Love the Bagdad Cafe. We've just googled the film on Wikipedia to read all about the movie. Its sounds really fun 😁. And yes you definitely need some stickers Dave and Kathy. We will happily stick a traveling tramps sticker on our suitcases! As you know we've been travelling by ship at the moment but everytime we watch one of your videos we start making plans for when we can get over to the states and drive these wonderful places you show us. Fingers crossed for next year. Have fun and safe travels ❤

From what I read, what we see here is not the original Ludlow Cafe; the original one that was once a welcome stop to travellers across California doesn't seem to exist anymore. The building that once housed that café became ever more dilapidated until, one day, it was gone. I like the very old cars around this one, by the way! From what I see, you are having a nice time. Stay safe and healthy and see you on your next project! Thumbs up! Full watch. Kind regards, Paul
We had a great time, Paul. It's a shame that more of these places didn't survive, but when the freeway was built near Route 66 nobody passed by anymore. Over the course of our trip we'll pass though many ghost towns and falling down buildings. They once thrived but time moved past. Thanks for watching and your lovely comment.
I envy you for having lunch as a couple at the famous Ludlow Café, a classic movie location in Baghdad. It was even better to be able to see scenes from the movie together! It's great to see your videos always with a lot of curiosity.
Great to know that you two are having a great time touring those wonderful sights that tell lovely stories. Fantastic seeing you both ❤. Take care Dave & Kathy
Thanks so much for coming along, Yadz. We both loved the movie! It was nice to see it, but sad that it's closed. Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment.

Hi Dave and Kathy. You both had another interesting journey to Bagdad cafe in route 66. stepping in the location of the past movie . Enjoying a meal at Ludlow cafe makes a perfect day .
Baghdad cafe cool name another cool looking location on route 66 . Shame it was closed, still worth a stop off. Interesting graffiti on the walls. Buffalo burgers 🍔 😋 cool Caravans and rvs left behind. cool looking place all to yourselves lots too see Dave & Kathy. Good views Big thanks for showing us around 👍 🚗 😊
Hi Dave and Kathy! That was a fun trip along Route 66 🤗Thanks for giving us a peek inside the old Baghdad Cafe. The movie looked great from the clip you showed us. Oh my, the vehicle with the shag carpet! 😲😂 Have a great Sunday and week ahead ❤
Wow , this is so cool ! so vintage ! it is a historical and cultural heritage place . It's like a lost and found that mark the historical culture of a film. It's great you found it , it's an interesting place ! Godbless always your trip guys Grandma and Grandfa Traveling Tramps. 😊☕❤️
Thanks for coming along with us Christopher. We loved the movie and it's sad to see it closed today. Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment. Love having you along!
Exploring the Bagdad Café and Ludlow Café along Route 66 with Dave and Kathy was a blast! 😄 The Bagdad Café may seem a bit deserted, but it holds so much Hollywood history, making it a must-see. It's like stepping back in time and experiencing a piece of film nostalgia. 🎬🚗 The Ludlow Café, with its vintage cars and charming interior, was a great stop for a meal. The shag mobile was a classic touch! Can't wait for more adventures with Traveling Tramps. Safe travels! 🌟
It's a shame it was closed. Hate the people doing the graffiti. Nice catch of the birds. Good to see the Ludlow Cafe is still operational. Nice video👍👍107
Hello Dave and Kathy 👋. I really don’t have enough idea and some interesting information the entire place. Even if I watched it some movies before. I wish that one day I can visit one parts of road66. Dreams came true but still missing few areas after I saw all your videos. It’s feels very interesting. This Bagdad Cafe looks cool. Thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing again. Have a nice day. Sending hugs ❤️❤️❤️
Hey there Dave and Kathy A great day back in time for you both.. I’ve not heard of the movie “the Baghdad cafe” but how fascinating to be able to go see the cafe famous for it., What a shame it was no longer active and yes you should get some stickers and leave your mark.. The Ludlow cafe looks great to see too, the little mining carts and vintage cars.. I hope you enjoyed your soup.. Wonderful tour as always my friend.. Have a beautiful safe week ahead 💎🔆
Mari kita berkenalan dengan keajaiban Bagdad Café dan nikmati makan siang di Kafe Terkenal Ludlow! Ini adalah perjalanan yang mengikuti jejak klasik Rute 66.
Hi, Dave and Kathy You are back home. I am not familiar with this old movie, but the cafes you stop by are iconic American dinner-ish interior and also menu.. I'd better find that old movie to get to know more about historical site. Thank You so much for showcasing this destination otherwise I will never know... I am coping the loss of the family member, and Kathy's big beautiful smile made my day. Again Thank you, Dave and Kathy. Stay cool.
Hi Dave and Kathy, this looked to be a lovely cafe back in the day. Loved all the stickers. Shame it was closed on your visit. The Cafe in Ludlow was really nice loved the little mining cars and also the vintage cars and trucks. Soup looked good. Thank you for sharing, take care , x Julie and Tony x
Would be neat to see some of these places along #66 restored and made into permanent museums of some sort to encourage more travel in the area. We travelled that route when I was just a kid almost 60 years ago now. Great stuff! Bruce and Otis
There is a lot that have some great museums, but a lot like the Bagdad Café that seem to be lost in the past. The successful ones seem to be in the cities. Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment. Loved having you along, Bruce and Otis!
Fascinating places along the old Route 66, the inside of the Bagdad cafe looked like a time capsule of 'midcentury modern' which is quite the rage now for young people to collect.
Yes. I think your referring to the Ludlow Café. The "Googie" style of architecture was mainly used in businesses like these cafe's up until the 70's. Usually along major highways. Route 66 was back then before the freeways. It was considered part of the "mid century modern" movement. Not many remain and it's fun seeing them. Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment. Loved having you along!
Thumbs up 39 right now! 👍oh its CCH pounder, we love her! This film looks brilliant, we shall definitely grab a copy of this one. Shame its not open but you can see the love people have given to it with all their stickers! Yes TT stickers would be great for these locations. Mini cacti 🌵 that RV has seen some miles, like the versatile dormicile! Every bit smacks to us of why we love America so much, steeped in history and so much of it still standing. The 19th century mining carts were a nice addition, loved seeing the old vehicles too at Ludlow. Nice flowers and benches on Route 66. ❤
It is Nick. Loved her in this movie! All of the cast do a great job. One of the airstreams may have been used in the movie. Jack Palace's character lived in one out in the parking lot. But, I can't say for sure that one of these were the one. Shame there all sitting out there though. A lot of folks refurbish the old classic Airstreams. Thanks for watching and your lovely comment.
Truly is all that's needed! Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment, Joe and Sharon. You know it's funny too. Kathy continued watching your videos on our big screen after I got back to YT work. I was overhearing it. We were at Glacier National Park on our recent trip too. We're also from Wisconsin! On the day we were there driving the Road to the Sun it was pouring also, just like the Cheeseheads you met!
Hi Dave and Kathy. That was great. Really shame to see how run down things are but atleast it’s not completely deserted. Nice to have a spot of lunch in the Ludlow cafe 😁👍♥️
Back from the weekend and catching up. Very cool cafe. I don’t know that movie. The old airstream camper is cool. We could make a great camper out of that old green truck. Plenty of room to stretch out and sleep 😁. Soup with burgers? Never had that before. Looks like a nice little cafe. Fun stops.
lovely share, the roads don`t seem that well maintained for such a famous road.I`m surprised Bagdad cafè looks so small. The green car(what model is it? made me smile) thanks so much for sharing, you guys stay safe. Soup has never been my food, Thanks for sharing, really impressive
Route 66 is a famous road, Rika. Sadly, other than in the cities it's not used much anymore. (or maintained properly) A freeway was built close by where you can travel much faster. Most people use this and Route 66, while not forgotten, just isn't driven. In many places you can almost enjoy a picnic in the middle of the road! The businesses along these section are sadly, mostly closed down. We loved the movie and we're sad to see this one has joined that list. Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment. Love having you along!
Dave and Kathy ❤️ i think i remember this cafe in one of your previous videos. This time however, we get to peek and explore around it. Pity it wasnt open, it sure does look interesting. Love the view of the vast desert next to the highway and all those abandoned automobiles. A true explorer. Thanks for bringing us on this adventure ❤
Thanks for coming with us, Lina. Yes, our first one came out about 6 weeks ago. I promised then that this one would come out the following week. Almost! 🤣🤣 Thanks for watching and your lovely comment.
The Bagdad cafe looks like it's seen better days but an awesome historic place to visit. Loved the bus chassis there. The Ludlow cafe looked in slightly better condition but those cool vehicles have seen better days me thinks At first I thought there was flies in your soup 😂 Thanks for the tour 👍
Ahhh it's part of California yeah it's interesting place maybe there are gems coppers minerals gas or mining that not yet discovered. Keep safe Dave and Kathy
Yeah cute cactus! Yeah maybe a great idea with stickers. We rarely hv a place to stick. Surprising to find the nice chandelier. Was the lima + ham soup nice? Cool showing us both places. ❤ you both too. Yeah my kind of adventure 🎉🎉🎉
Totally abandon very sad...bring back Bagdad Cafe! Look at the birds Egret maybe??? Lunch yummm...lima bean soup looked very delicious. Another great video Dave and Kathy.
Thanks so much Mia! Was surprised to find your comment here already. The video is still unlisted and will go public this Saturday. It is sad about the Bagdad Café. We loved the movie.
Another cool roadside stop. We had never been to Bagdad Cafe when we were passing Barstow. It looks like an interesting place to stop. I haven't watched the movie. I was 7years old watching Tom and Jerry. I think back in 88 lol. Take care
Showing your lack of age, Chris! 🤣🤣 It wasn't a huge movie. But it was good. Kathy and I both loved it. Loved Tom and Jerry too! Thanks for watching and your lovely comment.
Amazing ! Love this! You are a talented people with so much to share with the world. Thank you. Subscribed , liked, watched and shared. Newish friend for life😊🙏 ❤
This is one of my all-time favourite films, I love Bagdad Cafe. It's on right now, on Talking Pictures TV, I love how real all the characters are in their remote environment. Thank you, so much, for posting this great video :0) perfect for all fans of this great movie :0)
We love it too, Stargazer! We watched it again the night before seeing it here and before uploading this video. I know the current owner is trying to get it fixed up again and is doing pretty well with raising the funds needed. There's a great video with "Wonderhussy" here on TH-cam with an interview with the current owner and what she's doing. Don't let the name Wonderhussy fool you! She's got a great channel and is an interesting person. I'd love to see it opened up again! Thanks so much for coming along with us here now. Love having you along!
Bagdag Cafe sounds like a great place back in the day. I like your reflection on the glass! I have to check that movie out. HI Ms Kathy! I hope this place will not be burglarized or trashed. The different penmanships on the airstream was quite interesting.
I believe the shag mobile is an International Travelall. 🧐🥸
Thanks for letting us know Wade. Haven't seen shag carpeting in a long time. Have you ever been to the old Gobbler hotel? That was a blast from the 60's!

The businesses along these section are sadly, mostly closed down. We loved the movie and we're sad to see this one has joined that list. Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment. Love having you along!
Greetings from California. Very lovely film. Nicely done. Enjoyed full. 🙏❤🙏
Thanks so much! Loved having you along!

That was brilliant to see. Hope they do something with it. Great video 😊
I hope so too Cara. We loved the movie and it's sad seeing it closed! Thanks so much for coming along. Love having you with us!
Truly is a beautiful, but somewhat desolate area. Thanks so much for coming along, Nanete.
I enjoyed seeing the Baghdad Café! Kind of too bad about the vandalism but it's still neat seeing all the people visiting from all over the world.
You know I was never a fan of lima beans. But the soup was tasty! Thanks for watching and your lovely comment.
Wow. Interesting
New friend from Amazing world of science by Dr Radha Community post shout out.
Beautiful sharing ❤️
Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment. Love having you along, Isabella!
Those I think are egrets of some sort. Water birds right enough. Love the Ludlow café interior too.
Yes. Thought it may be, but we were in the dessert. Not a lot of water. Some folks thought they might have been storks. They do look like egrets.
very nice production 😊😊😊
well done regards 🔥
Thank you very much!
Newish friend for life😊🙏 ❤
Thanks so much, Marie-Louise. Love you too!
My friend and I visited this beautiful place.
Many cars are parked nearby, there are quite a few people visiting.
Good evening to both of you. 13:35
Good evening. It was nice to see it. Loved the movie! Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment.
Route 66 is such an interesting place! I've seen many of your videos on Route 66. I wish to visit it atleast once ❤
It's a wonderful drive, Somya. It took us about 5 weeks each time (we've done it twice)and we still haven't seen all there is to see!
สวัสดีครับผม บรรยากาศสุดยอดเลยครับ มาเป็นกำลังใจให้นะครับผม😊❤❤❤
Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment.
Bagdag Cafe sounds like a great place back in the day. I like your reflection on the glass! I have to check that movie out. HI Ms Kathy! I hope this place will not be burglarized or trashed. The different penmanships on the airstream was quite interesting.
Thank you for taking us back in time! Look at those old vehicles!!
Nice driving my friend.
