If you attach a flat float by silicone rubbers (×3 / x4) and don't use the side eye, you can place the rig on a conventional winder, and store flat floats separately. Labelling of winders seems to cause irritation for some. A Brother P-Touch label maker will allow you to print precise details of the rig. The labels stick easily on the side of any winder, and can be removed when required. The labels are laminated, so are resilient to water.
I still use the old Fox match, I prefer them as the ends had an extra piece of softer black plastic to help stop rig line kinking when stored for a long time
YT won't let me add the link to Alan T and Tommy P discussing these over on the Catch More Media channel. Apols. Store the rigs (bulk / olivette, droppers AND the silicone for the float) on 1m of 0.25mm diameter flourocarbon, with a loop at each end. Attach the rig to the line from the pole tip loop-to-loop, and the hooklength to the bottom of the rig line in the same way. This way you're not leaving a load of line on the winder. The silicone for the float slides over the knots and you can attach the float as normal. Just carry the floats and rigs (on standard winders) separately. You're welcome.
The best pole winders are Daiwa slide winders, I only use these and Rive, tried map and they're crap same as preston, they both melt when you try to clean the writing off them, I would use Matrix but I want 19 not 18cms
I have a problem as I don’t like writing with permanent marker on my winders. I used to purchase some belting labels off eBay but they no long make them 😕

Pre tied rigs on winders should come with float / shotting etc on the winder not just in the packaging
Hand sanitizer works a treat on permanent marker on my Preston winders.
Aftershave also works.
Don’t use flat floats but that’s a great idea

Preston winders break easily especially the longer ones
What size is the Guru case.?
The 420 EVA case will hold 8 of the standard winders as described.
The longer winders might fit the 450 case. Not certain.
Thanks for the info.

Just use acetone and it wipes straight off!
Use Hand sanitizer to remove pal
Thanks for that lads.
Alcohol screen wipes
Dymo LetraTag lable maker get the plastic print tape spot on. I can fit two labels on one print then cut it down the center.
5 Times has clearly got too much time on his hands 🤣
Why don't Matrix offer spare winders if you lose one from their pole winder trays?
Easy to lose them cos they sink.
Isopropyl alcohol
Sorry but all pole winders look the same and do the same just have different colours
