- This is a mini Documentary of my healing process after top surgery starring Allen (username: theSLOfox). I feel great, and grateful for all the people who made this possible. As you can see, I'm a little baby for a few days, and I still will need time to recover, but I'm off to a great start!

My friend that was just so beautiful to watch. Thank you for sharing yourself and your surgery journey with us. It brought back so much for me, those indescribable feelings of a literal weight finally removed from our chest. Thank you! Every kind word goes straight to my heart, so repeated words just feel sweeter & sweeter. The help from others is important! It really was hard to turn on and off a light switch that first day. Sometimes we are reminded of how it feels to be a baby, and its nice to have some support around as needed. We lean on others and at times they will lean on us. The ebb and flow of life! It was nice bringing a friendship to that level. I am honored & humbled. Thank you for this beautiful comment.

My surgery is only a day away and I was searching for some comfort. I thank you for making this video. Especially towards the end when you said, "Don't be afraid when it's your turn."... the tears starting falling... that was the most comforting thing I've heard! Thank you!

Ok I admit it I have been crying happy tears because even the sound of your voice there's a change there's of freedom I really can't put my finger on it because I'm so emotional and so happy that you're happy it's almost like your soul is smiling and you can tell that you feel complete you're an incredible individual you're an incredible man the messages and the inspiration that you give to others you know exactly where I'm going with this so I'm just going to stay you are loved by so many people including myself and I feel so blessed to have been able to by a piece of your art and you give me inspiration everyday Sarah was so worried about you having surgery and I told her you would be just fine and we are so happy I for once I'm speechless so on that note don't miss behave don't push yourself yes those days you're feeling like you can do something and you know you shouldn't please don't we love you keep healing well keep the positive energy flowing and know that yes all those prayers I really do have to say that are happy dances we hope helped you hurt less and stay positive when you were hurting more and yes you have a long road ahead of healing but now it's awesome it is so awesome to see the man you have grown into so many times you make videos and you focus on other people helping them reassuring them and much love to you forest you deserve only good things to come!

i myself am an ftm, and im about to undergo top surgery next month and this video is very inspirational to me, all your videos are. i just would like to thank you for posting videos like this one because it is scary to think about even more so to experience it. my surgery went great thank you for asking. i had my surgery in san francisco with dr. kim shes great and my chest looks great. Recovery wasnt as bad as i thought it would be everything turned out to go as planned.

Everything sure did work out amazingly! I am so thankful... There were times when I was angry I couldn't do this sooner, but maybe it was meant to be, because timing wise this all just lined up. So gratful.

Yes! But I feel like a version of myself that must hold back the desire to exercise, run and hike for a while. I must learn to slow down so my body can heal, but do I love my body? Yes, yes, yes. Now more than before!

The body is amazing, combined with mental powers I got this! Sometimes the hardest part is all the relaxing required to heal, I need to remind myself not to move too fast. I am glad you are watching man, you've been good support for a long time.

That's exactly the weirdest part. I have to mentally prepare the daily cleaning.
I forgot to ask, Forest, you did have Dr. Crane do the surgery? I watched some of you other vids leading up to this and I heard Dr. Crane's name mentioned. You'd know Dade wouldn't lead you astray. If he says some doctor is good you can be pretty much assured it's the best information. Take care and don't push yourself too hard. I've had several major surgeries in my lifetime and I know something about letting the body heal. I'm thrilled you are on the other side of this milestone. Man, Allen was really a good person to help you through this. Kudos to Allen...oh, and the other folks too. Cheers! It's all uphill from here.
I went to Crane's clinic, but he mostly does lower surgery so I got someone trained by him. Life is good, results are looking great. Just the waiting, waiting to be fully healed, that's my big challenge at the moment.

That means a lot! this comment brings a big smile & warmth into my heart. I would say day 2 or three was the most uncomfortable pain wise. But these days it doesn't hurt, just has the numb tingle which feels "creepy" but much better!!!!!!!
