I’m looking for a 3-4m handle for barbel, any recommendations?

Any power feeder rods 12ft you would recommend? I went to my local tacle shop and the guy sild me 12ft 2lbs barbel rod which i think is way too heavy for a new to the hobby guy. Sucks to be a newbie

What’s the benefit of a feeder link compared to a feeder direct onto the mainline.

I make mine very similar but without the shrink tube and I tie a loop then then I put my swivel on one end and snap link on the other the same way as Alan attached his swivel

My understanding is you can also adjust the magnet so they can stop bait falling out when shipping but when you turn over the magnet releases and drops in a fall pot-full. So saves us less professional anglers spilling bait all over the swim. Would be worth checking the adjustment of the magnet as it should support a full dump of bait/pot-full in swim ! strength of the magnet can be finetuned by adjusting the screw up or down depending on type of bait. With the correct adjustment of the magnet strength, the lid will open at full pole length by tapping the pole in a controlled manner

Any thoughts on the Matrix poles? MTX5 to be specific. I’ve had the MTX3 for 2 years and it’s been solid but lots have said they’ve had broken sections regularly. MTX5 is around £2,900 now which seems a great price for a flagship pole.

Got 7ft ctx feeder. Absolutely unreal rods. Use it all year round. For the money the ctx range won't be beaten in my opinion.

You can always sharpen dull scissors with a small sharpening stone

Ive used the same pair of scissors for years cost about 2quid from b&m unlike the multiple blade scissors you can cut your worms coarsely or fine depending on the day and venue .😊

I use hairdressers scissors 😝 bought some 20 odd years ago for about £30 and they are still going strong and i fish a lot of chopped worm !!

I have used lead weights used for vehicle wheel balance for years, self adhesive and multiple sizes and weights. 👍🏼

Has anyone else tried fitting the Guru Window feeder weights into the Kamasan Black Cap feeders? A cut with a junior hacksaw to the centre and a touch up with a micro file and the weight will hold around the gum link INSIDE the feeder body....and just add glue to fix it in place. The stick-on weight can be found on the Brazilian Rain Forest shopping site - search "tyre balancing weights". You're welcome.
