Great video. I was comparing my X-carry legion versus my regular p320 with Wilson Combat grip module. I was quite confused at the end, as my regular p320 handles much better than the Legion.
And I hate the beaver tail.
I thought I had big hands until I picked up an x5. It’s just slightly to big for a locked in comfortable grip 😒
Even with the x-compact grip, your thumb goes over the raised part of the grip and (for me) it's very painful. I heard of the Wilson Combat one's that are supposed to be much thinner there, but haven't been able to get one. Want to get one for a friend, so I can shoot his x-compact when we go to the range. The subcompact grips are good too, but you need a specific holster for them. (They have a rounded trigger guard). I heard of subcompact frames with the regular squared off trigger guard that will fit in a normal P320 holster, but have never actually seen one. Not sure if they actually exist.
Will this mod work as a substitute for the "small" grip not being available? Great video!
If you look at your module, the notch in the back plate only protrudes out to about flush to the back plate... So you should be able to take that tail almost all the way down to the edge of that back plate if you wanted to.. Just use the bottom edge of that back plate as the reference when removing material.
Hi Alma, I don’t own nor have I shot a Sig, but own a variety of other Gun brands. What platform would you suggest I purchase first to introduce myself to the SIG brand?
Hey. My primary experience has been with the P320 line and unless you have some specific requirements any gun in that line will work great. I also like the P365XL XL for carry. My preference would be to get one with a red dot or one that's red dot capable. Let me know if you have any other specific questions beyond that.
How about the under side of trigger guard,, modified to resemble the Icirus alloy grip modules. Any content for that?

I'd like to do a silicon carbide grip mod on my X5 Legion. How do you do that? Does that stuff come in colors?
Thinking about dremeling/sanding down the beaver tail on my p365 xl for a more comfortable aiwb carry, similar to the regular p365. Would that interfere with the functionality/integrity of the frame? Would you recommend doing so? Great video, thanks for your insight.
I don't know if you did it or not, but it does not affect the firearm at all in a functional sense. Im sure you've seen by now but there are tons of videos and forum pages of people who have done this and no issues. I used an m12 rotary tool and removed about half of the beavertail and it's much better now in a carry sense, I didn't notice much difference in firing

Is their a way i can get in touch with you. I have a question about the original grip frames. I want to know if you can modify them to take a legion mag.
Not a Legion magwell, but I have modified them for an STI magwell. Springer Precision used to offer that service to install one of its magwell. Takes quite a bit of work. You'd be better off modifying the X Grip to the feel more like the old style.
@@AlmaCole I just went for it last night and it works great. Their is a very small amount of material that needs to be removed at the mag well for it to fit the base plate.
