Not my top kit it's for someone else. But, we used external bushes for years without issue when they were all we could get. Do you have a reason why internal are better?
Not lost a fish as yet line direct onto elastic just got make sure you check everytime you use and re tie the knot if needed or buy a new elastic if needed. The benefit of using line direct to elastic is you can use them for both up in the water and bottom rigs. I see you are using external bushes ive lost fish when the line goes over the bush internal all the way for me now they are much neater. Just big carp i will use dacron. Just find your post funny that you are worried about the line cutting into the elastic but you are more than happy to use them bushes that dont make sense to me that
@@apassionfortangling3671 I use Nufish zipp 10/12 with the knot connection, best elastic ive ever used soft enough for bagging silvers, perfect for f1s summer and winter and strong enough to land carp. Obviously every waters different, the water i fish mainly the carp are easier to land on soft elastic ive tried fishing stronger elastic thinking i would land them faster but it had the opposite effect. Preston 13h is another brilliant elastic as is Black hydro. As for dacron i just buy coated braid from carp section and make my own alot cheaper that way.
that coated dacron ruins elastic use a soft dacron out of strong braid our just use a bead had many of 200 pound weights with mono behind knot and bead that stiff dacron not good in my opinion but personal choice
Thanks for the comment. I'm not connecting the nylon straight to the elastic it's okay for10lb carp but I'm after a 30 pounder it'll be like cheese wire. I'm also now using 30lb Amnesia for the connector it's smooth and I bit thicker than the braid. The Guru connectors are fine. It's coated braid but I can't see a problem apart from the diameter is a bit on the thin side. Some coated braid goes a bit crunchy when it gets old so it's something to watch for. I'll give the mono straight to the elastic a test by pulling the elastic at full stretch for an hour but I don't fancy its chances 😬👍

What a name of the cannel!)))
Nice one 😊
You need to get internal bushes for your top kit.

Good tips! Do you use this knot on smaller elastics as well with the same guru connectors?
Yep, same way, I haven't used it on thinner than 5-7 elastic though. 👍

That kit is somebody else's that I was elasticating for her. I normally use external. What brand of elastic and dacron are you using?

Dacron's are pretty much a waste of money. Connect your line straight onto the elastic.
We are trying for a 30 pounder, it'll be like a cheese cutter.
I'm now using Amnesia 👍
