other communities are reflective of a system that needs to be destroyed or dismantled. "Kill the system, kill the man" is the disciple speaking. The system isn't explicitly described by the lyrics because it's different for each community marching in lockstep inside their "(cyber)space of ignorance." Love this song, love this band, love your reaction!

Others have recommended XXI Century Blood (the song and video, although the album is superb). Disciple really is a followon to XXICB. Its video was nominated for quite a few awards, and IIRC won at least one.
All of their videos except for Error were recorded in or around Monterrey, many of them at interesting landmarks. This was at the Museum of Steel, I believe it's called, a former blast furnace. The critics celebrated in Narcisista should take note that their videos effectively promote tourism to Monterrey, with some interesting out of the way locations.
"The sun is your enemy" may be a reference to the saying that "sunlight is the best disinfectant" (to misinformation).
In phylosophy that part always reminds me plato's cave allegory.
This band is amazing. Got to watch them open for Halestorm on a trip to Colorado in October. They sound incredible live, if not better live.

Superb reaction/breakdown Rosalie! I agree their songwriting is off the charts. Even my all-time favorite (legendary) bands have released songs I don't care for. I cannot find a single filler song in The Warning's entire catalog.

yesterday I attended my first Patreon Masterclass with Dany. The passion is real, the energy, the 'feels', the voice. The real deal.

I'm glad, you as an experienced songwriter praised their composition-abilities up to mentioning, you learned something by what they were doing. And I am also wondering, why they haven't already a much bigger following, but on the other side it might be much safer for them to make smaller steps to the top, as climbing it in a rush and maybe lose their grounding and the connection to the fanbase, which also are characteristics, which make them so special. I enjoy your reactions. I recently watched a masterclass on drumming by Pau. It is in Spanish, but it had sub titles. The song she highlighted was Desciple. She broke down the writing process of that song specifically, plus an overview of her philosophy on songwriting

Well, *Whisky-a-gogo* is not a big venue. Perhaps for 500 people so they sold out in hours so they just had to make another show. I flew from Stockholm and saw both of them. 😜

They just announced that they are opening for their favorite band and inspiration for four dates. They are opening for MUSE! There is a video of them getting the news from their manager that they will be the opening act for the band that inspired them and it is awesome. What's even more awesome is that they are doing it in less than a week!

You really need to check out Band-Maid, The Warning and them are fans of each other and they finally got to meet in California this past October, One of Band-Maids newest is called Influencer check it out then do a live video for either their songs Play or Freedom. Rock is alive and well and in the hands of some very talented women

They spent most of the summer touring with Halestorm. That's where I first encountered them. They opened for Halestorm in Kansas City in July 2022. Been listening since. And Lzzy delivered later that evening as well. Great stuff!
