Within the confines of Skyrim exist many different ways to attack enemies. Lay traps, get up close and personal with an axe, maybe summon a temporary friend to do the fighting for you. But there’s one method of attack that isn’t used quite as frequently as the others. Can You Beat Skyrim By Only Using Scrolls?

Can You Beat Skyrim By Only Using Scrolls? (in text form)
Because I’ve done so many of these Skyrim challenges by now, and because I almost never make mistakes in my playththroughs, I went with an Orc as my race. My gut told me that the damage inflicted on enemies from the Scrolls would not be impacted by the level of whatever skill would be associated with the effect of the scroll. Is that the truth? Maybe. But I don’t care because it doesn’t matter. I named myself Paper Boy, parkoured over Alduin’s head, made a beeline for the safety of a building, didn’t attack anything in there this time, I don’t make the same mistake twice unless I’m drinking or not paying attention, and exited out into the world of Skyrim, reading for the real game to begin.
Now, like most of you at this point into the video, I was wondering how this was going to work. I had a vague idea of what I was going to do, but it wasn’t going to be easy or fun or family-friendly. This is an elaborate and multifaceted plan that will be a tremendous pain to make work. The first piece of the puzzle was caps. Scrolls can be found out and about roaming the countryside, but they’re rare. You don’t want a rare scroll, you want medium rare and that’s not what you’re gonna find in a wild scroll. To ensure I was able to obtain a scroll, I settled on buying one. I stopped by the golden bucket shop to sell the items I’d picked up in my many travels thus far and briefly attempted to glitch myself through this wall to reach the hidden chest lurking just above the void. I watched a video that showed how to do it. You need a weird magical box that you’re not supposed to be able to obtain that, when dropped, floats wherever you dropped it, almost like a Minecraft block. Because I didn’t have that, I failed, left, and made my way to Whiterun Stables to travel to Solitude. Solitude was not where I meant to go, so I got back on the carriage and rode to Dawnstar.
You know what I’m doing here. At least, you think you do. You thought, like I did, that I’d be doing the exploit with that trader. Well you can’t do that if she’s not there. However, you can still access the chest to take whatever you want. A small part of me hoped a scroll would be in there, there was no scroll, of course, why would there be, but I did snag as much as my body could fit inside it, I momentarily considered abandoning this idea to do a Wooden Sword playthrough, realized I had to see this through, and waited inside a shop in Dawnstar for a few days, hoping the cat merchant would arrive. I just collect scrolls. I think: "I'll probably use these at some point!" And like potions, I always end up with hundreds.

Sometimes I use them after I remember that I have them, but only when I’m in a pinch
I forget I have them until I search my inventory to figure out what I can drop to make more room, then I immediately forget about them again.

Pa shaw! We all cope. Humor masks pain, and he was hilarious. Don't internalize like that. I hope every alcohol joke makes u think about those u care about who mask their pain to your face in person. Mitten squad was a human like u an me, he's a legend of gaming and humor most people will never even know what he was. You and I get to cope with the all of what he could have done more in a perfect world. I'm happy he had a platform he could flourish on. I pray he has some semblance of how much of a King he was. But at the end of the day he created a great many things the world was able to share in and he ended things on his own terms. He spoiled me with his amazing humor and sensibilities and I'm mad he won't give me more. I pray he's out of pain and Jesus welcomed him with open arms.
I would have used fireball instead of firestorm. You can equip it in just your first hand allowing you to use healing or punching in the other whenever you need to, it's a little bit more precise, so you won't always kill your follower, and you can rapidfire it at a far away enemy until they're dead.

Love the Scroll of Firestorm. Saved my butt the other day while walking north to Solitude through the marsh when a troll attacked. I was only level 13 and over encumbered (had quite a few enchanted items that needed to be disenchanted, plus about 800 pounds of forsworn gear I was looking to hock.) Anyways, I, panicking at this point because the troll had seen me, had somehow walked behind a tree in such a way that troll got stuck on it when it ran up. I remembered what I read in that troll hunting book I randomly found bumming around, pulled out the scroll, and it freaking annihilated him. One of those “Well,…. I guess that’s that.” moments.

Buy a house and get a loot chest. That way you can horde your loot like a dragon and yet still be able to move around. Then you should do both the dragon born and dawngaurd questlines. The dawngaurd will allow you to get Arvak a conjurable horse that essentially lets you never be over encumbered again, and dragonborn will allow you to get a summonable shopkeeper with 2000 gold.

Quick tip for any dungeons with vampires, if you go to the 10 shrines on the steps to high hrothgar and read all ten shrines in order then you get this secret effect for one day where no animals will attack you, this for some reason works on vampires to

Don't remember if it was Mittens or someone else, but someone did a "pacifist run" (meaning the game doesn't consider your kills to actually be your kills...) by using the Targe of the Blooded (inflicts bleeding damage with a shield bash) and stamina-regenerating food (allowing infinite shield bashing) to beat the game. So definitely possible.

The "phase through plates" glitch requires SPEED. The faster you're running, the higher the success chance, if you use, for instance, whirlwind sprint into it, it will almost always work, but, usually, sprinting is enough, walking and simple running will almost always fail.
I use it every time to beat that terrible section

If you're a non mage they can be useful very rarely in the early game. But otherwise it's just free gold if you find them in a cave

Melee only would be harder but I think it would be doable
@@tstststs I think the hardest on ground no vehicle enemy to fight melee only would probably be Hunters because of their massive health pool or Elites because they'll melee back and possibly trade with you. And since you can jack and melee vehicles to death, the toughest part is getting close.
Been re watching everything you've made over the years, I love fallout, but have never been into skyrim. Now it doesn't matter, just hearing your voice is like home. This is actually more interesting than you might think. What happens after you have SV for three in-game days? You become a vampire and all other diseases are cured, thus invalidating the run.
This effectively gives you a 3-day time limit to beat the game while your character is drastically weakened. This sounds sufficiently masochistic
I'm not good at editing so i can't really post a video, but I can tell you from experience that having every disease is made WAY more difficult with SkyRe installed. Stamina is essentially nonexistant, and you become a worm in terms of health.

Whenever he said a glitch to get Infinite scroll, I expected him to do the duplicating glitch in whiterun using Lydia.

I did not know about that exploit to use infinite scrolls so I guess the "leave a like if you learned something" forces my hand

I’ve played Skyrim a whole lot of times, and I have never used a scroll. Idk why. I just always saw them as temporary versions of spells and I didn’t think they’d be worth it.
You're not wrong. Much like D&D/Pathfinder, Scrolls in Skyrim are just the basic version of the spell minus the enhancements from the associated School, which means they're usually only good for if you need to cast a spell and lack the magicka or simply can't cast it yet. Most uses of the Craft Scroll feat in D&D/PF are really only good for making money. Wands are a different story though, because during crafting, the charges can actually be enhanced by Metamagic feats and Rogues can use targeted attack spell wands to Sneak Attack. It's really too bad that the closest you get in TES is Staves, but at least you can still do sneak attacks with spells, granted you get Illusion high enough for the ability. You know, the only thing worth taking in Illusion with a sneaky mage build.

I just did the thing I always do where I'm like "this is a powerful scroll I need to save it for a fight that's too hard for me" and then when I get it in a really tough fight I'm like "no no this isn't the time for this it has a greater purpose"and then it's in my inventory still when my hours passes 1000

Mitten Squad is the reason I bothered to play Skyrim and I have about 1200 hours logged into that bad boy. In particular, I remember this video inspired me to change strategies after I got stuck in my master difficulty run. I used to always chuck scrolls, but nuking boss rooms full of enemies or using high level wards to troll vampires is just too good.

This video would be so easy in oblivion, considering how absolutely glitchy scrolls are in that game. Best and easiest glitch to ever be abused in all of gaming.
Does it work with the game with the year edition?
I love Elder Scrolls, bugs and all. It makes shit like the Missingno glitch in Pokemon look like a feature.
I use the scroll glitch to dupe rare & one off enchanted arrows. Very handy.
Oblivion had some great glitches. I especially love that you can complete the game in like 5 minutes because of floating paintbrushes.

You could have also used argonian as the race, the hitskin ability comes in clutch a lot.
A strategy for when using master scrolls, or master level spells in general, is to use Become Ethereal first, then start casting the spell as it only becomes cancelled when the spell is released.
